Fifty Seven years ago, the Earth was declared too toxic for human survival. Many people were sent to Mars, because as it happens, there IS water up there. However this focuses on those left here, on Earth.

Fifty Seven years ago, the government started Hibernation. Not the bears-sleeping-in-winter hibernation, but with similar concepts. The government started building massive domes over entire towns. All of then were built in the cleanest areas they could find. In total, there are thirty two. All over the world. Basically, Hibernation was where those who wanted to stay on Earth, or could not afford space travel, lived in these domed communities. Our story takes place in one such community.

Phenwick Square is one of the smallest of these communities, with only forty permanent residents. Phenwick Square has twenty seven identical houses, where children ages 12-17 live, with their own personal nurse, all of which, are female. Phenwick square also has one mall with twelve stores, a church, a library, a small school where children live from birth to the age of 12, the school also has a small playground. The town also has a post office, and in the middle of the town, is The Office. The Office is where the adults (18+) live and work, if they do not work at one of the places mentioned above. The adults never come out, and because of this, the children of Phenwick Square have never met or seen their parents.

Personality: A curious kid that wants to know everything! Always trying to find answers to things or wanting to improve something already that works fine as it is. Kinda shy and not really out spoken, he tends to get rather loud and talkative when nervous or excited.

Nickname: Crazy Clarence, Clare-San or Miss Clare.
Appearence:
Personality: Overly eager and outgoing. She will do anything to guarantee Tesunie's safety and health. A little overbearing and demanding, she can be exceedingly pushy and demanding. Often doesn't care for Tesunie's privacy and will burst in when least expected or least wanted. She has actually been known to interrupt Tesunie's showers or other private actions to insure he is safe. Of course, when Tesunie's objects, she just states that there isn't anything she hasn't seen before.
She often refers to Tesunie as Tes-Chan, and thinks of him as the cutest boy around. One of her reasons for bringing him home is so he wont ruin that cute face of his, and she jumps him if he gets even the slightest scratch (hence why she probably barges into anyplace she wants to, to see if he might be hiding any injuries on her).
Needless to say, Tesunie is extremely embarrassed by her, especially when she does barge in on his private life.

Personality: Being one of the outcasts of the area, Tabi didn't have many friend and most people seemed to think that she was a timid person. But what they thought wasn't true. In all actuality, she was very random and outgoing. She loved to try new things, even if she knew she would fail at them. One of her many differences from the rest of the population is that she was wiccan, and she was able to hear, feel and sometimes even see spirits (this is part of the reason why she's an outcast b/c people don't believe her.) One of her favorite ways to talk to the spirits was through tarot cards.

Personality: Zak is eternally restless, always having to do something at any time. He has never liked the confines of the dome and has dreamed of leaving it all of his life. Very tech oriented, he is often in communication with those in other domes and off-planet, he is also trying to make gadgets that will allow someone to survive on the surface of earth. His work has increased in pace ever since his 17th birthday, as he is afraid of the apparent imprisonment that the adult have been put in.

Personality: She's the local punk. She likes to annoy people, especially people who she can win a fight of. A lot of people call her cruel, but once known, she's the greatest friend you'll be able to find.

((oh by the way, when referring to your nurses, the children have always been taought to refer to people who are older than them by either Miss. or Mr. unless they were told otherwise by that person. Most of the time nurses are referred to as Miss. (nurses name here), but its not nessicary to call them that.))

Tesunie couldn't sleep despite the late hour (as it seems to be night from what I can tell... correct me if I am wrong and I'll change the post). After getting changed as quietly as he could, he crept over to the window. As he cracked the window open, unlatching the lock from it, his nurse called out.

"Tes-chan! Are you asleep in there?" The door opened into his room, and the light from the hallway illuminated his bedroom. His nurse had no consideration of anything called privacy, and tended to barge in when least expected or wanted. The light from the hallway showed the scene clearly, in stark lighting and shadow contrast. The scene you ask? Why Tes sneaking out the window, near frantic after the nurse came in.

"Go away! Your crazy!" Tes shouted, trying to wiggle out of the window faster.

"Come now, Tes-chan. You should be asleep. You'll catch cold out there." She reached towards the window, moments too late. Tesunie's foot had just slipped out of reach and all she grabbed were a few balls of dust and a couple models of star-ships.

After his great escape, Tes ran from his house, to any other place he could, namely the park area. There were viewing windows near there that he would occasionally stare out as he considered something.

A soft knock came from the door. "Come in" the man whispered. He sat in darkness at a desk set in teh middle of a wood panneld room, staring out of a window. He was watching a girl smoke. He also had just seen a boy jump out his window, well heard h is nurse calling after him acctually, and he had seen another boy walk towards the park.
"Andrew, the youth are growing restless...." He murmered to the man in his doorway.
"Sir, the temperature has dropped." the man cut in
"Has it now, Andrew? That can't be good."
"Ah, no sir, it isnt." Andrew said
"Mmm......Andrew, i fear that our dome is dying. Can you feel it?"
"Yes sir, I can."

"mmm....hello," Riley called to the boy, still staring up at the darkness. "It is pretty isnt it?" It was not hard to guess what the child was doing there. Riley sat up. "You know, if we lived out there, I'd be able to drive." he explaind egarly. "They used to drive around in these matal contraptions because there communities weren't as smaal as ours. They were big. Acctually, they were able to go to more than their own community. I'd like to be able to do that but. you know, I obviously can't...and......" He noticed that he had been rambling. "Um, yeah.......Flakes...." he murmered and lay down again. "Hey, can you hand me my jacket?"

Riley shved his arms through his jacket as he got up and walked up to the boys side. "Sorry to interrupt your train of thought again, but I don't think the adults are doing anything. I think that they're just trying to protect those of us who are here, because they think that the Earth is too far gone to bring back, if that makes sense." He shrugged "But then again, I could be wrong. I'm Riley" he added.

"I'm Tesunie. Nice to meet you Riley." Tes just shot the boy with a kind smile. "Your not interrupting me. I couldn't sleep tonight so I decided to come here to think."
He paused for a moment, "If they thought the planet too far gone, why did they build the domes? Why not move everyone to the space colonies? It would have made a lot more sense." Too many question, and not enough information, once again. All only theories.

"He..hello." Tesunie sheepishly responded to the girl. Something seemed odd to him about her, like she wasn't that happy to see them. She had that fake camera smile to her. At that, Tesunie stopped talking, but instead just decided to look at the two standing in front of him.

Was it just him, or was it really unusually cold in the dome tonight? He probably should be heading back home, before his nurse decided to go on a man hunt for him. As it was, when he got back he would probably have a thermometer stuffed into his mouth and a mug of warm milk shoved into his hands.
