Y'know, just to be different, I'm gonna be a marine...
Name : Ashitaka Faux (prefers to be called ashi-san, his rivals call him faux)
Birthplace: North Blue (location unkown)
Age :30
Height :5"10, but very burly
Profession : Shipmaster, martial artsman
information:
Lost his memory after an incident where he protected his town from a sea-king, under the rule of some pirates. He sometime receives flashbacks from this. He is driven to end the age of pirates and is normally friendly to everyone, and caring for his ship. However if anybody threatens his crewmates or the ship, he will fight his hardest. He fights using a form of martial arts and little is known about how he learnt them yet. Gets up at dawn every morning to practise, and is usually the kind of person to get involved in a situation early, but end up acting only last minute.

As i start the long and hard journey to become the Pirate king i think to myself."where could i find a crew? i need a navigator, a cook, and a right hand man to start with. I thought. Yes! My life long freind. a proffesional swordsman too!

(Ooh I got a good idea, my character could find out he was once a pirate razz but not yet)
Ashitaka stood still and silent, his arm rigid in a salute as the man who would be ordering him around for the next year walked down the line of new recruits, asking their previous professions. He had an awkward gait which Ashitaka had been told was from an accident where he had been shot in the leg. However his muscular form and devil's fruit powers (although nobody yet knew what his powers actually were) more than compensated for this.
Finally the Lieutenant reached Ashitaka.
"Name?"
"Ashitaka Faux, sir!"
"What can you do?"
"Well, sir, I can fight, and I seem to be good at fixing things, that's all I know, sir."
"Lost your memory, eh? Why'd you join the navy?"
"I lost my memory because of pirates, sir. I think they burnt down my town."
"Well lad, we're short on crewmembers right now, so I'll give you a position as shipmaster. You're to keep this ship in better condition than the admiral's! Do you understand me?"
"Yes sir! Understood sir!"
"Good, now get to work."
Ashitaka hurried off to the nearest stairs below deck. Although he hated taking orders and sucking up, he hoped it would soon pay off, that he would be promoted and maybe even find those pirates who had ruined his life so.

As i near my friend , i asked him to join my pirate crew. His reply was "definetly". So I had my first hand man. His name was Ryuga Zokenzuagio.
We went up and took a look at the wanted billboard. We imagined ourselves as good as Monkey D. Luffy or Roanora Zoro .Then Ryuga said to me , "Ima beat that dudes a** (pointing at Zoros picture)."As we set off looking for a ship and a navigator , we journey into the next City. Named Hoesheki .

Ashitaka knelt below deck, hammering some nails into where some blubbering fool had dropped some explosives. The job was almost done, and from what he had heard, not a moment too soon. The ship was approaching an island which some petty pirates had caught hold of, and he was to remain below deck and keep the cannons in working order. However in his weeks of service Ashitaka had grown attached to the ship, and if he heard but one splinter of the ship splitting, Ashitaka would disobey the orders and join the fight upstairs. All the other recruits barely had beards on their faces - he must have been the only person older than 20 except for the captain.
Suddenly a gaping hole appeared in the side of the ship which Ashitaka had just repaired, followed by 3 pirates in green and orange garb, looking very pleased with themselves. "Look, there's only one here, deal with him and then we can use the stupid sailors' cannons against them!"
With a snarl Ashitaka leapt through the air, his palms outstretched...

as we neared the next town , there was a small house with a light on inside.it really was getting too late so we knocked on the door and we were greeted by a strange old man. he had cattarayx in his left eye and he walked strangley with a cane. We hesitated and walked in...

Ashitaka woke to see the Commander's face directly infront of his own.
"Just what the hell do you think you were doing, son? Jumping to the other ship? You could have died!"
"W-what happened, sir?" he asked carefully
"You only goddamn took down the captain and half his crew! Where'd you learn how to fight like that?"
"I don't know sir" Was his best reply. Was Ashitaka suffering from more memory loss? Why was this happening?
That night, back stinging from the whipping he had been given (Ashitaka may have won the marines the battle, but he disobeyed orders to remain below deck) Ashitaka gingerly walked to the on-board library to see if he could find any answers to his problems. "I wonder why I lost my memory?" He asked himself. Taking a quick look through the bookshelves, he saw a book that caught his eye. He sat down and began to read...

This old man. He wasnt like every old man. (but who is?) He talked about being the worst pirate in the west blue. But that was pretty much all we heard. He didnt say much and when he did we couldent understand him. Once we ate dinner , we fell asleep waiting for the next day. But i stayed up. There was something that i really didnt like about that guy. Then suddenly at about 4:30 AM a mysterious man in a dark cloak enterd the house silently. I jumped out of bed to see what he was , who he was , and reason for intruding. I didnt like him either. I approached him silently and (i suppose strateld him) asked"WHo are you ? What is youre reason for being here?(as i draw out my blade just in case).He replied "a*****e pirates gotta screw everything up...He was Thief! As i drew my blade , i attacked him with my signature attack. Slice chip chop.(omontomontopeia)
And with that he was on the floor. dead. I checked his pockets and found that he was not in fact a thief but an assassin...

The next morning Ashi-san woke up as normal. He did his duties and sat on his bed to think. If the book he had found last night was right, it would explain his memory loss... but it also raised doubts in his mind. Ashitaka had always assumed that he had lost his memory defending a town in north blue. He reached under his bed to where he had hidden the book and opened it, flicking to the page he had bookmarked last night.
"The Pandora's box move is a kung-fu palm strike, only taught to high-ranking pirates from one of the few bhuddist islands left in south blue, is an extremely powerful move which can be made more powerful by offering power from your own body. Exactly which power differs from person to person - some lose blood, others memory, some even limbs - there is even a rumour that one man lost the abilities of his devil fruit powers using it.
Due to the high costs associated with this move, it is rarely used, except in desperate situations. The most recent known example of the move being used was in the red tiger pirate crew's attack on Takoto, north blue. The captain lost his life using the move and the pirates were all captured. However, the captain was never found..."
This last part worried Ashitaka especially. Did this mean that he used to be a pirate? Was he also captured among with the crew? Had he used the horrible power to escape back to south blue, only to have lost all memories of his life? The truth was far harsher than anything he could have imagined...
Ashitaka closed the book and breathed heavily. Standing up, he strode to the captain's quarters. He would make sure without a doubt that he was innocent.

Well. This assassin was no good to us at all , specially because he was dead. We left in a hurry and thanked the old man. On the way we met a Nice lady. She look about the same age as we , but a bit interesting at the same time. We approached her in a calm , friendly matter. "Could I help you??" "Yeah , we are looking for a place where we could buy a ship(The assassin was very wealthy and we of course being pirates and all took his cash.)"."Really? I just happen to build ships for a living. I sell them in the docks of the next town. Would you like me to take you there ? To my shop I mean." Me and Ryuga kindly said yes and we were on our way to Hoesheki. We got to the shop in about 20 minutes. She showed us the ships she had built . They were very big ships. She sighed as we went on board one of them . (At this time Ryuga was below deck) I had asked her softly if there was something she wanted to talk about. She replied , "You guys are so lucky. To go out and explore the world and have adventures and stuff... At that instant Ryuga came back upstairs and asked "what is this?"Hey held out a book. It looked something like a diary or journal.Then she ran extremely fast t him and knocked him into the air and kicked him out into the water about thirty feet away."Wow uhhh....." "Anyway you were about to say something?"To which I replied "Well , we are pirates.But not the kind that raid peoples villages , I just want to have fun and adventure. If you want we could go out into the sea , together. But you do-" She had hugged me and looked at me with these eyes and said ,"Yes! I would love to go out with you to sea! And you can have whatever ship you want for free!" This was good. We already see she Is a good fighter and she loves the ocean too. "May I ask you a quistion?" "Sure. Anything." "What is your name?" She replied Sakura-rin , but you can call me Rin" "Okay rin , We'll take it!"

As he walks down a street fearing of the day he looks to find a way to sleep. he finds a lovly little ship on the bay and walks up to it. "This looks like a good place to sleep" as he gets on the ship and heads his way into the brig. " nope no bed here" he says to himself and heads to a room of which he finds no pleasure and passes out on the floor.
When he awakes he finds himself in a cell on the ship and which it is no longer at port. The captain walks to his cell to ask him why he was there. Man replyed that he didnt know why he was there or why he spelled of alcohal or fish. Captain answered quickly, "you smelt like alchohal when we found you. and why you smell like fish is because were out at sea." Man sits in silence, ashamed of what he has done and offers his services to the captain. Captain asks a small question filled with answers of which he knew nothing of". The young man simply says he can cook and clean but has no answer for what else he can do besides sword fight and be seen for miles away. Captain laughs at what the man just said and asks for his name. Man said with a nervice grin, "shadow is may name and sunlights to harsh for me to stand, but i can withstand the beating sunlight and its heat. For my appologies kind captain, I'll stay as long as my service are required or until I die defending the ground you stand on. Sorry for asking but, What shall I call my captain. Captain says nothing and walks away after he unlocks the cell.
(sorry its long but i cant stop writting after i start.)

Ah! I quite like yours smile
Well , we now had 3 members of our crew! We spent the rest of the day getting ready for our journey ahead of us. Then after we got all the supplies we needed , Rin offered to head back up to her place to spend the night at. She was great at cooking too! She cooked us a great four course meal. At the dinner table , Rin told us about her friend who studies medicine. Seeing as which he would be highly useful , we decided to ask him to be on our pirate ship as our doctor. We decided in the morning , we would stop by.
