It had taken the making of an appointment for Ebony to be able to get a hold of Almas who seemed to have almost disappeared. Even after making that it wasn't the Fallen who was waiting for her at the gate instead it was one of the Techs who was looking... strangely smug about something. Her arms were crossed over her chest, fingers tapping against the white sleeve of her coat.
She looked over at the little kid that was coming back to the labs with her Guardian and she lifted an eyebrow. So this was the little spawn that was making friends with the Fallen? She wondered if the little one knew that it was now a waste of her time, one couldn't gain status any longer by being friends with Almas... at least not a good status, "Welcome back." She said, giving a smile, "I am here to escort you to where Almas is waiting."

"Yay!" Ebby cheered happily. She was holding onto Dartie's hand pleasantly, squeezing a little since she was glad to have Mommy back. After all, Mommy'd just gotten out of jail and Ebony wanted to keep her out of it - Mommy was a good Mommy, even if she didn't seem like it to outsiders.
"Stop smiling like that." Dartsmoore barked at the tech. "You ain't got nothing to be smug about. Life is s**t and so are you."
"Mommy, don't be mean to her. She's just doing her job." Ebby pleaded, patting Dartie's hand. Sweet innocence, how could you be so blind? Even Ebby didn't really much like the techs around this place but she didn't see why her mother was getting so ticked.
"Don't care what she's doing. Don't need her smirking like she's just won something."

The woman glanced over at Dartsmoore before giving a little shrug, "Your probably right but seeing those who think themselves invincible fall gives the more lowly among us a certain amount of pleasure." She said, pushing away from where she was leaning and motioned to the pair of them, "Come on then, I have a lot of work to do."
The only reason she had taken on the task of fetching Almas's friends was pure curiosity, wanting to see who was still interested in the angel. They were heading in a direction that was much different then was normal for any visitors. They were heading instead to the very heart of the place, the labs where the babies were created and grown to the point that they could be rehomed. There were a lot of signs that spoke of only the Authorized Personnel were allowed, to keep clean, etc.
She paused in front of one of the doors and turned to look at the pair once more, "Hes in there, do have fun." She said, opening the door for them.
The woman looked inside at where the Fallen was sitting, leaning forward with his arms resting on his lap, eyes half closed as he watched the large vessel that had within it what would grow to be the most important thing in his life, what he had traded the world he had known for a lot time for. He was looking a bit drawn and didn't turn at the sound of the door opening figuring it was just another Tech coming to gloat.

Once the tech had gone away and Dartsmoore made sure the door was suitably closed - she was about as paranoid as Rachel was, if not a bit more - Ebby was released from the woman's hand. And when that happened, she carefully rushed over to greet her friend, a worried look on her face.
"Almas, what's wrong?" the child asked, carefully touching his arm.

The Fallen lifted his working eye from the vessel to look over at Ebony before giving a little smile seeing the girl he'd met the other day, the one with the good heart, "Hello again Ebony." He murmured, sitting up and brushed invisible dust off of his clothing as though he wanted to make himself more presentable, "Wrong? Ahhh... its complicated but nothing you should worry about. How are you doing today?" He asked of her wanting to change the subject.
His problems were not things that he wanted to bother a young child with, one that couldn't understand given how complicated it all was.

"I'm okay. I came to visit you. I had questions, and you seemed lonely." the girl explained with a nod. "I'd have requested sooner but Mommy was in jail."
It was amusing sometimes how horrible of a parent Dartie seemed to be to anyone who spoke to her children. And yet, they all loved her and were in great health and condition. She did care about them and took good care of them. Her distance was her nature and they all got used to it and grew to accept and love her as a mother - even Kahlua. And Lu had a hard time loving anyone.

Almas's eyes went wide, looking over at the woman in surprise, "Jail...?" He murmured, trying to wrap his mind around why the woman would end up in jail but decided that he really didn't want to know.
"I am glad for the visit." He said when he got his voice working again, "And I will answer any questions that you might have. After all its what I am here for." Among any other grunt work that got sent his way which seemed to be getting more and more frequent. He wouldn't let it get him down though, he had something to fight for after all.

Dartsmoore just shrugged in response to Almas's gaze. No reason for him to know, whether or not he was Ebony's friend. It wasn't important so why bother with it?
Ebby smiled up at Almas. "I wanted to ask if you needed an assistant." she said with a determined nod. "You said you had lotsa work and I wanted to help. Plus, I wanna meet the nicer demons and the other ang-Almas? What happened to the rest of your wings?" the child asked, suddenly noticing their disappearance and nervously fluttering hers a tad.

Almas gave a bit of a smile, "I could use all the help I can get though maybe your a little young to be my assistant, wouldn't you rather have fun? Play with your friends instead of working with me?" He asked, wondering why she would want to work at a place like this when she had the chance to do something else, anything else.
"You want to meet the other demons and angels?" He asked, eyes widening a little. She wanted to meet the others, "I don't see why not, its a surprise that you would want to since a lot of them have no relation to you."
Her final question caused him to lift a hand to scratch at his back where his two new scars were under his shirt, "That is... a long story." He said, for a moment his good eye turned to look over at the vessel before his attention returned to his friend, "Its alright though, losing them... helped me make amends to one of my brothers."

"But I get to play all the time anyway. Plus I like being helpful and I'll learn stuff here. It'll be kind of like school only more preti-proti-prati-Mommy, what's that word?" quickly she turned back to Dartie.
"Practical."
"Yeah, practical. Cause they teach dumb things in school too. If I get to go home to Mommy and my family and work here sometimes, I'd be all right." the child said with an affirmative nod.
"Of course I want to meet them. They sound interesting. And Mommy says it's good to know about them cause I can know about people better - and I like people so know more about them is good."
Ebony didn't know what to say in response to Almas's story so she just leaned forward and hugged him.

"That's true, you will hae to come here for a lot of other things too... you don't mind hanging out in this place? If not then I can't really say 'no' now can I?" He had a feeling that she would come by anyway even if he told her to say away.
He was a little surprised at the hug but not as much as the first time she'd given him affection. Instead he seemed to be enjoying it, as though it were helping to heal unseen wounds, "We will see about you getting to meet some of them, I am sure they will enjoy having company more often then just when kids come by for Parent Meetings."

"Not if there are nice people to spend it with, I don't mind. The techs still scare me a little but I could get used to them.....and Mommy would beat them up if they hurt me. She's tough." the child said with a happy nod.
"Are parent meetings the only time they see anyone? The sounds kind of lonely."

"Its safer that way, there are dangerous people that might do harm to the Angels." He said, eyes getting a little stormy at the thought of anyone doing any harm to any of the Angels. He gave a little sigh, him being over protective kept them lonely, "But I am sure that you would be one of the best to meet them." Ebony was trust worthy enough.
It helped that she said her mother would beat up any mean techs, that meant if Ebony found fault with anyone she could see they were dealt with. He gave a smile before he turned to look at the vessel once more, "Would you like to take a walk? I am sure I can leave for a little while."

"Weird people. I don't see why they'd want to hurt them. But Mommy says lotsa people do bad things that don't make sense which is why it's good to understand sins and virtues." the girl said with a nod before taking Almas's hand.
"Sure, I'd like to take a walk. But shouldn't Mommy stay to guard that thingy if it's special? I don't want the techs to hurt it, if it's important to you." she said pointing to the vessel.

Almas lifted a hand up to lay it against the glass, "It's my world." He murmured, "But I don't want to force your mother to stay behind here to guard it." It meant nothing to that woman, why would she want to stay behind with the vessel? He liked the idea of knowing it was safe though.
He looked over at the woman, "I wouldn't want to burden you with watching after it." He said, leaving it up to her if she stayed behind or came along walking with him and Ebony.
