what you need
Bear roast seasonings of choice cutting board
Ok so here it goes
Take your cutting board and soak it for 30 mins in warm water so that it won't burn
pre heat oven to 350F
place roast on cutting board and season to taste
place in oven for 5 hours until roast is tender
Remove from oven let cool for 5 minutes
Toss out roast and eat cardboard it will probably taste better
LOL

My friend actually uses a similar recipe to make excellent salomon, no kidding. He really roasts it on a board, which is burning during the process, and the fish is roasted and smoked at the same time.
But roasted bear with no marinade, in an oven, "seasonings of choice"? 4laugh
