The Iconoclast
The W-W-W-W-W-WACKY proportions aren't doing it for me, and neither is the content of your images. I must admit that you are not bad at what you do, but you could stand to be better. My personal advice would to be stop taking your anatomy tips from doujinshi and start taking them from either life drawings or at least pictures of actual people.
Not to be a jerk, or anything, but your work is really weak anatomically, and style won't cover up for those kinds of flaws.
THANK YOU!!! Dear god I've been looking for harsh yet helpful stuff like this forever. Yes I've noticed with sketches and doodles I have a more realistic type of feel for the face but the body always seems off and doesn't suit it. I'm a fan of the douhinshi style but it's just not working well with me. I have been working with more real references as of late (see picture below) It's just a quick blah but I used a photo reference. And what do you mean by the content, like the couples and the slash?
And what parts of the anatomy is weak I know with my latest work (the green one) it looks like he has no torso, just some arms and a shirt.
