There were many fun places to go on Gaia, and Ebby was sure she hadn't visited all of them yet. Today, she was out to someplace that promised to be either a really silly time or a really fun time - or both. The local roller rink essentially was - as she'd been told - where one went to strap wheels to their feet and try not to fall while going around.
The purple girl couldn't be more excited. She'd actually brought all of her brothers today, even though she was sure they'd go off on their own after a bit. Bailey already had his skates on and was carefully helping Sinny put his on. And Kahlua.....well, he already had put his on and was now sitting on the floor after his first fall onto his rump, a disgruntled look on his face.
Ebony, on the other hand, was excited. She was tying her skates all on her own - just like Bailey had showed her! - and was starting to stand up. Though the child was wobbly at first, soon she was learning to lean and sway a bit to keep her balance. This was fun!

"Mom!"
Marlene winced at the shout as it echoed through her small car, turning to peer at her 'daughter' uncertainly. The green girl was pressed to the window tightly, visible blue eye bright with excitement and hair bouncing in the fluffy high ponytail it had been contained in. "Mom, mom!" She burst again, pointing at the bright, larger-than-life roller skate marking one of the many old roller rinks decorating the cities of Gaia. "What is that?"
The woman paused, sighing softly before smiling. "That's a roller rink, Lori. It's where people go to put on special shoes with wheels and roll around on a big section of hard wood to music," she explained slowly, reaching to tuck strands of blue-violet hair behind one ear. "..Do you want to go?" She glanced over, sighing and snapping her fingers to gather the girl's attention. Lori looked up sheepishly from where she'd been licking the window.
"Sure, but - Mom?"
"Hm?"
"I'm kind of hungry."
~*~
A few minutes later, three hotdogs and a bag of buttered popcorn later and a crash course in skating, Lori had been strapped into skates while her mother retreated to the arcade - squealing over something called 'Pacman' and 'Galaga'. The girl shook her head, reaching back to tighten her ponytail and carefully rolling out onto the rink - one hand pressed firm to the rail along one wall.
"We can do this, right?" She questioned the mouth on her stomach, who peacefully chewed at the bag that had held her popcorn. She took that as a positive, moving to roll around the rink in short, uncertain bursts before glancing up, pausing to squint into the gloom at the small girl across the rink. Was she.. purple? With wings?
Her heart jumped into her throat, her own wings flexing excitedly as she made her way over, legs shaking uncertainly in the skates before she rounded the corner, crouching to beam at the unusual little girl. Another one, like her?
"E-excuse me," she offered, crouching as she rounded the short wall out onto the carpet, smiling brightly - flashing her sharp fangs and folding her hands on the lap of the denim making up her skirt. "Oh, wow - you are one!" She laughed excitedly, clapping her hands together. "Hi! I'm Chloris! What's your name? Want to be friends?"
Her second mouth stopped chewing and grumbled slightly in disapproval - the way it did when it wasn't particularly fond of what it was receiving to munch on. Lori pointedly ignored it.

Ebony wheeled around a bit on her skates and smiled brightly. "Hiiiiii! I'm Ebby. Sure I do!" the girl assured with a nod.
"Wooooow, you're pretty and greeeeeeeen. Green's a nice color. Ooh! And you have neat ears and spiffy wings!" she squeaked. From her current vantage and how Lori was standing, she couldn't see Bellymouf yet. "How cooooooool."

The ears in question flicked slightly as the comments were addressed to them. "Oh, thank you," she giggled, smiling brightly. "You're a prettier color though - purple, and your wings are so fluffy~" She giggled, skates sliding out from under her to flop her onto her rump, her weight supported on her hands as she blinked.
"Oops," she mumbled, shaking her head before laughing softly before shaking her head, glancing down at her still-grumbling stomach.

Ebby looked concerned when the other girl slipped. "Ooh are you okay?" she asked.
When it seemed assured that the other girl was all right, Ebby smiled and leaned in to help her up. When she did, the child noticed something else. "Oh oh, you have a bellymouf? How neat." That's what it looked like anyway - and it was grumbly! biggrin

"Bellymouf?" She repeated, blinking and glancing down at the opening across her stomach. "Oh! Yeah, I do~" She mused, grinning and lightly poking at the revealed teeth - moving her hand out of the way as they snapped down where it had been moments before.
"It's kinda mean, though, see?" She mused, lowering her fingers towards it once more. "..You really think it's neat? I mean, some of the other people that come into Mom's shop seem to think it's a little weird, they always give me funny looks and whisper to Mom about me, but~ I don't think it's weird, so..!" She grinned brightly, patting her stomach just above the mouth. "Means I can eat twice as much!" <3

"Hehehe. It's cuuuuute. A bit grumpy, but cuuuuute." the child agreed with a nod. Ebony was one who really did have a hard time disliking something just cause it was strange looking. She might take a few to get used to certain things, but she embraced all sorts of differences. And thought this one was cute, apparently.
"Is this your first time skating? It's mine. I like it."

Lori's face nearly split with the force of her grin at the compliment, cheeks coloring faintly. "Thank you!" She laughed, moving to carefully lift herself into a standing position, arms windmilling as she rolled forwards slightly.
"Haha, yeah~ I like it so far, though! I'm just not used to rolling around everywhere!" She sighed, glancing down at her skates. "They have yummy food here, though."

"I haven't had any yet. Was too eager to come see if I could roll around." the child explained.
Ebby grinned and stood up straight, smiling broadly at Lori. "I think they're gonna be starting a new song soon. We should find a spot to go try and get better at this."
As the child spoke, she softly flapped her wings a few times, in excitement, and something...odd happened. She had been standing straight and still but soon as the air pushed by her wings hit her, the child was pushed forward a bit.
"Whoa." she said softly, using her arms to steady herself and turning back to Lori to try and see if she could flap a bit to push herself back. A few flaps and she was right in front of the other girl again, just about. "COOL!"

"..hey, that is cool!" The visible blue eye lit, and her own wings spread, the metal frame creaking softly before she flapped them, gasping and giggling as she was propelled forwards, tipping a bit as if she were going to take another tumble before righting herself.
"That's really fun," she mused, grinning brightly. "Think it counts as skating~?"

"Prolly not. But if we learn to skate right, we could maybe use them to make ourselves go faster - or slow down, like a prashoot." the child responded before closing up her wings and attempting to skate forward a little bit and turn around a few times by spreading her feet a little farther apart.

"Prashoot?" Lori mused, nodding thoughtfully before moving to carefully skate after her smaller friend, wobbling slightly before reaching out to grip the bar and steady herself, wings fluffed in panic.
"This is kinda hard," she giggled weakly before straightening herself, frowning slightly as she attempted to roll smoothly forwards again, briefly releasing the bar to attempt the motion without its support.

Ebony was really starting to get the hang of this. Just a soft flowing motion with her lower half and adjusting her upper half to keep balanced during it. "Yeah but we gotta practice, then it won't be as hard."

"Of course," she agreed, nodding and grinning victoriously as she managed to roll forwards smoothly on her own, carefully turning to stop. "..This isn't so bad," she decided, nodding and tucking her hands into her pockets. "It's fun, anyways~"

About that time the next song was coming on. It was something silly and poppy and people were starting to try and circle around the big main rink on their skates to it.
Ebony grinned and danced a little to the song, rolling somewhat unintentionally as she did. "hehe! Let's go dance!"
