Pin was walking and enjoying sunny day. It was fall and the day was unusually warm for that season. The plain was big and grass was still green and tall he almost missed someone standing little farther in front of him. He smiled and happily hurried up to see what he would find.

 Viviana had been rolling in the grass, well aware of the fact that she almost perfectly blended in with her surrounding, and could be stepped on by some larger Soquili. But she never cared, she didn't think it was part of her destiny to be crushed like a bug, despite her markings making her look like some over-sized butterfly. So she led her carefree existance, often in her own little world.
Today she was rather grounded, as she stood up, shaking grass off her back, when she heard hoofbeats not far off. Small hoofbeats like her own, not giant ones that could squish her. She wheeled around to see who it was, and saw that they were speeding up to meet her too. "Hello." She said brightly, raising herself up in a little half-rear to get a better look.

Pin was surprised. He was expecting a small animal that he could chase and play with it a little. So he stood few moments not knowing what to say and then made a circle around this small mare he just met examining her markings.
'' Cool... '' he whispered and put a big smile '' Hello to you too. I'm Pin. ''

She turned her head to watch as he circled around her, she thought it was a bit strange, but that didn't stop her from trying it as well. "I am Viviana." She said as she circled around him, examining the yellow and black stallion from head to hoof. "Nice to meet you." She added after coming around to the front again.

Pin followed her move and smiled. It was strange to see someone copy his act but he didn't mind.

"A nickname? No, I don't think so, at least no one has ever given me one before. I suppose it could be shorten to Ana, but I prefer just Viviana." She said after a few moments thought, on if anyone had given her a nickname, besides the kalona who had called her snack, before she beat a hasty retreat.

As much her name sounded beautiful and suited her Pin didn't know if he will pronounce it right from the first try. He spotted few stalks of grass still stubbornly holding themselves in her mane. He smiled.
'' You still have some grass in you're mane. But I must admit it suits you well. ''

"Oh? It always does that, I don't know why it seems to stick in my mane no matter where I go." She said before giving her whole body a shake, right down to her hooves, hoping to unstick any remaining grass. "Is it gone? I can never tell." She said as she tried to stare back at her own mane without any sucess.

He watched how the grass is flaying everywhere and it seemed to him there was more of it that he thought at the first sight. When she finished shaking he took a closer look at her mane.
'' Yes. There is no more grass in you're hair. ''
He looked a little around. Place was calm and perfect for relaxing.
'' Do you live around here? ''

"No. I don't live anywhere really, I don't stay in the same place for long at all. I like it that way, so I see new things everyday." She said, her focus drifting off to follow the path of a butterfly before it landed on a flower next to her.
"I can't imagine living in just one place, seeing the same things everyday." She added.
"Where do you live?" She asked after the butterfly took off again, she continued to watch it until it flew out of sight.

Pins smile widened. So finally he met someone like him. He loved to travel even more to see new places but none of them were so interesting to him to tie him down.
'' Really?! I to love to travel and have no particular place I call home. Well I could call home where family is but I rarely go there and don't stay to long. ''
He followed her eyes and spotted a butterfly she was watching. So he too followed it's leave until it flew out of sight. Interesting. How similar they thought.
'' You like butterflies too?! ''

"I don't have any family, so I don't really call anywhere home, since it changes every day." She said, her attention back on him, at least for the moment.
She nodded in response to his question. "I have always wondered how I ended up looking like an overgrown one, and why I can't fly like one, not from a lack of trying of course." She said, as if it was obvious that if one looked like a butterfly, that they should try and fly like one too. "I guess I act like one too, since they never stay in one place for long."

This was first time he met anyone without family. Even he had one and his favorite member of it was his sister. He tilted his head to her mentioning of her tries to fly. It was true that he saw they're bigger cousins fly but they all had real wings and the ones on her back were only markings.
'' I thought you need real wings to fly with? Could it be that I was wrong? ''

"None at all, at least I think so. I don't remember them if I do have them." She said flicking her curly tail behind her, knocking the heads off a few dandilions in the process.
"Oh you do need real wings to fly, I learned that the hard way." She said, thinking back that she was quite lucky that she chose a small hill to try it out on, and only limped for a few days after.

He tilted his head. Although he didn't spend too much time with his family he was glad he remembered them for at least he had someone to go back to when in need.
'' Don't you feel lonely without family? I know I would be lost without mine. ''
Of course the wings were needed. He could only imagine what was her attempt to fly when she learned important thing like that on hard way.
'' I hope you didn't hurt you're self to much. That is one thing I wonted to try but my mom told me I can't since I need wings for it. ''
Now that he thinks about it he learned so much things from his parents. And didn't do too much silly things when younger since he always had someone to look after him and protect him. For a moment he felt sad for Viviane for it must had been hard to grow up alone.
'' Were you always alone? ''
