Apple...

Running her hand over the wetness of the piece of forbidden fruit, Morwena laced it in between her lips and bit down. Chewing her mouth slowly, her green eyes opened to look upon the stuffed animals surrounding her. They encircled her as she sat in the corner, their beaded eyes and plastic pupils reflecting the light above, all staring in her direction. Well, so it appeared. She swallowed the remnants of her apple down as she spoke, "Apple." towards the piece she had just taken a small bite out of. Morwena narrowed her eyes at the stuffed animals surrounding her as she placed her apple down. Did they want to start a fight? Well, they had one coming!

A small pebble sitting beside her suddenly jumped from its setting and ricocheted off the stomach of a nearby teddy bear. The pebble bounced off the plush belly of the stuffed bear and went gliding towards the floor before bouncing up due to the carpet surface. Morwena giggled lightly to herself as the pebble skipped off against towards a stuffed squirrel sitting more in the center of the mass of animals. The pebble bounced off the mammal's nose before falling and bouncing off the stuffed squirrel's foot than landing on the ground. However, the stuffed squirrel shook from the backlash of the pebble and toppled over and fell on top of a hippopotamus and a lizard seated underneath it. These two fell on top of others, before those fell on top of others.

This domino effect of a chain reaction continued until the last stuffed animal fell to its side. Morwena couldn't contain her giggles. Apparently, she had won this battle.

Eek had been taking a nap, nestled against one of those stuffed animals. When it fell, he fell, and sprawled with the rest, scrambling to all fours, and quickly shimmying up the side of the bookcase the animals had been on. He seemed angry, but said nothing, simply sat there with his tail twitching back and forth. It wasn't that he couldn't talk... it was that he didn't. He didn't want to be a burden or a nuisance - besides... he knew more than well enough the things you learn by simply listening. His stethoscope-ears twitched as he tried to make up his mind what to do. Still not completely used to this place, being interrupted when you were sleeping in unfamiliar territory was something of a shock. One he was still trying to get over.

His sensitive nose twitched this way as that as he listened, trying to figure out who or what had woken him up. From the giggle he heard and the breath sounds he heard, he judged it to be a small human. Not sure of the gender at the moment. Feeling around with his paws, he found a small object, discovering it to be a paperclip. Without ado, he pinpointed the small human's location with his hearing, and chucked the clip in the child's direction. Perhaps it would hit, perhaps not. It certainly wouldn't HURT either way - and it might get the kid's attention so that he could point out he'd been sleeping in that pile of stuffed animals they'd destroyed.

"Throwing paperclips now, eh, Eek?" The little mouse would have more than likely heard his sibling a mile away if he'd not been asleep a moment before. The technicolor jester child grinned in a mischievous manner up at the one who couldn't see it as much as feel it radiating off of him. Nights had always had that sense about him and seemed to radiate his mood to anyone close enough to be within range. Granted - Eek was still the best recipient and would know the little boy was plotting something.

Before his moderately mild brother could but hold up a paw in protest, Nights bounced off toward the small girl. He poked his head out over one of the larger felled animals and twitched the long tips of his hat-like ears. "`Lo!"
