I am really liking the international gasmasks. ( *I have a fetish, Mmkay mad ) And I'm thinking about perchasing one. However, I'm not sure which of the two I want to perchase which I actually want to buy. I'm looking at the USSR, 30k, (Which I have a little rant to run on about this one) and the Germany, 25-30k, ( and since they're so cheap, I think I might buy the Italian one as well ).
You see, my little rant about the USSR gasmask is that, Umm. Hello, That's not the current flag, And in my opinion, it's a little, .. not sure of the term to use, though I'll settle with "...", to use that in the place of Russia's flag, when, well, it just seems wrong. It's like collecting the culture and saying that it is no more then the Soviet Union and it's uber communist days (Which, really, lolwhocaresbutme, but oh well)~ .. Even if the fact that it is the USSR Hammer and Sickle that makes me want the mask.
This mask also concerns me, because well:
LOL UH UH 'KAY SO UM YOU MADE THAT, SO WHERE'S MY NAZI GERMANY INTERNATIONAL MASK WITH THE SWASTIKA.
Gaia brought itself into that territory. I don't care that it is offence, but it's simple history. It can be a "racial issue", but so could the USSR mask. And it's not as if you can wear a swastika and automatically be a "rasist", (Please do not get into a discussion about how bad the Nazi's were, and the holocaust, that's not what's intended, and I will disagree and I won't post my PoV, because the government influence is everywhere, mmkay, sweethearts~ That's enough that needs to be said. )
So. That's the Greek Tragedy that is now making me metaphorically writhe in place.
