It's December, so many of the Christmas Specials are coming on television, and will continue to do so up until the day after Christmas. Because of the season, I suppose, while talking to my Nii-san, he and I brought up Christmas Specials, and we started talking about one particular one, that, I, didn't remember until he explained the movie's summary, and that was Nestor, The Long-Eared Christmas Donkey.
What was so, ... Well, I don't know how to explain it, but I only feel like this every so often, but it's one of the best feeling's I think one can feel, is when they can literally few like they are reliving the past. And in trying to remember this movie, which I'm almost certain I haven't seen since I was three or four-years-old, which I did, I just, could literally remember my tree that year, sitting in the carpet near it, watching the movie and crying.
Of course this was after he mentioned three things that jogged my memory of it:
- Nestor having to wear socks on his reallllllly long ears to keep them warm.
- Nestor being thrown out into the blizzard~
- Nestor's mother finding shelter for him and her and her dying in order to keep him warm.
Of course I immediately went to youtube in order to make sure this was the movie, and that I was actually remembering it and not associating this with something random, or just a story. But, nope. I found it on youtube, (And have also have it set on my television to record it) and as soon as I even began watching it, I had flashbacks to WWII.. erm. I mean, the film.
Anyone else remember this movie?
Oh and what's everyone else's favorite/most memorable Christmas film.
And if you don't, or never celebrated Christmas, lol.
