Katsumi points out something truly curious. The Animated are REPELLED by the entrance to the Null Chamber.
Normally lanterns don't come to life, so i would believe the original objects (before becoming animated) wouldn't be affected by whatever the Null Chamber is.
So ... what's being repelled is what animated the Animated.
Anyone else notice that your G'hi goes down rather quickly in the null chamber?
THEORY - G'hi vs. Null.
Those who know the full plot - shut it.
