It was the early hours of the morning and Siti found herself waking with the rising sun. It was a habit she developed while pregnant and so far had kept. Today was the first day she would venture a good ways from the den, while her cubs slept. She stretched and moved away from the mound of cub and headed out of the den.
Siti looked up into the sky where the horizon had begun to light up with the colors of dawn. Her paws padded quietly along the ground as she made her way to the beach. The rolling sound of the waves was refreshing. Siti stepped out onto the soft ground, her paws sinking into the sand and sand squeezing between her toes.
She went close enough to the water the the waves rolled in stopping a few feet in front of her and lay down settling into the sand. She relaxed and watched the sun as it rose, listening to the crashing of the waves. Relaxation, it was a while since she felt truly relaxed, but here in the new place, new pride it seemed easier.

The large male Jethro was once again roaming his new home. It wasn’t because he wasn’t familiar with it- indeed, after going through it so many times he felt quite convinced that he would be able to traverse the area with his eyes shut- he just wanted to see if he could find some of the new members to speak with. The male had seen lions passing through every now and again, but he wasn’t sure if they were just wandering souls or if they had actually come to rest in their welcoming home for a while. They were, if humans were to consider it, pretty much an apartment complex where their companions could come and go as they pleased.
He liked that about his new pride.
Having heard rumblings of a recent birth in the lands, Jethro was eager to meet with the mother and offer his congratulations. It was just a matter of finding her. Luckily, that wasn’t too hard for him. The male knew there wasn’t a whole lot of females in the place to begin with- finding one that had just given birth to a litter of cubs shouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world.
Moving slowly, he finally noticed that a young lady was lying near the shore. Content to assume that she was the one he was searching for, the master hunter progressed towards, smile on his face as gentle eyes observed her frame.
“Hello there,” he offered lightly, “are you Siti?”

Siti looked up at the male that had approached her. If she had been in the rogue lands she would have been a lot more cautious, but she gave him a sweet smile and nodded.
"I am she, just out watching the sun rise. The ocean is so relaxing and this place is so beautiful."
She turned her head back to the horizon where the sun was slowly rising, "You may join me if you like ..."
Siti realized she did not have the males name although he knew hers. She figured most probably knew her name by now. It was one of the leaders of the pride who settle her it.
"I hope you do not mind me asking, but what is you name?"

Jethro was pleased. At least he was able to guess the names of his new pride members without causing too much trouble. That was one step towards meeting everyone. How great it was to have the place growing so much already- he felt it was destined to grow large and wonderful. Hopefully the peace of the land would last as its size increased.
Moving forward, he placed himself beside her, smiling fondly. Already he seemed content to show her the kindness of a good friend, even though they had only just met. This pride was meant to be a safe, welcoming place. What kind of hunter leader would he be if he was mean to his members?
“Thank you,” he replied, looking over at the sunrise. It certainly added more beauty to the already astonishing home they had found.
“Oh! How rude of me,” he said, standing once more and offering her a bow, “my name it Jethro. I heard you were new and I thought I would come and see how you were settling in. Did I hear correctly that you’ve recently had cubs?”

Siti was content and did not move when the male sat beside her, her cautiousness subsiding more and more as she stayed within the pride. She was glad to make friends that she would be able to see often, it made her happy to see so many friendly faces.
"It is nice to meet you," she said when Jethro introduced himself and she smiled at the question about her new cubs. She couldnt help but think that news traveled fast in the pride.
"Yes, I did. Five beautiful little one, four girl and one boy. Now I have seven in total, along with Korrin and Udo. You may have seen them wondering about since we arrived here."
"May I ask, what is you position in the pride. I wish to stay and I think it would be best to get to know the member. So far I only know of Sen who is one of the leaders. She was the one to bring me in and offer me a den."

“I’m afraid I haven’t been very good at meeting all our new pride members,” admitted Jethro with a sheepish grin, “but I’m getting to it now. Perhaps I’ll meet your Udo and Korrin soon.” He made note to remember those names. No telling when he might run into them. The pride wasn’t exactly small in territory, but it was still easy to meet up with others. It was open and lacked a whole lot of places to hide in, really.
And he was starting to memorize it.
“Congratulations about your cubs. It’s always such a treat when new family members enter the world. Perhaps they’ll be able to play with my cubs, as I only recently had a little myself. Three, but still cause of celebration.” He smiled thinking about his babies. They were so beautiful.
They got that from their mother.
“Oh? I’m the Ipi, that is, the hunting leader. I am one of the leaders of this pride as well,” however awkward that was for him to admit, “it’s nice to know that Sen was the one who brought you here. You are most welcome.”

"It is quite alright. Meeting everyone is probably hard when you have to keep up with the current members as well. You make your way around somehow, right?"
She smiled happily, at the mention of her two oldest cub, "Yes they seem to like the pride and have began to wander. I am happy they seem to like it, this pride is wonderful and friendly and it's very beautiful. I am sure you will meet them soon."
Siti was enjoying her second encounter with a pride member, he seemed polite, kind, and welcoming. "Thank you. They are my first litter, even if they are not my first cubs. It is an amazing experience, they are so young and so small."
Siti's ears perked at the mention of Jethro's litter. It was nice to know there was another litter in the pride. Her cubs would have other cubs to play with, it was something she only had for a short period of time, before her mother died. "Congratulation to you as well. Any amount of cubs is a cause for celebration and I do so hope my cubs will be able to play with your's."
Siti was surprised to being meeting the hunting leader, a leader of the pride. It made her think of how she was good at hunting, if she helped hunt for the pride, then she could repay their kindness.
"Thank you. You must be a very good hunter to be given title of hunting leader."

“Yes,” the male chuckled, “I go on rounds quite often. Hopefully the influx of members will calm a little so I might have a chance to properly get introduced to all of the members inside the pride.” Somehow, though, he didn’t really hope for that at all. It was difficult to meet everyone, but hardly a bad thing.
He loved that the pride welcomed so many members in such a short span of time. His only hope was that it continued to be an inviting place to those that were in need of a rest from the rogue life.
Their lands were always open to nomads.
Grinning, he nodded along to what she had to say about cubs. Indeed, it was fabulous to have babies of your own to care for, even if the experience of raising young was not a new one. He had been caring for Omoa, but still found parenthood of his own little exciting. “I’m sure they’ll be fast friends,” he replied lightly, “it would be a delight to have them all play together sometime.”
Growing a little embarrassed, he chuckled at the comment, nodding only because it was true. There was no intent to brag inside of him. He wasn’t the type for it.
“Well, I suppose so,” he replied, “I do managed to get the job done fairly well, though it’s nice to have others helping out now. And I’m sure my little daughter Kanzi will grow up to be much better than me- she already shows a great deal of skill.” There was deep pride in his tone, the thought of his daughter taking up his position warming his heart.
"So, does the father of your cubs live in the pride as well?" He just wanted to make sure. She seemed to be on her own with them, but if there was another male roaming he wanted to meet him.

Siti was sure the cubs would come across each other, "Two of my little cubs are rather rambunctious. They explore everything. Lila and Tendaji, they got my need for adventure. I know our cubs will definitely meet and have fun playing together."
Siti smiled at Jethro's mention of his daughter, she was glas he was obviously very proud of the little girl. "I'm sure you will see to it that she is much better than you. Hopefully my cubs will enjoy climbing and hunting as I do, but if not thats perfectly fine too."
Siti shook her head at Jethro's question, "Thier father and I parted ways before I even knew they were to be born. He does not even know of the pride." Siti hoped he would know of the cubs one day perhaps when they were older, but for now she was content to live out the days within the pride's walls.

“Yeah? That’s nice. Though it must get difficult to keep an eye on them all the time. I know when I was young I had my mother running in circles trying to make sure I stayed out of danger.” He chuckled lightly. Yeah, he was a wild child.
But he had a lot of fun in those days. Before everything went to hell, of course. He didn’t mind what his kids grew up to be, so long as they weren’t horrible animals bent on trying to take over the world.
“I see,” mused the large lion thoughtfully, “well, as long as nothing unpleasant happened I’m glad we have you here. If their father ever does wander this way, he’ll be just as welcomed in the pride as you are.” He smiled, always happy to bring in new members. He had no idea that he had not only met the male in question before, but was actually friends with him. Maybe when he met the children things would be made more clear.
For now, he remained oblivious.
He stretched a bit, smiling contently. “I hope you don’t think I’m being nosey with all the questions I’ve been asking you. I just… like to get to know the new members, that’s all. Feel free to ask me anything if it comes to you.”

Siti gave a small chuckle, "Yes it can be hard at time, but I've found my son's keep a good eye out for their siblings. They seem excited to have them. They are still to young to do much though and Korrin and Udo are still young too, so I've still got my paws full."
Siti smiled, "Maybe one day he will wander this way and I will see him again or maybe I will wander seek him. Either way I will be sure to let my friend know he is welcome here."
"I do not feel as though you have been nosey in the least. It is understandable to want to get to new members, after all they will be around you and all the cubs of the pride. But I really do not have any questions to ask, if you more questions ask away."

“No,” Jethro chuckled, “I’ll let you get back to your young. I don’t have any more questions and I don’t think I should take up any more of your time. But, please, if you ever feel you need some time to yourself, just drop your young off at my den- I’d be happy to cub sit. Plus I think they’d get along well with my kin.” He nodded as he turned, pleased to know that, so far, the members of his pride were warm and welcoming.
Just the kind of pride he wanted to be a part of.
He’d have to meet this Korrin and Udo.
“Have a good day,” he told her as he moved to leave, a smile on his face as he started back towards his own den. He wasn’t going home yet, though. Still more animals to meet.
((We can end after your post. ^^))

Siti smiled and laughed a little at his offer, " I give you the same extention. I would not mind at all watching your little one's if you and your mate ever need a break. I'm sure our cubs will be dear friends."
Siti was happy to have found a place in such a wonderful pride with such warm and welcoming member and as she watched Jethro leave she was certain this would be her forever home. Her furture was still a mysterious, but this place, her new home had made things a little more clear.
"And a good day to you," she called after him, before getting up and heading towards her den. Afterall she had hungry cubs too feed.
