Ok, so don't think I'm trying to be rude here. Because I'm not. But I have some questions.
First, what on earth is it about? I don't think anyone will join a role play they don't know the plot of.
Second, are the characters pre-made or do we get to make up our own? Different people have different preferences, and some people will not join a role play where they don't get to make their own characters. There's also a third option, where you give us a basic outline of the character, and then we fill in the blanks on our own. Some people prefer this to the other two options, so getting people to join an RP is tricky.
Third question. Its a group RP, I'm assuming. What is the cap on people joining? How many RPers before you close off the character list? Some people only do one on one, some people won't do more than five, and other people are willing to have as many as want to join. Personally, I'm in the "small groups only" category, with no more than 7 people, myself included. The larger the group, the sooner it seems to die.
Also, what type of story? Fantasy, sci-fi, both? Realistic? Steam- or cyberpunk? There are a lot of genre's, and not everyone is into all of them. I mean, I'm open to a lot of things. Horror, thriller, action, adventure, D&D based... There's a lot of thought that goes into each and every RP I have created, and I've always expected the same from other people's RP's.
If you can answer those questions, and give more detail, I think you would get more people to respond. If you're still even interested.

I didn't want to seem rude, but I'm glad you agree, Shadow. There's a lot more to opening a role play than making a post like that one. I have a lot of helpful tips and suggestions, though, if anyone is interested. I've been writing for five years, and I'm also getting into being a DM, as well. Heh.

Sorry about that. sweatdrop When I mad this post I had to do it quickly then get off so again sorry. The roleplays that I like are fantasy. Demons, elves, magic, etc. They are in our time, but it's different. Like a different world maybe. I hate premade characters so eveyone can make their own and I ONLY want four other people. Oh, and please don't try joining when we are in the middle of a story it irritates me to no end. Here's my character:
Name: Satsujin Ikeda(don't ask about the name i always use stuff like this)
Gender: female
Age: 19
Sexuality: Straight
Height: 5' 8"
Weapon: razor fans
Magic: shadow
Eyes: crimson red
Hair: waist, straight, black
Race: wolf/vampire
Skin: med. tan
Family: Doesen't talk about them
Friends: ???
Likes: climbing trees, books, sweets
Dislikes: Bright lights, loudness, sour things
Fear: powers acting up & kills the ones she loves
Wear: Black choaker collar with black crystal. Black button up mans dress shirt and dark blue baggy jeans. Black combat boots.
Personality: distant, quiet, paranoid, caring, kind,
Other: No one knows much about her. She stays away from people as much as she can. She doesn't want her shadow power to get out of hand and hurt the ones closest to her. She comes off as emotionless because that's how she has spent most of her life. She never speaks about her family. When the subject is brought up she gets up & leaves. She cries herself to sleep most nights. Satsujin never allows anyone to touch the crystal around her neck.When people ask about it she just says that it is very unlucky & she wouldn't even wish it on her worst enemies.
We can talk about the plot and story line the next time I come on, but I have to get off here now. Sorry again eveyone. sweatdrop

If you have any ideas for the plot or storyline then just say so because most of my ideas are being used at the moment...(I'm writing with my friends) I guess the characters have to meet then... well that's all I got so far. Sorry. I usually write in a medevil type of world, but it's not exactly the same. Guess I'm not much help am I? But anyway just start thinking up ideas and we can choose with one is the best. 3nodding
