He paced around the small cavern that he was currently calling home as his mind ran on. He had failed once but he had not given up. He had learned how -not- to do things. He wasn't going to trust some fool to do something for him this time. He would kill his brother and the old fool Shujaa with his own claws. He would just have to get his own inside so that they could keep the rest of the pride of him while he did.
Oh how glorious it would be when Rasi fell under him. He would delight in being able to prove himself to be better than his accursed brother for once. To get to stand above him and prove that he shouldnt' have been the first born.

She shook her head slowly as she dropped the meat she'd been carrying just within the mouth of the cave, brow furrowed as she watched him with a bit of concern. "You're supposed to be taking it easy... You promised you would." She had agreed to go out to hunt only if he would take care of himself while she did so... And, as usual, this was what she had come back to again. Never mind that it had been several months since she'd found him again, enlisting the aide of the few that had remained loyal to him in bringing him back to their den so that she could nurse him back to health... And this was how he was going to thank her? "I should just see who else wants this..."

"Hm?" He looked up, pausing in his pacing, and winced slightly as he saw Dunia. She had been getting onto him even though he swore that he was fine. "I was just thinking..."
It wasn't like he'd gone out and started running around even though he was sure that he could do that too. "So you'd rather feed someone else and let me starve for the evening? Just because i couldn't take sitting down anymore."

"You wouldn't starve." She snorted, emerald eyes narrowing as she eyed him for a moment before stepping closer to him, sliding her head up under his chin so that she could nuzzle his neck. "You shouldn't make promises that you cannot keep, you know. I worry about you, Nukta. Someone has to. Gods know you don't worry about yourself."

"I told you i'm fine." He closed his eyes for a moment as he returned her nuzzle. "I promised i would stay here and not go wandering about and i did that." He hadn't promised he wouldn't wander in circles inside the cavern. "I've been stuck here for months. I"m going to loose all my strength if you dont let me go out and get excercise my sweet"

"Fine." She huffed softly as she turned away from him, holding her head high as she stalked back towards the hunk of meat she'd brought back to him. "You bring dinner back tomorrow if you're so afraid of losing your strength over regaining it."

"If i get weak i wont be able to finish things." He frowned as he sat down on the cool rock floor. "I am healty. My wounds have healed and you've fattened me back up nicely." The only thing that hadn't healed, and never would, was his eye. He was still working out how to overcome the missing bit of his vision.

"Then I suppose it's time for you to start training... If..." She paused for a moment, setting the piece of meat down in front of him before glancing back up. "If you promise to let me help you this time." She said firmly, her eyes meeting his, good and bad. "You won't leave me in the dark to wait for you again, Nukta. If you want me to stand beside you then you'll have to accept that I want to be there every step of the way."

".... i didn't want you getting hurt." Many of them ahd been hurt in the attack and he hadn't wanted to risk her life. "But i have a new plan, or at least part of one. And i will need your strength beside me." He couldn't do it without her. IF he came back with her prefect sweetness no one would suspect anything. She could easily infiltrate the huntresses and report back to him how things were going there.

"You can tell me about your plan another night, Nukta. Right now you should be eating... And maybe if you're good I'll let you walk with me outside afterwards." She smiled as she nuzzled him once more before sitting back to watch him. "It's going to be a beautiful night..."

He leaned down to bite a chunk off the meat that she had brought him. It was at least fresh and still warm. It would be good to get to hunt himself again.
"It will storm tonight."

Her brow lofted slightly as she glanced at him, head tilting. "The sky was clear earlier... Are you certain? Either way, we could get a bit of fresh air before it starts..."

"Red sky at morning." he motioned out the cavern with his nose as the almost red tint to the sunrise. "It is starting to smell like rain too." Though it probably wouldn't rain until well into the night.

"Mmm." She closed her eyes, tilting her head towards the air coming in from the mouth of their home. "A little, perhaps... We should get you outside to stretch your legs before that then, Nukta." She nodded slowly, opening her eyes to look at him.

"A little rain never killed anyone." He tossed back the last of the meat before he nodded and stretched. "Lets walk, no sense in dragging wet back into the cavern if we can help it"
