 Unlike most, Xeneliya generally enjoyed sleeping and lurking , she disliked the idea of hunting, luckily she still relied on her father for that. But something strange occurred in her sleep, she heard prophecies and strange visions of the past and future. She often wondered about her sisters, did they see things visions?
She continued to ponder, laying under the shade of a large tree, she pawed a ant off her paw and looked off into the distance, blinking those amber eyes which set her apart from most her siblings.

[PICTURE, CAN'T YOU SEE IT?]
Awiti'asha was a far more active cub than her sister Xeneliya, adventurous to the point of endangering her own life, but today was much more low key. She was seeking amusement closer to home, and presently Xeneliya was the object of her attentions. The cub stalked close to the ground, unwitting of how poor of a job she was doing. Her steps were loud, her tail swishing behind her, and her giggles carrying over the grass were more than enough to give her away.
But she would learn in time, and with practice, much as she would learn to interpret and control the visions she too had.

Xeneliya narrowed her eyes, a whisper escaped her lips, but not even she was quite sure what she said. She stood and turned around to the sound of giggling and a tail swaying side-to-side which made the sound of only one thing, her sister.
She narrowed her eyes at the grass and waiting, closing her eyes and whispering some more words she couldn't understand. "Come out, sister, I know your there."

Awiti threw herself forward and atop her sister, a savage yell coming from her throat. As she landed, she gnawed viciously on Xeneliya's ear, between her slobber the words, "What, did you see it in your dreams?" She sniggered and pawed at her sister before rolling off to the side, her face twisted in a superior smirk, and throughly pleased at her 'success' in her hunt.
However, she didn't care to share her own dark dreams.

Xeneliya snarled, she was not the type to play like this, but she would play along this once. With sudden force, she was able to kick her sister off. "What I see in my dreams have nothing to do with you or any of us."
She took a few steps back. "I'm not blind, sister! I know you see these visions, tell me, do you conquer these dreams? Or cower in fear at the realization that it might be you who will suffer the fate that those visions showed you?"

Awiti'asha worked her jaw as she stared at her sister, less than phased by the kick, though her ribs would feel bruised for the next day or two. Her violet eyes narrowed and she glared, completely uncharacteristic and abnormal. She growled her response before laying her head on her paws, crossing them and curling her tail around her, as though she was settling down to go to sleep.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid. You're the one who should be afraid of what I see.
I've watched you die a dozen times. Father and Gouta too. Damupich, and the others. I've seen you fall down a hole and starve to death alone. Father gored to death by wild beasts. And what do you see? The weather? A hunt? You're the only one who should be afraid. Idiot. Don't talk about what you don't know about." Her ears lay flat against her head as she bared her teeth in displeasure towards Xeneliya. Clearly, she was the better seer between them both.

Xeneliya laughed. "Do you really believe seers are ment to foresee death? We are the masters of time, sister. It matters not how grim your visions are. At the end of the day, we are not meant to stop them. We can try and prevent them, that is our only duty. To inform the fools of there fate, so they may change there fate. However, We are not messengers either. We await for the chance to warn them, not seek them out , sister."
Xeneliya took a deep breathe. "Perhaps your visions are more symbolic to what is happening to you. In the minds of your family members, you are dead. You see what you happen to happen, not what will happen]

Awiti rolled over in the grass. "Oh please, you're the master of stupid." She muttered to herself. She pawed at the air, watching her red toes in the dappled light, ignoring everything Xeneliya said. She was not dead to her family. Every single one of them cared for her, otherwise she wouldn't be fed, coddled, or at the center of the mass of sleeping bodies every night. Xeneliya was just babbling nonsense at her, though she was curious about what her special visions were of.
But Awiti'asha pursed her mouth as she thought of one thing she'd never told anyone, probably much for the fact that Xeneliya was the only one that could identify her seer powers. She'd stared into the reflection of her face for hours upon the unmoving waters of drinking holes, and always been disappointed.

Xeneliya roared into laughter. "Master of stupid!?! Is that all you came up with sister...!" She went over and thwaped her sister hard over the head and then pounced onto her. "Sister, when was the last time they told you they loved you..? That you meant the world to them?" She jumped off her sister and circled her, smirking sinisterly. "All of us, our brothers and sisters were born into a ********, Awiti. I've learned to control my emotions, maybe it's time you do the same."

Without looking, she said "I thought it was funny..." As she was hit, a mewl came from her throat, a response of surprise, not of pain. She pulled back her lip and snarled, lunging and hitting her sister hard. She pinned her, cub claws hardly long enough to go deep, but still leave a scratch. She was tactical-minded enough to aim for the black of her pelt rather than the white. It wouldn't show as much.
"They tell me every day." She sneered. "Gouta, Daddy, even Mommy told me." Before she left. "I don't know why you even have to ask." Disgust was written all over Awiti's face. "Time to do the same? I don't know what you're talking about through your milk teeth. Don't talk to me like you're the all-knowing."

Xeneliya snarled at her as she pinned her down, she felt her sister's short claws sink in. She turned her body weight, knocking her sister off her. She immediately looking at the wounds her small claws left. In her mind, she cursed her sister for being such a pain.
"I never claimed to be, all knowing, Awiti, but look at the signs.. With each day that passes, our bodies mature and grow. Do you think they will love us once we're grown? They'll replace us with another litter, and that'll be the end of all of the care we get... We're gonna have to fend for ourselves eventually! So why not start now , sister?"
She licked her wounds with obvious annoyance, she wishes her visions could predict moments like these, so she could snake her way out of situations like this.

Awiti turned, not looking back at her sister. She didn't have enough patience to deal with her shenanigans. "They'll love me, that's for sure." She scoffed and shrugged her shoulders. "The way I see it is that we replaced Gouta's half-lion kids." Even if they did, she certainly liked them a lot more than Xene most of the time. She narrowed her lavender eyes and glared at her sister.
"Well of course we're going to have to take care of ourselves someday. Unless you're going to stay a big baby forever." PFFFFTTTT. Sometimes Xeneliya didn't think before she spoke. But for now they were cubs. It was Bwana's job, and Gouta's to feed them and protect them. For now. And they would learn from example. That's how it worked in the lion world. Little Awiti sneered as Xene licked her wounds. Daddy wouldn't see them on her black fur.

Xeneliya shook her coat, she'd deal with the scratches later , they were by no means life threatening. "Oh, we replaced them? Doesn't that mean we're next in lines to be replaced?" She turned her back to her sister and flicked her tail, and took off walking.
"You'll see sister, I'm never wrong~" She yelled from several feet forward, she knew she was lying, her dreams had led her astray many times, and she knew their family would never leave them, but Xeneliya had created this scenario in her head specifically to push her away from her family, she was afraid to love them, and even more afraid to lose them.

Awiti snorted. "Only if they figure out how to make babies together." Short of that, she couldn't imagine the lions taking on another fresh batch of mouths to feed. She glanced over her shoulder to catch sight of her sister walking in the opposite direction. No matter! She was tired of her tomfoolery anyway. And no doubt there'd be dozens more of like incidents down the road, until one of them got sick of the other and left. Heck, maybe they'd both take off at the same time in much the same fashion as they did now. Awiti could only wait for the day with baited breath.
And curse Xeneliya with her powers! They were by far sub-par to her own, and a twisted little grin swept over the cub's face, the first of many, too. She had none of the problems dealing with love that her sister did. Probably because she didn't care that much. She was all too well aware that they weren't all long for this world, and sure, it would be nice to have them around, but when the time came, Awiti wouldn't be crying. No, the girl would pick up and move on until her own time came. And with her, that was fine.
