I have read the entire Twilight series. I have not seen the movie, nor do I wish to. Personally, I believe that the basic idea is good and the characters are well developed, but the plot jumps and moves. There hardly seems to be a connective tie between everything except for the fact that Bella wants to be a vampire and Edward doesn't want her to be. For some reason, and it's probably because I'm a huge Jane Austen fan, these books remind me vaguely of Persuasion. The only reason I read the books is because my two older sisters forcibly sat me on a chair and held the book in front of my face. In the end, I decided it was too much hassle and read them myself. Stephanie Meyers did well, yes, but perhaps fantasy simply isn't my thing. I just couldn't get into it as much as my sisters who were bemoaning the fact that they were older than Edward Cullen.
