..: Welcome Mat :..

Ever wonder how the residents of the Personality Complex get along? Or even how they came to live in a place so peculiar? How about what happens after important events, such as private roleplays or even holidays? That, and more, you will all find here!

This is what happens on an average (and even not-so-average!) day in the life of a BMR boy in this residence. This is how the boys in the Personality Complex get along with each other, and when a person such as MoogerMint is around running the place, they had better learn to behave!

Some notes that need to be made: Since this place is posted in solely by me, the written text will all be in black. Spoken words or thoughts will be written in the corresponding colors that pertain to the person, otherwise the posts may get too confusing to color-code, or even to follow. The main profile page of the boys used in these events are located HERE. The coloration are as follows (names linked to their certed images), alphabetically:

Speech Coloration
Aydan Connolly = Hot Pink
Calhoun Hayward = Saddle Brown
Daksta Ananaki = Fire Brick
Eiji Itaidoushin = Dim Grey
Heketoro Mac Pharlain = Sky Blue
Kasi Arun = Sienna
Kirinao Ariakite = Orange
Loto Pace = Light Blue
Manvir Wyman = Silver
MoogerMint Seishin = Sea Green
Renjiro Taiin = Medium Blue
Roku Kuang = Blue
Shamir Moore = Slate Blue

Please also note that the stories are not caught up as of yet. Still need to add in a lot of events that have happened, which should all be obvious enough. XD

..: Rules To Follow :..

You must follow these rules if you ever want to come back here! They are not that hard to obey, so just honor the boundaries and everything should be peachy-keen. ;3

1) Please do NOT post in this thread, or the profile page. These areas are for informational and, in the example of this thread, notification of what has happened to my boys in the past. They are also here for entertainment and a good read. X3
2) If you would like to roleplay with any that are free (indicated in the Profile Pages), then please PM me or catch me in the main thread. I'd be happy to oblige!
3) Please, please, PLEASE, do NOT steal the artwork displayed on this page, or any of the pages in this guild. Most of the artwork in here is © NykolMisu unless otherwise stated, and it would not be appreciated if stolen. Remember: Art theft is a crime!
4) Although not an actual rule... if I deem it necessary, more rules may pop up on here. Please don't make me feel it necessary to do so...

If you follow these guidelines, then you are more than welcome here! ^w^

..: Cutting The Ribbon :..
Mid-July, 2007

Sun beating down from the clear blue sky overhead, MoogerMint found herself wiping the sweat from her brow as she stood on the sidewalk, admiring the fine work that was done by the construction workers. It had taken nearly a year to complete, but with an apartment complex so large the kitsune woman found herself amazed at the speed at which this daunting task had been completed. All the furnishings in place, running water, and working electricity, it was only a matter of moving the last bit of furniture into the building and adding a bit of her own personal touch to make it really homey. The hard work was over..!

She glanced at the stretch of road that ran in front of the building, where a driveway had been placed to connect it to the parking lot at the back. She realized that with a building so near the rest of the bustling city, a parking lot probably wouldn't be necessary, especially with the tenants that would be staying here; however, she knew it was better to be safe rather than sorry. After all, when she assumed things, she tended to end up in the wrong. No need to repeat situations she had already learned from, even if they did differ.

Clapping her hands together decisively, a wide smile spread across her face as she took one last look at the front of the building. "Now, time to register this building! Those hybrids have had it rough enough as it is; hopefully I can make their stay here better," she said cheerfully to herself, optimistic.

She felt good, being able to help those in need like this, but she didn't realize all that she would have to deal with. Sure, she was more understanding than a lot of the populace, able to imagine a situation as if she were there, but would the hybrids be as understanding? Not everyone would be forgiving with mistakes, and that was just a lesson MoogerMint would have to learn on her own.

* * *

"Hello, I'm here to register my apartment building?" MoogerMint said to the woman behind the counter, handing her a small stack of official paperwork. She was frustrated that it had taken so long to fill out, wishing she had been able to finish the stack of papers before the woman who handed them to her had left for the day, but it was nothing that could be helped. She would just have to explain it all again.

Rifling through the documents, the woman behind the counter resituated the glasses on her nose before proceeding with the question MoogerMint had been expecting. "So, your building is going to be used mainly to house lycan hybrids?" she asked, a tint of disgust on her voice that couldn't be masked.

MoogerMint sighed and rolled her eyes; could these people be any more predictable? It was sickening... but at least it was better than the prejudiced riots she had heard about going on in other cities and towns; at least they were allowed here, with their rights still intact. Well, at least for the most part. "Yes, it is. Also available to anyone, human or otherwise, that doesn't mind that," she added pointedly, hoping the woman would get the oh-so-subtle hint to keep her racism out of this conversation.

The woman looked up to the kitsune from her seat, almost as if she were to scoff at the comment, before setting the pages even by tapping them on the surface of her table and stamping them with ink. "Well, everything seems to be in order. Everything's good to go," she said after a moment's pause, handing the documentation back to Mint. "Have a good day."

MoogerMint turned to leave, scowling at the woman as she headed for the door. Yeah, I heard your disappointment. Your silent accusations were deafening, revolting. People like that make me sick... hopefully I can help change the way people see these "lycan hybrids," if only just a little. Her contorted face quickly turned into one of sorrow, wishing such acts of hatred were devoid in this world.

* * *

It wasn't long before MoogerMint was able to get everything ship-shape to her liking, if a bit bare. First on her list was to see if there were any hybrids that may be interested in a long-term stay in her peculiarly-named housing complex, and the first place to check was at the aptly-named Bad Moon Rising redirection home. Surely there would be a hybrid there in need of a good place to stay, at the very least until they got back on their feet. Next would be to make flyers, to advertise to anyone else that there was a friendly-atmosphered place for them to stay, short- or long-termed.

"Hmm..." she said, tapping a spare pen on her bottom lip, "Better make a list, lest I forget."

The trip down to Bad Moon Rising wasn't a terribly bad experience -- in fact, there were many friendly people along the way -- but she soon realized that most people avoided the area she was headed to. Some people didn't mind, most having to go past the area to get to wherever they needed to go, and she found that the majority seemed to be rather tolerant of the homes here. MoogerMint smiled to herself; perhaps there was hope for this place after all.

Upon entering Bad Moon Rising, she found the place to be... well, rather lively, despite the rumors that it was usually pretty laid-back. Seems as though there had been an influx of hybrids coming to the area... what coincidentally perfect timing! There just had to be someone here that needed board from her!

She rubbed her arm absently, growling to herself for such thoughts. Sure, it was nice of her to do something like this, but that kind of thinking seemed to sound rather self-centered.

She sighed, glancing around. She had sent in forms to BMR offering board for some of the hybrids (apparently with quite a few others), and wondered if any of the hybrids had become interested in the offer. She asked around, and although she got mixed replies from many of the hybrids in the building, she was finally able to get hold of an official that gave her some information. Though not a definite reply, someone had indeed been interested in the offer. MoogerMint's face lit up, happy that she may be able to accommodate someone after all.

She was directed to the boy, but her nervousness was evident from the get-go. What kind of impression was she going to be giving if she was so anxious? She told herself to settle down, took steady breaths, and entered the temporary room for a boy named "Kasi."

..: First Impressions :..
Mid-July, 2007
(continuation of "Cutting The Ribbon")

Kasi sat on the makeshift bedspread, cross-legged with the top half of him supported on two palms around his ankles. His posture put strain on his back, but the warning glare he gave to MoogerMint over a risen shoulder told her it was all in the name of self-preservation, in case the worst were to happen. She smiled despite herself, And I thought I was nervous.

Kasi's nose scrunched up in agitation as he ran his eyes over MoogerMint quickly, then averted his sight to the wall. "What, did you come here just to gawk at me?" he grumbled. His hands moved closer together on his crossed legs for more of a sense of security, but his subconscious was in a scramble.

MoogerMint gave him a weak smile, although she knew full well he wouldn't notice. "Ah, sorry about that. I'm rather new around these parts, but I'm only here on friendly terms," she tried, hoping her approach would make him feel less uncomfortable. "So... owl hybrid, right?" She hoped she didn't sound as pathetic as she thought she did, but suspected it was obvious she was straining for a decent conversation, and one to go well at that.

Kasi's eyes lowered, almost unfocused under half-closed eyes. He flexed his small reddish wings before unconsciously folding them close to his back, mouth tweaking as if to imply he was not going to speak. He was tense, MoogerMint could tell from where she was standing, but was unsure about why he was so nervous.

Glancing around the room quickly, MoogerMint found a wooden chair on the opposite side of the room from the hybrid and took a seat, glancing at Kasi to make sure it was okay for her to assume she was allowed; he didn't even flinch, not wanting to glance up at her. It was almost painful to see him in such a state of fear, that she had to pipe up. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you. I'm only here to--"

"I'm not scared!" the owl hybrid burst out, rocking slightly on the bed as he yelled, and then immediately seeming to hold his breath. His eyes had briefly been on her during that short time frame, but immediately flicked to the floor as his feathered "horns" folded back and his head turned away.

MoogerMint couldn't help but to show a small smirk at the reply despite herself, silently stating, Is that so? Then why can't you even look at me? She cleared her throat to break the awkward silence, resituating herself more comfortably on the chair before going on. "That's not what I was trying to imply. There's no reason for you to close up so completely when I'm only really here to see if you'd like coming to stay at my un-segregated apartment complex. Besides, I never actually said you were scared of me."

That got his attention. His eyes grew wide as he realized his mistake momentarily before closing, a smirk appearing in his face in return. MoogerMint didn't expect that to happen. He loosened his grip on his ankles and stretched his legs out, supporting his upper body with his arms at either side. "I... I guess I'm just not used to things like this. Looks like I jumped the gun a bit, and I apologize for that."

MoogerMint was, to say the least, a bit confused. A single fox ear lowered on her head as she replied with a simple, "Well, that was definitely something I wasn't expecting to hear."

Kasi lifted his pale gold eyes to meet MoogerMint's, blinking once before bursting out laughing. The sudden sound made the kitsune jump, puzzled look still very bright on her features. As he got a hold of himself, the owl hybrid snickered a, "What, you thought I couldn't be polite at all? I mean, I can see where you could get that impression, but I'm not all 'hatred for the world' or anything like that!" Once his laughter ceased completely he stated, rather bluntly, "You know, you're okay. You're... different."

Mint's eyebrows were still cocked in a disbelieving manner at what had just happened, repliying after a snort, "Well, I could say the same about you. You're just full of surprises, huh?"

* * *

"So, this is what this plot of land was going to be used for? Huh... wasn't expecting it when I passed the empty area a few months ago."

Kasi had decided to come along with MoogerMint, if only just to scout the area out. However, he had managed to carry his things with him, giving the kitsune woman a clear indication he had no intention of going back to the Bad Moon Rising home anytime soon. Maybe he had just grown sick of it there, there was no real way of knowing; after all, even if she had asked him, he probably wouldn't give her a straight answer.

Kasi's nose wrinkled a bit as he studied the newly-established building. "Seems kinda bare, don't you think?"

MoogerMint smiled, holding in a laugh. "Well, of course! I wanted it possible for anyone wanting to come stay here to add their own special touch to it in some manner. That and, well... it's a new building. You know, as in brand new, never-been-lived-in new. You, my friend, are my first tenant." She gave a swift pat to Kasi's shoulder, knocking him forward slightly, playfully, despite the rather large difference in height between the two of them. She caught a gasp in her throat, coughing on a laugh as she quickly apologized, "Oh, I'm sorry! I tended to do that with the people I grew up with, I forgot I can't do that with everyone!" She snickered silently as the owl hybrid regained his balance, hiding her grin behind an open palm.

He blinked, slightly surprised at the act of such... friendly? behavior. He wasn't used to all the little quirks people would show out of the blue like this, but figured it was rather normal. After all, he was the abnormal one around here, even among other hybrids it would seem. He flashed a small smile, finding it rather unexpected that he was accepted so openly by this woman, rather than the fact that she hit him. The act was so alien to him, but nonetheless taken gratefully by the bird.

"So, you were pretty close to your family, weren't you?" he asked, turning around to face her from the lawn.

MoogerMint snapped back rigidly, realizing she may have hit upon a touchy subject. She knew that the hybrids that came to BMR stayed because they had virtually nowhere else to go, including back home. Was this the case for Kasi as well? She flinched slightly in place before putting on a sheepish smile. "Well... yeah, we were. We still are, as a matter of fact. Though I've heard it's a pretty rare thing to come across in most "normal" households," she explained, adding the last part in quickly. She chewed on her bottom lip nervously, hoping she didn't say anything wrong.

However, Kasi responded with a sweet smile and a comment, "Really? I'm glad to hear that. I wouldn't say it's as rare as you think, but since I'm no expert... well, I really wouldn't know. You should invite them over sometime; doesn't look like you've had much company at all as of yet." He nodded before picking up his bags and lugging them on over to the front door. "But first, I should really get everything set up. I have a bit of unpacking to do."

MoogerMint stared, unsure. What was that about? Was he really happy about that, or was that just a facade he was putting on? Watching as he opened the door, she caught a glimpse of his grinning face before her ears flattened back against her head. It certainly looked like he was being sincere... but it only managed to confuse the kitsune even further, even though he was being as clear as day.

What a strange guy.
