I mentioned it a few times so I thought you all may be interested. Cx
I'm going to be lazy and assume you all know the legends of making a thousand cranes. If not, please look it up.
So after finally a year of working on it, I finished making my thousand cranes. All one thousand of them are made from the wrappers of a Japanese candy called Hi-Chew. Most of them use the American form of the candy wrappers, which are essentially white wax paper. The rest are made out of the wrappers from the Hi-Chew straight out of Japan. Those are much shinier then the American wrappers. x3
Now is the long lengthy explaination about it and how it went this past year. You may want to skip to the pictures now. xD
I've attempted to make one thousand cranes a few times before, however I never got far, only finishing a hundred or so of them. Usually due to lack of supplies and unorganization. This time whenever I folded one hundred cranes I'd recount them and put them in a bag. I ended up with about three or four extras after having found extra cranes when recounting all one thousand of the cranes tonight...
Also this time I found these awesome candy wrappers that were already square and were easy to come by during fall and winter due to their sales at my school. It definetly made it easier to get the supplies needed this way.
My friends made sure to give me wrappers to use, and even some other people as well. Ginji and Suki gave me A LOT of the wrappers in particular. Through this it saved me from buying One Hundred Dollars worth of Hi-chew. Now this year I gathered very many supplies due to friends, too many almost, in fact at one point my wallet refused to close properly due to the sheer amount of unused wrappers and yet to be counted cranes stuffed in it.
I found time and in the past day I've finished making the last hundred or so cranes.
Now I'm done and happy. As well as contemplating whether I should start another thousand or not. Should I?
This way there'd be a lot less bad ones. Afterall most of my first cranes now look very undone and messy compaired to the others.
Now I have finished them all I have been thinking of either keeping them in their bags or stringing them together hopefully sometime within the next year.

Ooh congratulations! I didn't know you were folding a thousand too!
Well, I am, but I'm waaaaay behind. I don't even have hundred yet.
I'm folding mine out of plain white printing paper
and glossy, coloured publicity folders.
I'm too lazy to work on it, though.
(Can you even be lazy if folding paper cranes is being lazy too?)

The ones you are making out of the glossy folders sound interesting. Do they look better then the plain computer paper ones?

Ginji.- That is a very excellent idea.
I had a dream I had a superpower last night. That dream was awesome. It didn't really concentrate on the power moreso the story of the person who was captured and the one who was hiding them in the magical trailer underground. x3
It actually had to do with the school grounds as well...
The only time I used the power was whe I was fighting the person who kidnapped someone else. Then they cheated and went into a trailer with a slightly different title, it only had a comma in it to change the title's meaning, so that they would no longer be in the same place as the kidnappee. Makes it harder to win the fight.

Congratulations on being done!
I started five years ago, but I keep giving them away. xD
And my mother throws them away, since I have no place to keep them in.
And I actually keep trying to make them smaller and smaller...my smallest one was made from a square of paper 4 milimiters long. I, of course, lost it.
Aw, won't you tell us what wish you will make?
...well, as much as I'd like to know, it's fine. My grandmother says that wishes are to be kept secret or they won't come true (you can tell it if it does come true, though). *shrug*

I gave a few away as well. But usually I forced someone to get me a different wrapper type if they wanted me to fold them a crane.
All of mine were made out of paper that was about Three centimeters or so in length.
I don't remember what the smallest length I've used has been, Four millimeters is smaller then it was I'm sure.
That's exactly why I won't tell. :3
My mom always used to tell me that when I was younger. Now it has kind of stuck with me when it comes to wishing.
If it somehow comes true I'll be sure to tell you.
I'll need to find some good string to use then.
