Ran may surprise some, not being what one would have perhaps come to expect from a Shaman. Intelligence has never favored her, and still at this age she continues her odd way of speaking (aka in third person). Even so, her will has grown stronger, and no longer does she cower away from confrontation or decision making.

Also, her eagerness to help shines through brighter than ever, and perhaps that is what seperates her into the rank. It's argueable it has little to do with her, and more to do with Them. Ran does not speak with the wind, nor the trees, waters or skies. Instead, with butterflies only in her line of vision. Their colors are various, but tend to stay within the range of yellow and red.

It seems she can speak with them and vice versa, but usually the words are not spoken aloud. The beings tend to vanish at random and if one was able to see them they may claim they're the ones in charge.

Such creatures are actually articles of one soul, that of Ran's 'mama's' long-passed brother, who was more like Ran than any of her family now. Be it because of her kind nature and strong urge to help and heal, or simply because he wishes to keep her from making the same mistakes he himself did, the wolf has returned to guide her in this form.

User ImageRan was the family oddball (as well as the runt) from the beginning. During her first weeks of life, she spent most of her time playing as puppies do, and prodding Sashta to tell her more stories of her own youth. At this early age, her sightings of the butterflies she now follows took place. However, they were dismissed as a cry for attention by her mother.

User ImageThough she aged, Ran hardly got any bigger, her siblings towering over her a noticeable amount. Her mental abilities didn't seem to improve, either, from an outsiders point of view. Her thoughts turned more from adventures and stories to wandering about the world, and, mostly, the butterflies that appeared more commonly.

User ImageAside from a few new abilities (healing powers, basically), not so much as changed. Ran is still a poor excuse for a wolf as far as size goes, her way of speaking has not waviered, and still the lightbulb hasn't completely come on, so to speak. The major difference is she rarely, if ever, sees her family, having left the pack.

User Image Sashta is Ran's mother, so of course it's not surprising this was the first sight the Shaman set eyes on. She was convinced when her pups were born Ran wouldn't survive, merely because of her size. Obviously, her estimation was incorrect, though she continued to almost shun Ran as time passed. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding led Ran to believe her mother no longer cares for her at all, and though Sashta's searched for her they've made no contact since.

User Image Reicher is Ran's father, and somehow she's gone her whole life having minimal contact with him. Truth be told, there's not a memory of her speaking to her father directly, rather through Sashta or one of her siblings. She knows enough about him, though, or so she'll tell you. Having rarely spoken of him, her actual opinion is a bit mysterious, as well as if she approves or dissaproves of him in general. If one had to choose, it would lean toward the latter...

User Image Ahnius, out of all three of Ran's siblings, was probably the roughest with her both physically and in terms of mental abuse. His displays of dislike toward her included simply insults to actually requesting Sashta "squish" her, and even all that wasn't enough to sway Ran's opinion. For some odd reason, he stands as her favorite sibling. On a random note, he's also Sashta's favorite.

User Image Guaf and Ran stand on the same grounds as she and Reicher. Actually, even more so. None of her memories aside from her puppy days and occasional glances around the pack include him. Perhaps the reason for this is because Ran was usually found in Sashta's company, and Guaf is rarely around his mother. Perhaps they'd 'bond' later, but it isn't likely with Ran having left the pack.

User Image Volgin is the largest of the litter, while Ran was the runt. Maybe it's the fear of being fallen on by her that for a while drove Ran out of her only sisters way. Recently, Volgin came to Ran's aid during an attack, but by time it was over the Shaman had gone. The chances of the meeting again seem more likely than with the others, for some reason.
