Okay I gots my petty Selman silver tenor trombone a couple months ago after a few marching rehearsals in the rain, the trigger started squeeking and getting stuck
I can usually get it to stop squeeking and kinda move but it doesnt go all the way back up ( Not spiffy for auditions )
Anyone know what I could do??
[ it has a metal bar, not a string.. ]

Oil. You need to give that thing a good dose of Valve Oil. How?
You'll need the bell part ONLY. Disconnect the slide and put it in its case. You can apply the oil by putting it into where the bell connects with the slide. Then, when you think the oil is in there, try moving the trigger around a bit to get it in.
NEVER use anything that isn't Valve Oil.
