Simple question: are there waiting times on handgun purchases in the Seattle, Washington area?
I'm writing a story and need to know.
If there is, then that kind of skews my plan. I guess I could just ignore that and pretend there aren't waiting times even if there are, but...

For shotguns, rifles, or handguns?
I dunno about the others, but pistols are 5 days.

If someone was in a fit of rage and trying to buy a gun I'm sure the seller would pick up on his rage. Also, if they were in such a rage they probably wouldn't go out buy a gun and come back. They'll probably just grab the closest potentially lethal item and use it.

I guess I could just ignore that and pretend there aren't waiting times even if there are, but... handguns yes, rifles i cant remember. If you possess a CCW you can take the weapon home same day you pay for it. (both handguns, and rifles) I paid for my Ruger, and because he was able to clear my record with the sheriff using my CCW number... i took it home same day.
