Yeah, so the expansion pack to Halo 3, known as Halo 3 Recon is on its way. It revolves around the story of an ODST, and comes with a few new maps for multiplayer like "Assembly" and other cool s**t. Looks pretty cool.
BUT!!!
I just found out after reading the in-depth look in Game Informer that people who buy Halo 3: Recon will eventually be awarded their own Recon Armor. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLY UNFAIR!!! There are people that have worked hard for extended periods of time to get that Recon Armor, on Matchmaking or otherwise! It's just as coveted, and far more rare, than the Katana Body Piece, maybe even more. DigitalPh33r got it for putting amazing amounts of time and effort into making videos and machinima for the public FOR THREE YEARS!!! Others who have been awarded it only get it for doing amazing things online like thousand kill streaks or something, I don't know. You get the point.
This is basically saying that those who write letters to Bungie for Recon even though they've done nothing to deserve it will get it, because you know they ALL will buy Halo 3: Recon when they hear of this.
This is an utter disrespect to those who earned the armor, by changing the standards from achievement, to money. I guess Bungie has a little Microsoft left in them after all.

My mother bought BWii for my little brother and sister, who both hate it. I insisted to them that it is "supposed to be really good." But I have never played it... and no, no I never will. I think it's surprising how many people are still on the servers. You still have to wait very little for a match. I guess once you get it, you don't let go. I'm a two-star general. biggrin

I think its an insult not just to halo fans but to gamers who work their asses off at any game to aquire achievements and unlockables in honesty I think its a desperate attempt to keep the spot light on halo when in reality its not the big cheese any more the rest of the xbox community has moved on get over urself bungie do something new for a change

It is actually easy to get Recon Helmet. Get all the Mythic skulls and get all the Vidmaster Achievements along with Halo:ODST game. I read it somewhere on Xbox360 Dash or... maybe on the Halo3 menu or something...

Id say it is fair for those who didnt even have a clue about the recon armor. They finnaly get a chance to play as them after seeing everyone in it and asking "how?"
