I'm curious everyone! How many of you people who joined for the olden things AND you also enjoy art?
I'm a very big fan of art. .____. My dA [main] is Jirakotsu and I'm into olden things and such. I collect music boxes, porceleins[spelling :C], and lots of old generations past objects.
I also collect coins, mostly from other countries. I'm currently looking for Russian coins, the roubles. AND, if you know of a good place to seek them [other than Russian territory xD] I'd be happy to know.
And yes, I realize this is in general discussion D: I just wanted to post where people could see it. [And plus I'm off topic below. xD] Anyway, also, if any one would be willing to...help me hatch my eggs? [The others died due to lack of clicks. Let's hope these make it.]

Unforgettable in every way, And forever more, thats how you'll stay
I haven't really done any serious collecting. Maybe stamps, and fifty state coins, but not really anything else.
I like art. I particularly like the Impressionist paintings, when the focus was on light. (Paintings.) That's why, darling, it's incredible That someone so unforgettable, Thinks that I am unforgettable too....

I don't do any collecting even though I wish I was rich enough to collect the art that I really love.
I'm fond of French Impressionism and Romantic works; particularly Delacriox and Manet.

I like Monet and Manet.. very nice paintings from both from both of them. I don't have an eye to paint light and shadows in different states like they have, but I can enjoy it. whee That's why, darling, it's incredible That someone so unforgettable, Thinks that I am unforgettable too....

I have a special adoration of the macabre sorts of art. Gustave Dore, Sidney Sime, and such. I also love the photographic arts, especially when its done of abandoned buildings and ruins, or old graveyards and Victorian cemeteries.
As for collections, I suppose mine's a little more like hoarding. biggrin I have a couple pieces of Victorian silver, including my favorite cufflinks, and my reading nook features two antiques: my Morris chair (for which I reserve the greatest love), and my small bookshelf unit with a little drawer where I keep my bottles of ink. I also have a few reproduction oil lamps, which I use from time to time as a nice way to unwind. They'll also come in handy the next time we have a power failure.
Eventually antiques will take over my apartment. That will be a happy day.

I have some numbered prints, but nothing old or particularlyt valuable. I'd buy more if I had the money though.

I collect odds and ends. I can't say I have any real serious collections started, just things here and there.
My current passion is the Titanic and Edwardian era.
