Are you commenting on sewing by hand versus sewing by machine? Or did you just complete a successful sewing project?

I much prefer sewing by hand then machine. It takes longer but the quality for me comes out better. And taking seams out is ALOT easier by hand than after you sewed a seam with a machine.

Machine stitching is much more even than hand sewing and faster. I hand stitch things I want to hide the stitches on.. But I do not have the patience to stitch a whole outfit by hand, and that is for sure. I mend by hand, I will hem by hand and I crostitch by hand... But I love my machine.

I think... That using a machine is a time saver when it comes to big, long stiches in the same direction, or for a longer project, like hemming a dress or skirt.
However, for smaller, possibly more complicated projects, hand sewing is good for precision, and there are different types of stiches

Ugh. My hand stitching is horrid. Which is interesting, as I've gotten compliments on my decorative needlework- cross-stitch, embroidery, and beaded embroidery. For actual clothing construction, give me a machine any time.

My hand sewing is god awful, but my mom put my sewing machine in the mail yesterday so I'll be able to make the bloomers I bought a pattern for...YAY!
