 Gabriel had just settled down near the waterfall with his daughter, Aly, lately, had been having trouble sleeping and so he was hoping he could get her to sleep "its alright sweetheart, just close your eyes and I will try and get you to sleep" he said as he watched his daughter snuggle down beside him and started to softly sing her a lullaby, the only lullaby he knew and one of which was connected to his past, the only thing about his past that he knew.

 Regina was taking a refreshing walk when suddenly she heard a very familiar lullaby. A lullaby she knew well from growing up in heaven. She followed it to its source and peeked around a tree. She saw a strange pony laying by a water fall lulling to sleep a young pony. He had no wings or even a halo how could he possibly know that lullaby? Distracted by her contemplation she stepped on a twig making a loud cracking nose. " Oh shoot!" She whispered to herself under her breath and held perfectly still trying to stay hidden.

Gabriel stopped singing as he looked down at his daughter who was still wide awake and now curious, like him, as to what that sound was "hang on darling" he said as he nuzzled her and looked to the trees where he thought he heard the noise "exciuse me, whos there?" He asked, standing over his daughter to protect her, wondering if anyone would answer.

Regina knew she was caught. She stepped out from behind her hiding spot. " oh.. uh..hi!" she said blushing. " Im sorry I didnt mean to scare you.. I just heard your Lullaby and.." She trailed off. " Im sorry...Ill go now..." She had made a fool of herself. She an ANGEL of all things was creeping around and scaring others just to find out why this pony knew a lullaby she just happened to know. How was it any of her business?! Regina turned around and began to walk away

"Please, dont go" he called after her as he looked down at his daughter "do you mind if she hangs around while I try getting you off to sleep?" He asked her, it WAS her and his time together, it was up to her if she wanted the other to stay.
Aly looked at the other and smiled kindly at the other and then back at her father and shook her head "no daddy, its fine" she said as she curled back up into a ball against her father, cuddling onto a bear her daddy had gotten her when she was a baby.
"Alright" he said as he nuzzled his daughter and then looked back up at the other "you can stay, its OK" he said as he looked the other other, she truely was beautiful but he stopped himself, it was time to get his daughter to sleep, not try and hit on others "im Gabriel and this is my tired daughter Alyndra, may I ask your name?" He asked politey to the other.

Reginas face lit up. She walked gracefully over to them ... or tried to at least tripping on fallen branch and then again on a stone. She blushed. " Its nice to meet you both. My name is Regina." she bit her lip " May I please ask you a question ..er...Mr. Gabriel?"

Gabriel rushed over and helped make sure the other was alright "you alright?" He asked before nodding "and sure, you can ask me something" he said, wondering what she wanted to ask him, I mean, they just met, it wasnt like it was time to tell each other their life stories.

her face suddenly got very serious. " I hope this isnt to nosey but ...How do you know that Lullaby?" She asked feeling more then a little silly. She knew that was being WAY to nosey but she couldnt help her curiosity.

Gabriel shook his head "I cant really say, I just have known it ever since I was a foal, when I moved in with Silverwind, she was my carer and she knew it also, I dont know exactly WHAT her background is exactly, shes never said, just said that she was a 'saint' and that was it. Other then that it is just a song I have always known, I dont know much of my past, dont know who my parents are or anything, I can only assume that I must have learnt it from them before they left me or whatever they did" he said to her, laying down next to his daughter and nuzzling her.
Gabriel only know of Silverwind taking him in and caring for him but the song, it was sweet and loving, like a lullaby a mother would sing to a child to try and get him to sleep, however, he just couldnt remember.

" Oh...I see.." She was a bit disappointed. " Im sorry to hear that.." She thought for a moment trying to see if the name Silverwind rang any bells. It did faintly. " Its a very very old lullaby thats kinda common where Im from." she stopped. Telling him she was an Angel would blow her cover so she changed subject. " Is she having trouble sleeping?" she asked in a soft voice.
(( Im going with the Story Regina is a sort of angel in training. Shes been sent down to earth to help other ponies but she cant give her angelic status away. To the naked eye her Halo is invisible unless shes using her powers. :3 She looks like just a normal peg ...with a ribbon wrapped around her.. XD ))

((Ahh ok, thats cool. ^^ ))
"Its fine, I guess one day I will find out wheremy parents are, till then I have to make do" he said trying to be optimistic "and yes, she is but usually when I sing to her she goes to sleep but lately nothings working, im only singing her this song because all her usual ones arnt working. Silverwind told me I should never sing this song while im around others, she said it was a very old song, a song that, where she came from, was common but it was for 'her type' alone, noone other then them should know of it but I cant help it, my daughter needs to get to sleep, she hasnt slept for four days now, im starting to worry.
I promised Silverwind that I wouldnt ever sing it again, at least not around others, but this always made me go to sleep so im hoping it would help her" he said as he nuzzled his daughter once more, knowing this song wasnt allowed to be heard by others but what was he meant to do? Nothing was working, this was his last hope.

Regina paused for a moment. Singing that peticular song may blow her cover as well but how could she turn down a child in need? What kind of Angel turns down a child in need? " ..May I try?" She asked.

Gabriel looked to his daughter and nuzzled her "do you mind?" He asked, this WAS up to her after all, she was the one going to sleep.
Aly smiled at her father and shook her head "no, its fine" she said turning to the other and smiling at her "thank you" she said as she softly yawned and closed her eyes as she curled back up into a ball.

Regina suddenly realized how strange it was for a total stranger to do such a thing. However she wasnt going to back down now. She lay down by the child and wrapped a soft feathery wing over her smiling reassuringly at Gabriel. She smiled down at Alyndra and whispered. " Im going to sing the lullaby a little bit differently ok?" Regina focused a reserved portion of her healing and positive energy on Alyndra and began singing the lullaby in Angelic. Her halo began to glow just faintly and she hopped it was going unnoticed.
(( XD dont ask me what Angelic sounds like or where i came up with the idea.. because i have no clue ._.;; i just hope its ok with you..
also XD this kinda makes Regina look like a ***** or something.. XD rofl))

((It's fine, I mean, im just going by, for Gabriels 'heavenly chorus', like how you sometimes, in films, hear that 'haullaluja' (sp) chrous at times? Its sorta like that but more sweeter/angelic sounding?
Er...not that, that is easy to desrcibe... >> XD))
]Gabriel sat back and watched his daughter and the other one closely, he wasnt about to let anyone harm his daughter, it wasnt exactly kind to be THIS untrustworthy but still, this WAS one of his daughers, he wasnt about to let some stranger harm her wether she looked like an angel or not.
Aly closed her eyes and just let the music wash over her, enjoying the song greatly, about five minutes or so later she finally drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
