((Note that this rp physically takes place at the Firekin-Simo borders, firekin-simo territory, but borders))
It was settled at least for the two of them. He said he would have Kessek return to the both of them, but it was better this way. This way, they would be able to talk, let it all out, and plan for the future and what it held for all of them. he and his sister would go through this testing//quarantined period, and then this would be home, true home. Flicking his tail as he walked Ka glanced towards kai who hadn't said much when they were alone now. She was so excited to finally be here after their travel, but he knew why she acted so quiet, so reserved when alone.
"They'll be at the borders, we'll tell them, it will work out, you'll see, we will find a way to make it work," he said trying to reassure her. Ka didn't want this to get in their way, to get in her mindset, they had to pass the test, she couldn't let emotions grab hold of her.
"I know, now shut up," she snapped. She was happy, but not happy. She wanted Ra'd and Ryujin to join them, they would but in time now. Their group was broken up, but they would, someday, be reunited. She would make sure of that. Flicking her tail she she walked she felt Kessek perch on her shoulder, and she gave a smile.
"Do not worry young mistress, we will be rejoined, and as long as they do not venture into the lands and stay beyond the borders, you cna see them, and I will carry the messages."
"Yes, thank you Kessek," Kai sai with a smile. It was true, they could still visit them on the borders, just no further, no further or there would be trouble.
Ryujin was pacing, it was getting near dark now, the sun was setting setting the sky aflame. "Where are they?" surely they would've sent Kessek here by now. What if something happened? But they couldn't go rushing in, that would appear strange, and Ryujin didn't want to ruin their chances.
"What do you think is taking them so long, do you see them, its getting dark" he began, and Ryujin always spoke too much when he was nervous or anxious.

 Ra'D was staring off into the distance, his mind half-empty as he sat there trying to ignore Ryujin's pacing. It was really annoying how anxious he was getting, especially since he was equally anxious but had it more under control. Golden eyes glanced back at his only companion at the moment, a bit of anger flickering within them. He was tempted to yell...to do something to make the other stop, but he tried to keep cool. It wouldn't do any good to get on his bad side, so he had to go about this nicely. His tail flicked once as he continued to watch Ryujin from the corners of his eyes.
"Would you stop pacing. They'll be here, now sit still." He spoke firmly, keeping the irritation from his tone of voice.

Ka sighed as he watched his sister brood to herself. She was just so silly sometimes wasn't she? Flicking his tail he watched as they moved past slate stone that stuck up from the sand, carved into them were incised images someone had to have drawn. Some faded, almost disappearing into the stone after being belted by hte sand and wind, but some were fresh, perhaps signs of someone recording the prides history, or just trying to find a way to pass time.
There were depictions of No and Kidondo, others pride members as well with obvious markings on each to decipher who was who. Faded though, amongst those on the slate was what appeared to be a female with wings, a goddess, but not their mother, thank the heavens. Her image was faded though. As he raised his eyes from it as he looked ahead he saw the figures they were searching for and he took off at a run.
Kai watched her brother as he peered at the stones and she did as well. Her crimson eyes went over the figures and she as well could pick out the forms of the regents, and she smiled. A line was drawn though, and on the other side werethose she did not recognize, obviously some remaining members of the Safi, though there were cubs as well, and she wondered if the safi was still trying to hang onto their blood line with more children about.
Though as Kai watched as her brother took off at a run, she looked up, and saw the two dark figures, and immediately the pouting line on her maw crossed into a smile, and she ran too, Kessek clinging to her shoulder, as they got closer, she noticed Ka came to a halt, but she skid to a stop nearly smashing into Ra'd, and she smiled, ears back, but in happiness of seeing him, "Hey..." she said softly, sticking out ehr tongue a little like she did with him.
Ryujin let his ears fall back when he heard Ra'd speak, but as he saw two forms running towards them at full force, they became erect again and a smile brushed his cheeks, "Their back!" he exclaimed, and as Ka came to a stop, he gave a nod to his brother, and Kai almost slammed into Ra'd and himself and he laughed.
"A bit anxious were we?" Ryujin seemed so shy sometimes but in a different light more formal in other instances. "What happened, what did they say?"

Ra's golden orbs caught sight of the two from a long way off, a small smile tugging on the edges of his maw which eventually turned into that usual smirk of his. He also saw Kessek clinging on for dear life as the two began to race forward with Ka in the lead, and Kai very close behind. The adolescent ex-Pridelander chuckled with a shake of his head, then glanced at their brother who may as well have been smiling as wide as he could with the look in his eyes. The tension between the two passed as easily as it had come, and Ra was, of course, relieved.
When he glanced back at the oncoming party, he nearly flinched at how close Kai had gotten in that instant. The male watched her carefully, getting ready to take a step or two back in case she needed the room. Thankfully she didn't, and with a smile she greeted him by smiling and sticking out her tongue. It seemed she only ever did that with him..
Ra returned the smile and touched his nose gently to hers. "Hey.."
Ryujin's question brought his eyes to Ka, then Kessek, then to Kai once more. His expression was more serious now. "Yeah, what happened? You guys took longer than we expected."

Ka rolled his eyes at bother Kai and Ra'd, but he held his tongue, at least, for the moment, he always would have time to catch up on teasing later. Ka took a step forward, looked at his brother and Ra'd, and in his crimson eyes there was both promise and remorse mixed into one feeling.
"Kai and I will go through a period of quarantine, where we will learn the ways and traditions of the Simo, only after that quarantine will we be able to be fully accepted as new members to the firekin," he said with a nod, but that hadn't given Ra'd or Ryujin much information for them both, and Ka did it on purpose so that his sister, though she was glad to see Ra'd, would accept her first duty in her becoming a Simo at his side. She, had the tougher explanation.
Kai looked at her brother with an almost disbelief look in her eyes. How could he have stopped there and expected her to go on? Kai gulped silently and looked to Ra'd and Ryujin, who both seemed to anxious, and he gave an almost silent sigh. "For now, only we can go through this period," her tone of voice acknowledged the hurt this had on herself as well.
"The Simo have other new members coming from the roguelands and other areas, and its understandable they do not want a wave of new blood they do not know coming all together, but that gives hope for the future. In time, they will open their arms again, and until that time, Ka and I can still come here to the borders, where there is neutral ground, to see you both and extend onto you what we learn, so that when your time comes, you'll be ready."
"And then, we can be a family again?" and he saw Kai nod, but he continued rather quickly, "Not that we won't be family during this time, its...strange, that we'll be split up," he looked towards Ra'd, for some kind of confirmation, and some sort of support.
"I'm not going back, I want to be here, and with all of you, and if we have to wait, I will wait, and we will be ready, right?" he looked to Ra'd again. Honestly, Ryujin was not sure how Ra'd would take the information, but he was hopeful.

Ra's expression went from serious, to neutral, to disappointment, and finally to disbelief in under 20 seconds - the time it took for the two to explain their situation. He held his tongue and all of his emotions. For now, anyway. But he knew Kai would be able to read past the stoic look on his face. He almost didn't hear Ryujin pipe in at the end of Kai's explanation. His brows were furrowed, eyes going from Kai, to Ka, and back again.
"Right.." he finally said, his voice obviously constricted. He didn't want to argue or yell at them for just letting it slide, so he took a deep breath and focused on the ground as he spoke. "And for all we know twenty full moons could pass before they allow new blood in again. But Ryujin's right.. we'll wait as long as it takes." The last bit was shaky, and he didn't look up when he finished speaking, but he went on.
"In the meantime, Ryujin and I will find shelter nearby and the two of you...don't worry about us too much. Kessek, if you don't mind I could use your help. It'd make the whole finding part easier."

"I understand what you must feel deep in your heart Ra'd, but know this, while we are there, inside the pride, we are not only setting an example of ourselves but you and Ryujin as well, are actions will reflect upon what type of lions Kai and myself, as well as you two are. I won't rest until we are all together inside the pridal boundaries, I swear that to you Ra'd." Ka knew that Ra'd and Ryujin had to be hurt, but what else could he and Kai have done? Tell the regents Ra'd and Ryujin were to join as well? It would take time, and Ka would stay true to his word.
"No matter how many moons pass, I won't feel as a true blood member until you two are at our sides as well," Ka said making a motion to Ryujin as well.
"Kessek will stay with you," Ki said, moving her shoulder so that Kssek fluttered form her own shoulder to perch upon Ra'd's, "Yo will be hte messenger between us now Kessek, thats a huge responsibility, you will do well to listen to any request Ra'd and Ryujin ask of you, alright?" The avian gave a mere nod and clip of her beak together and Kai knew it would be well.
Kai looked to Ra'd, and saw his eyes, and in her's reflected the sadness and disappointment Ra'd had to be feeling in his heart. "I'll come back frequently, I promise, we'll find a den area that will be large enough for when you two come into the boundaries for good," although Kai was already planning midnight meetings to see Ra'd.
"Settled then," Ryujin said standing off from his haunches, Ryujin was upset as well, but he tried to not let it show. Perhaps the first changing in his behavior, but he wanted to be strong and wise for when his time would come to become part of the firekin-simo, for when he would have a place here with his siblings and Ra'd. Truly, Ra'd was part of the family, not by blood, but by friendship, perhaps the same way his mother and aunt were together.
"While we are outside the borders, if we find any intruders trying to come in, we will give word," Ryujin could at least do that for the pride though they did not know his true existence yet.

He forced himself to look up at the two when Kessek perched on his shoulder, smiling a small, rather sad but reassuring smile aimed particularly at Kai, though he glanced at Ka as well. Ra knew he had to be the stronger of the two left out of the pride for the time being; Ryujin wasn't exactly the leader type, as he very well showed during the journey to the Simo lands. With a deep sigh he finally nodded, accepting their words with not much else to say.
"Alright.." was all he said, then he sighed again. "We'll send word when we find shelter."
With that he stood and turned around, ready to leave. "You two should head back now. They might not like you being gone for too long. C'mon Ryujin, we need to find a place to rest before it gets dark."

Ka thought nothing of it after that, everything seemed alright. he knew Ra'd and Ryujin would be disappointed but there really wasn't anything more he could do in reality. "He's right Kai, we should head back and do some scouting to find a nice den site for us," all of them really, he had to be prepared to find such an ideal spot, with a little bit of time spent.
Flicking his tail he turned and glanced over his shoulder, looked at Ra'd and Ryujin, then his sister, and began to walk towards the inner areas of the firekin. Kai would probably want to say something more, but Ka didn't have to stay for that, emotions, they could be troublesome for sure.
Ryujin, knew better then to stick around if Kai wanted to spea to Ra'd alone, and from his brother leaving going in the opposite direction, Ryujin sarted on his paws as well, but went slow enough to not go out of sight for getting separated from Ra'd already would not be a good plan.
He didn't say a word, but just started walking, this was a beginning alright, a beginning of what he hoped would work out sooner than later, Ryujin didn't want to be isolated from his family, not for any more time than necessary.
Kai watched as Ka went one way, and Ryujin began walking in another, she saw as Ra'd was about to turn, and her emotions were bubbling up in her throat, at teh corners of her eyes, and she grit her teeth together. She was afraid, that Ra'd might decide it was not worth it, coming all this way just to wait more moments longer, she didn't want him to leave, leave and then she, to never find, or see him again.
"Ra'd, wait," she said softly, bringing herself closer to his side, eyes shining as she refused to let the tears fall from her crimson orbs, "You knew if there was anything more I could say, I would have, and if there's anything more I can do, I will, please, please tell me you know that before you go..." at eye level with him, her nose was a mere breath away, she could see the rise and fall of his breath in his chest, and she just...didn't want it to end this way, she wished that he, adn Ryujin could stay.

Ra didn't expect her to say anything more, hoping that she knew him well enough to know that he wanted, and needed, time to think. Especially after hearing something like this. He watched as Ryujin got ahead of him, but didn't budge from where he stood. He couldn't look her directly in the eyes, but he knew her well enough to know that she on the verge of tears.
"Don't worry.." he said quietly, touching his nose to hers again. "I know." Ra gave her a reassuring smile, then turned away and began to walk off after Ryujin.
