"Race to 'ungly gym!" the little blonde girl squeeled, running towards the metal apparatus as fast as her little legs would carry her. Wow, so this was a park? SHe'd never been to one of these before! Look at everything there was to see, everything there was to do, and all the people there she could meet! She grinned, looking over her shoulder at her brother.
"Way-up!" the little boy called, racing after his sister. The two of them looked almost like carbon copies of one another. Why did she always have to go running around? Couldn't she just take things at a slower pace? He sighed, slowing to a walk since he already knew who was going to win. By the time he'd reached it, Ginger was already attempting to climb on it. He was content with just hanging from the bars he could reach.
A few yards away, Stasia sat on one of the empty benches, reading a book. Next to her sat a girl in a grey hoodie-dress, looking none too happy. Then again, you'd be unhappy too if you were in time out. Ecspecially if there were others, playing in the playground right infront of you. Bah...why did they get to play, anyways?

Joshua wasn't very excited about going to the park. "Mommy- peoples will see me!" Thali rolled her eyes, at this age children should want to play with others and go to the park, not try to find ways to convince their parents to let them stay home.
But Joshua wasn't like most children, Thali reminded herself, as they saw a pair of twins. They looked like twins, anyway. "They look friendly," She pointed them out to her son, "You could probably make friends with them."

Zemel looked over at the mother and son duo, watching them. The lady seemed to be pointing at them, so he smiled lightly, waving to them slowly. New people... He sat on the bar, kicking his legs back and forth.
"Who you wave to?" Ginger asked, looking down at her brother as she perched a couple feet above him on the bars. She looked forward, seeing another child. "HI!" she called out, her arm a blur as she waved to the new person and his mother.

Joshua waved back reluctantly, after recieving a look from his mother. Thali pushed him towards the two. "Go on, go play." She told him, smiling. "You'll have fun." Joshua doubted this, but he obediently went over to the bars. "Hi." He said, flushing. "M'name's Josh."
Thali watched her son introduce himself, and noticed a woman with an older girl sitting on the bench. "Hello," She said cheerfully, "Are you their mother?" She gestured to the twins.

Ginger grinned, jumping from her perch to the woodchips below and landing with a dull 'thud'. She had a few new scrapes, but barely noticed. "Hiya, Josh!" she greeted their new playmate, grinning. "I Ginger! You like playing on 'ungly gym, too?"
"Hullo, Josh." Zemel said, smiling lightly at the other boy. He visible winced as his sister jumped, looking over to her. Well, she didn't seem to hurt herself this time. He then looked back to Josh. "I'm Zem'l." he said softly, introducing himself.
Stasia looked up at the woman, offering a grin. "Hello. And yes, I am. I take it that the other little one is yours?" she said, her tone light. She glanced past the woman as her girl jumped. She almost jumped up to run to her, but stopped herself as the girl stood back up, seemingly unharmed. That kid was going to cause her a heart attack...
The other girl glanced up at the woman, yellow-green eyes inspecting her before focusing on the ground again. Feh. Another person.

Josh looked concerned. "Are you okay?" He asked. As she stood up, he shook his head. "I like the swings and slides." He smiled at Zemel. "Want to play?" He asked. "Know any games?" Josh didn't, he'd never been to the park before.
Thali smiled "Yeah he is," she said, "his name's Joshua. Oh, and I'm Thali. Your children are adorable, what are their names?"

Ginger grinned at Josh. "I okay. I ac-bat!" she said. She started to frown....he didn't like the jungle gym? Though, slides and swings did sound fun.
Zemel nodded, grinning. "I like to play." he said, smiling. "Tag is a game." he said, thoughtfully. "Do you like tag?" he asked, curious.
"We play ac-bats! Is fun!" Ginger said, grinning. She already knew Zemel wouldn't play that, but maybe Josh would.
"No. No ac-bat." Zemel said, giving his sister a look. He didn't want their new aquaintence getting her playing her jumping game. He then looked back to Josh. "Ac-bat not safe." he explained. "Can hurt."
"But ac-bat fun!" Ginger whined, pouting slightly at her brother. He could be such a party-pooper sometime. She then looked to Josh; looked like the decision was up to him.
"He's such a charming little boy." Stasia commented, grinning. "And thank you! The little girl who jumped off the jungle gym is Ginger, while the little boy is Zemel." She then motioned to the girl pouting next to her. "This is Azubahiel,'Zuba for short."
'Zuba made a small sound in her throat, but made no motion to talk to any of them. She was to busy sulking.

"Ac-bat?" Josh asked, frowning. He didn't know what an ac-bat was. His mom had thought him to play tag though. Tag sounded good. He smiled at Zemel, "Let's play!"
He really didn't like Ginger's suggestion, he didn't plan to get hurt. "Don't like high up." He pointed to the jungle gym. "On ground better."
Thali smiled, "He's shy," She told Stasia, "But I think when he meets more people, he'll grow out of it." She turned to 'Zuba. "Hi." She said. She didn't know what else to say, the child looked like she was in a bad mood.

Ginger frowned slightly, until she heard his explaination. "'S okay. Zem'l don't like high ups either." She said, shrugging. She then smiled at Josh. "Tag fun too, s'pose..."
Zemel smiled, glad they weren't playing "ac-bats". He wasn't too fond of bruises and scrapes. "Who be it first?" he asked, looking from Josh and his sister, tilting his head to the side.
Stasia smiled and nodded. "Most children do." she said, her tone light.
"Hmph...." was the girl's response, her eyes locked firmly on the ground.
"Don't mind her. She's just made because she's in time out." Stasia said, smiling slightly as if this behaviour was normal.

Joshua smiled, "I be it!" He said. "Run!" He gave the twins a few seconds to get away before he gave chase.
Thali nodded, "I think it's because he's an only child, too. We're planning on adopting a sibling soon though." She noticed 'Zuba's pouting, grinned and then paused. "Do your children have any unusal talents?" she asked.

The twins shot off in opposite directions. Ginger ran towards a piece of playground apparatus consisting of tubes, platforms, ladders, and firemen poles. Perfect for hiding while running.
Zemel ran towards the parents...well, towards the benches, anyway. He grinned, looking over his shoulder at Josh. "Can't catch!" he said, grinning. True, he knew the point of the game was not to get caught, but he'd rather get chased then his sister getting chased.
"That's nice." Stasia said, smiling. She then thought a moment. "Well, my eldest daughter, Nataya, has the potential for magic....right now, she can just summon these little dustbunny-looking things, though with practice, she may be able to do more. 'Zuba here can see in the dark. As for the twins, other than smelling constantly of ginger bread, they haven't shown any powers."

Josh quickly ran after Zemel. He couldn't see Ginger anymore, so the boy was the obvious choice. "Yes I can!" He shoot back, picking up his pace. He was determined to tag his new friend.
Thali smiled at the image of dustbunnies hopping around their house. Ben wouldn't like that. "Joshua has a talent with music. He hasn't shown any magical talents yet though. He might."

Zemel picked up his pace, running as fast as he could. He would not be caught! "Nuh-uh!" he called out over his shoulder, sticking his tongue out at the boy before grinning and looking forward once more.
Ginger had climbed up on one of the tubes and was perched ontop of one, simply watching them. "Broffer, run here!" She yelled, waving to him, not realizing she might catch Josh's attention.
"That's nice." Stasia said, nodding. "What instrument does he like?" she asked, sounding genuinly curious.

Josh heard Ginger's suggestion, but decided to chase after Zemel. He seemed to be easier to get at than his sister.
Thali frowned for a moment, and then smiled. "All of them." She said. "Music's the only thing that calms him down at home. He's really active. He was humming songs when we first found him."

Zemel made a mad dash for the tubes, making a big mistake of turning to the right and back-tracking He picked up the pace, his breathing becoming a little labored as he ran.
"That's impressive." Stasia said, her voice conveying her sincerity. "Someone's going to be quite the music maker when they get older, eh?"
