Chance for Adventure
Discovering a new identity
// Background //
Aimee always knew her family loved her, and that was simply enough. They weren't wealthy or important, but she always had a healthy sense of self-confidence and contentment. Even when things went wrong she would smile and encourage others to do the same.
She was a constant source of joy to her family and friends, all of whom loved the little eleven-year-old immensely. At school she was well-liked by teachers and peers alike because she was always willing to listen. Whether it was a lecture of a friend's trouble with in-crowds or an essay, she always paid attention and showed a keen interest in whatever was being said.
When she was twelve, during winter break, she went skating with her friends and fell through a thin spot in the ice. Though her best friend's father pulled her out of the water, the freezing cold did it's damage swiftly. She quickly came down with pneumonia and feel into a fitful sleep that lasted only eight hours before she passed on in the dark hours of the next morning.
// Living in a Dream... //
Now a Sim'arei, Aimee shows little change in any way. She has adjusted well to her new life, giving friendship and receiving it alike. She takes great pleasure in gathering wildflowers and taking them to older Dreamers who have not the strength to go running in the sunshine.
Once in a while she can be seen staring off into the distance, seemingly depressed. But this is only when she thinks of her lost family and hopes they are okay, that they do not continue to mourn her.
Even as always, she is a very good listener, willing to lend an ear to anyone's feelings and struggles. She can keep a secret well, and because of these traits she is a friend and confidante to many.
