Personally, Pelican does it for me. And Isis on several occasions.

Storm site-not-allowed, subtle viking metal with one of the members from Darkthrone. The vocals are sort of light chanting with a deep grunt or black metal scream here or there.

Sounds like something I'd enjoy. I really like the more subtle metal, more than the unneccessarily loud "crank it to 11" type stuff. 3nodding

A little off topic, but do any of you read to music?

When I read I put on Tyr or something of the sort, lay on my bed and enjoy. Also, I study to mostly folk and viking. Falkenbach and Yggdrasil are good for studying.

Back when I had to study it was usually to: Type O Negative Bloodbath Unexpect Therion Etc
Metal wasn't usually what I listened to when studying, I found stuff like Martin Donath to be better though.

I don't usually listen to anything specific, just whatever I'd be listening to anyway.
