Rachel was starting to get a really big kick out of finding ridiculous methods to teach his students. It was a somewhat sick enjoyment and derived from the fact that it was really hard to think up what to do with them, but still, it was kind of fun. That day he'd be having a Diligence-Lust kid. Well increasing focus would be good for the one half, and tentacle control would be good for the other.......why not mix them?

Hence, DDR with tentacles. He was hoping to have her either sit in the middle of the mat and use her tentacles to hit the arrows, concentrating on the timing and such with her diligence half.

Now, all he had to do was wait for her.

Adhara wrung her hands nervously as she walked through the building, once again alone. What had once been the pleasure of being allowed to do stuff by herself was now becoming mildly worrisome and uncomfortable, as though she thought that she would be kidnapped back by the people who worked here, though she doubted that it would happen. After having informed Noah of her previous meeting with Almas, he's decided that it would be fine for her to go back to the building with for her skills class, keeping in mind that there were some kind people in the building, though maybe not that many.

Amber eyes glanced toward the small scrap of paper in her hands, and then looked up at the number on the door in front of her. She swallowed nervously; yep, this was the right place alright. Stuffing the paper scrap back in her pocket, she rung her hands nervously for a moment, before pushing the door open and stepping through cautiously, one tentacle trying to stroke her face comfortingly, the other one trying to pull off her socks. She glanced toward the man who was already there and waved shyly, her wings still pressed against her back beneath the thick black coat she was wearing. "Um, I'm Adhara. Are you- you're my teacher, right?"

Rachel was just stretching his wings and upper arms, in the middle of a kind of big yawn when Adhi walked in. Immediately he stifled those and sat up straighter in his beanbag chair. "Hello. Yes I am. Just come in and please shut the door - the techs bother me - and we can probably begin in a few. This will be a physical exercise so if you need to take a moment and sit down, you may." When he said the last words, he indicated the beanbag chair across from him.

Adhara couldn't help the stifled giggle at her teacher's predicament when she entered the room, but she tried to cut it off as best as she could, as she didn't want to make a bad first impression by being rude. At the suggestion, she glanced at the beanbag chair, tilting her head before glancing back at the teacher. She tugged one of her tentacles out of her sock and shrugged a bit. Despite the fact that she had recently found herself with more Lust traits than she'd originally shown, she still had a strong control over her Diligence side, and didn't find resting to be her favourite of sports. For her, there was light movement and heavy movement, one being her exercise, and the other being her relaxation. Lucky for Noah, this teacher might actually wear her out, and she might sleep tonight.

"Actually, I think I'm alright. I didn't have to run here or anythin', and I don't mind physical exercises. I like them, actually," she commented with a nod, closing the door behind herself and laughing a bit. "The techs kinda bother me to, but I don't work for them, so I kinda know how you feel, but I kinda don't." As usual, the little spawn was rambling, but it didn't seem to cross her mind. She shed the black coat she'd warn in to reveal a black dress trimmed in red, with a duo of cherries on the bottom corner of it. "I'm ready for whatever kinda exercise it is."

"Well, you'll be playing a game called Dance Dance Revolution - you might have heard of it. However, you will be using your tentacles for part of it. If you like, you can start out using your feet and get the hang of concentrating on the arrows and hitting in time with them. Then you can use your tentacles instead of your feet to hit the arrows on time. It should be an exercise for both controlling them as well as focusing." there, spiel done. Kid didn't seem so bad and was willing to get her exercise done. That was nice. Better than the student he had to threaten to drop to get her to practice flying.

Adhara thought for a brief moment after her teacher's speech, and then a look of recall appeared on her face. "Right! I played that at the store once. It's kinda hard, though, one the fast ones," she noted, nodding a couple times. One of her tentacles almost seemed to be listening to the conversation, while the other one stretched out toward her teacher curiously, before it was pulled back toward her. "And with my tentacles it's gon'na be even harder, 'cause they don't really like listening to me," she said, laughing nervously at the thought of trying to play the game with said tentacles. She had some strange thought that they would revolt terribly if she tried to control them to too severe an extent.

After disposing, as well, of her burgundy hat, and leaving it with her coat, she stood ready in front of the man who was going to be her teacher, tentacles having given up on him and found Adhara, herself, to be a more interesting topic of exploration. "I liked your idea; I think I'm gon'na start on my feet first, so that my tentacles get more used to the idea of the game and stuff." She noted. It was probably strange to most for her to be treating them as separate entities, but that was kind of what they were. She wouldn't be too surprised to learn that they both had their own separate brains.

"That's fine with me. I figured it would be hard, that's why it's a training exercise. You won't fail if it doesn't work that well, but I'd like you to try your best. You can start it up and pick a level and a song. You do a level you think you can handle - I'd suggest a beginning one." the man said with a shrug. "This is more about getting good at focus and control than at the game so it's okay to do a level you think won't be a problem for you."

Adhara nodded at her teacher's instruction and stepped onto the dance pad curiously, taking a moment to remember exactly how the game worked and all. However, once she figured out how to choose songs and levels, she was flipping through them quickly. Her wings fluttered a bit, and Reena and Niita 'looked' between the screen and Adhi's feet curiously, as though trying to figure out what was going on here. Niita butted up against Adhara's chin, as though looking for an explanation from the child, but with a dedicated look in her amber eyes, she pushed the purple appendage away and pointed toward the screen, where the song had just started.

Beethoven, Beethoven, Beethoven

The beat was quick, but on Light, she was able to step about in time to the music, her tentacles twitching a bit in the same directions as her feet, figuring out what was going on, slowly but surely. After another song, on a slightly harder level that she almost failed, she decided that she was ready to try it with Reena and Niita. At least, it seemed like they were ready to try it, too. She chose a slower song, on an easier level, and sat down in the middle of the dance pad, pushing her glasses back up her nose and trying to help her tentacles figure out the patterns properly. So far, they were lacking in the ability to do this, as they failed the first song only a couple seconds in. She looked over to her teacher, as though trying to find help with how to make this work a bit better, while Reena rested in her lap and Niita prodded at one of the arrows, scrolling through the music lackadaisically.

"Why don't you try moving them with your hands a few times? Showing them the way and speed to hit and then have them try the song? Or let them pick out the song they like." the man offered. He honestly had very little clue what one did with mischievous appendages, particularly ones this lively - the boy, Adriel, his hadn't been that awake. But then, he'd been rather drugged.

"Those are both good ideas." Adhara smiled a bit at the idea and looked back at the television screen. Niita was still scrolling through all the songs, for what was probably the third time now. "Just pick one," she pushed the appendage, which turned it's attention to her before scrolling through the songs faster than Adhara could read them and selecting a song that she was barely able to read as 'Cartoon Heroes'. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem. However, Niita had set it to Standard, and the arrows were moving at a speed that was difficult for her to follow with her own eyes.

Her right tentacle, however, seemed adamant about performing this song as best it could, likely using her eyes to figure out the pattern of the arrows, hitting each one it could reach as quickly as it could. However, Reena, only controlling one arrow, was being rather lethargic, simply 'staring' at the screen in a way similar to someone who had no idea what they were doing. Soon, the level was failed, and Niita nudged Adhi's left tentacle rather roughly. Reena replied in a similar fashion, and they were soon wriggling around and wrestling with each other in irritation. At least, that's what it looked like. Sighing, Adhi stood up and tried to wrench the two of them apart.

"They do this sometimes... It's kinda hard to get them apart, though," she mumbled, sort of toward her teacher, before she just left the tentacles to their devices, wriggling around each other strangely. She glanced over at her teacher sheepishly. "Perhaps I could have that break now? For these two to... work out their differences."

"Certainly." Rachel said, pointing over towards the other beanbag chair.

"Personally, I'd think just leaving them to it cause it's hard to get them apart seems kinda like giving up, but it's up to you how you wanna deal with them. I know very little about tentacles." he commented, "Though it must be a huge inconvenience trying to do things with them breaking out in fights or doing things you don't want them to."
PostPosted: Sun Nov 30, 2008 4:45 pm

"Well, I normally try to get them apart, but they're stronger than I am, and they bicker a lot, anyway," Adhara noted, still prodding at the two of them a bit before taking a seat in the beanbag chair she was offered, ignoring the fact that she just sat on her coat and hat. Didn't matter much, anyway, it wasn't going to ruin them. "They're difficult to deal with, yeah. They're both really different, too, so they don't agree on a lot of stuff. Reena likes me more, and Niita likes other people more," she commented, pointing first to her left tentacle, then to her right, or, at least, trying to. It was hard when they were all wound up between each other.

"Which kinda gives me an idea..." she mumbled, trying to pet at Reena, who was momentarily distracted. In said moment, Niita raised up and reached out in Rachel's direction almost immediately, off-balancing the Diligence girl just a bit. Once within reach, Niita nuzzled against Rachel's hand sweetly, while Adhara simply sat cross-legged in front of the man's beanbag chair, looking a bit sheepish. At least she got them apart.

"Well, that worked a bit it seems." he said, curiously giving Niita a quick pat. "Did you decide on their names yourself or did someone else name them? Out of curiosity."
PostPosted: Sun Nov 30, 2008 6:39 pm

"Oh- a friend of mine named them. She named Chii and Fuu, too. Her name's Wynni; she's really nice," Adhara said with a smile. Niita immediately latched onto the small display of affection, snuggling against Rachel's hand happily, glad to be finished with the fight despite being a bit stronger than the other of Adhara's tentacles.

"I think that I can try again now. Hopefully they won't start fighting again..." she said, returning to the dance pad and once more sitting in it's center. Reena seemed a bit more enthusiastic this time around, and was trying to spin through the songs one way as Niita tried to make them go the other way. Sighing softly, she tugged both appendages into her lap and selected 'Roulette'. The game spun through the songs until Adhara slammed her foot on the 'X' button, and it slowly came to a stop on 'Ordinary World'.

Given neither tentacle chose the song, they pressed the buttons in some semblance of order, as best as they both could. Adhara smiled brightly. Finally, the three of them seemed to be getting the hang of this. Maybe they would actually start to listen to her a little bit now...

"I've taught Wynni before." he commented with a shrug. "And all right. Go ahead."

He smiled as she continued. Well now she seemed to be getting better at it. "Good job."
