Lilavati never cared for staying in one place even after she had just been born and although she tried her best to be good, her lack of fear and sense on adventure got her into a quite a few fixes. Today, however, was different. Her mother was in the den and had said they could explore a little but not to wander off to far. Lila took full advantage of this, keeping in mind what her mother had said.
She was exploring some of the other den's in the area. All so far had been empty and she would not enter on that had another's scent in it, knowing that to be rude. It was not long before she came to one such den and sniff around it. It was someone's den and Lila knew she should not enter.
Lila turned from the den and started to head up to the next, but then turned back and simply watched it for a bit with a curious expression. She wondered who lived in the den. She had not had the chance to meet many of the other member of the pride yet and she was extremely curious as to who they were.

Maha was never one to stay home too long. She liked going off on little adventures with her siblings and exploring her home. She did try not to go too far off, however, so as to not worry her parents.
She wondered what to do today, she had no idea where she wanted to go. What she knew tough was that she wasn't going to stay in the den all day. She was about to go and ask her sister to go on a walk with her when she noticed a cub near the entrance of the den. She watched curiously as the cub sniffed around and then turned to leave. Maha had never seen her before. In fact she barely knew the rest of her pride.
All thoughts of her sister forgotten she hurried after the cub, eager to make a new friend. The cub had almost disappeared from view but Maha was relieved to see her standing there watching their den.
"Hello!" Maha greeted as she walked up to the cub "We haven't met before. I'm Maha."

Lila was surprised to see a spotted cub come of the den she was watching, but at the same time she was very excited. She had not met anyone but her siblings, in her short life and she was excited to meet others.
The cub greeted her and Lila gave a greeting back in responce. "Hi Maha, I'm Lilavati. It's nice to meet you."
Lila looked around Maha back toward the den she had exited. "Do you live in there with you mama?" She looked back to Maha. "I live down further with my mama, sisters, and brothers."
Lila waited patiently for an answer, she did not want to see rude and she also did not want to make Maha want to leave. Lila really wanted someone to explore with her, when her siblings did not wish to.

Maha grinned with delight, this girl seemed friendly and it seemed she would make a good friend. Maha wondered if she liked exploring as much as she did.
"It's nice to meet you, too, Lilavati!" she said "You have a very nice name." Maha complimented and she meant it.
Maha followed Lila's gaze to her den "Yes, with momma, daddy, my two sisters and my brother." she answered and smiled at Lila, happy that she lived nearby. "It's not the largest family ever, but it's not small either." she added after a moment, tough she didn't really need to.
"How big is your family?" the spotted cub asked out of curiosity, hoping she wasn't being too nosy. After all, they had just met. But Maha hadn't met any families besides her own and she wanted to know if other families had more cubs than her own. Right now four seemed a lot to her, as silly as it was.

"Thank you. I like you name too. Everyone calls me Lila though, you can call me Lila too if you want."
Lila was always eager to talk about her family, she loved them a lot and was very playful with all of her siblings.
"You family seems like a nice size. My family is big. I have my brothers, Udo, Korrin, and Tendaji; and I also have my sisters Halona, Kitandiko, and Nyuepe'almasi. Plus of course there's my momma. Her name is Nabila Siti. I guess we are a pretty big family. My momma loves cubs, I don't think she would ever turn away a cub without a home."
"What are your family's names?"
Lila hoped it was okay to ask about Maha's family too, since she already told her some about them. She was enjoying Maha's company and she wondered if she wanted to play a game with her. They could play explorers, and explore one of the empty dens. She played explorer all the time with her brother Tenji.

"Thank you!" Maha smiled and then patiently listened to Lilavati speaking about her family. Her eyes widened slightly at one point, so many cubs! It was probably a lot of fun.
"My family?" she repeated. She didn't mind talking about her family at all. Besides it would be rude not to answer after asking Lila the same thing. "Well, Jethro is my daddy and Kamaria is my mommy. My brother is Kobe and my sisters are Kanzi and Omoa. My daddy is a very good hunter and Kanzi wants to be just like him." Maha smiled as she spoke, she loved them all so much. "Omoa's older than the three of us, tough. But she's very fun."
Omoa often went exploring with her. Maha hoped Lila would play with her, too. She found meeting new people and learning about them very exciting.

Lilavati thought that Maha family sounded wonderful and she wondered what it would be like to have a daddy, but did not voice her opinion. She was getting ansty and wanted to play, so she decided to ask Maha. The cub seemed like she would be fun to play with.
"I want to play. I was exploring the empty den's seeing what was around. Maybe you could play to and we could pretend we were looking for some great lost treasure."
Lila hoped Maha liked to explore, Tenji loved to explore and Lila played with him a lot, but thought it would be nice to have another explorer to join their group, or just to play with when her siblings were busy.

"I'd love to play!" Maha exclaimed, maybe a bit too enthusiastically. She often got a bit too excited about things, especially when she met a new person.
Bounding off towards the den after her family's she spoke to Lila "Treasure hunt, huh? Sure!" She wondered what kind of treasure could they search for. The Simbafutaji valued information...And knowledge is power, her father told her that.
"Like maybe a lost stone with a...um..some sort of valuable information written on it?" Hm, now that she said it it didn't sound as exciting. She waited for Lila's reply to hear what she thought about it.

Lila was extremely happy that Maha wanted to play with her and was just as happy to have a new friend. She bounced around excitedly, grinning brightly. When Maha bounded off, she bounded off after her listening as she spoke.
When Maha gave an idea to what they should search for she was ecstatic, "That will be fun and we could pretend that someone is after our treasure, so we have to take the stone to our leaders. Once they have the information all will be saved."
Lila stopped in front of the den and looked to Maha with a smile, "here we are, the cave of treasures."

As Maha listened to Lila her smile broadened. "Yes! That is so exiting!" she let out a laugh. This was great adventure.
Maha stopped next to Lila and returned her smile. "A place any explorer would like to see, but few have." she said with a serious tone. "Well, what are we waiting for then, they are coming!" she grinned again and took a few steps towards the entrance.

Lila hurried after Maha, darting into the dark den. Her eyes shone with excitement, as she moved toward the wall of the den.
"The stone is said to be big, round, and flat. I think it is pure black and very shiny."
She looked to Maha, "Have you heard any rumors about the stone?"

Maha waited for her eyes to get accustomed to the darkness inside and then took a look around.
"I've heard the symbols on it are so ancient that even the Kifuko would have trouble reading them." she looked at Lila with a twinkle in her eye "It has been here for so long that the cave has become bigger and we have to search for it in the deepest and darkest corners of the cave. And it's probably covered in dirt and plants are growing on it." she finished with a satisfied nod.
"Well, at least that's what I've heard."

Lila gave Maha a surprised look before grinning, "In the darkest corners. Okay I can do that, but we had better get the stone the the leaders quickly, because I can't read yet."
She laughed slightly then moved towards the corners of the cave looking for a stone that resembled the knowledge stone. She knew it might not be to easy with it being dirty.
She called to Maha, pretending like she was very far away from the other cub. "Have you found anything in you corner of the cave," she asked pretending to shout.

"You're right! I can't read yet, either." Maha laughed.
She followed Lila's lead and walked to the opposite corner of the cave. She brushed the dirt of several stones with her paws, trying to find something resembling what they were looking for.
Her ears perked and she chuckled when Lila 'shouted'. "No!" She pretended to shout as well. "Just a lot of dirt and bugs."

Lila sighed and continued to look around her corner of the den, moving slowly toward the center. Suddenly she spotted a bunch of vines the climbed the den walls bunched together. Her eyes followed the vines up just above her head to were something shiny seemed embedded in the wall.
"Hey Maha, I think I found something? If I stand on my back legs I bet I could reach it."
