Well, not really, OLD OLD, but Officially, I'm older today. Yeah, that's right, 'tis my birthday. How rockin'! I'm now 17. One more year and I'll be an adult. Ewww responsibility.
So the only really big deal about me being old now is that the guy I'm sort of interested in dating is 15. And he won't be turning 16 until JULY. So that kind of makes me feel like I'm robbing the cradle. He's so young! (Sort of interested meaning that we have great times at dances and other places with romantic atmospheres, but not in places where we actually have to talk. So the issue isn't me dating him, it's just that he's so young! and I was dancing with him at the ball and everything.)
But yeah. So we really haven't done much for my birthday, but since I got involved in ROTC we really haven't. The Marine Birthday Ball, our big ROTC dance is on the weekend I'd have my birthday celebration. But at my school we announce the birthdays with the daily bulletin. So people have been wishing me a happy birthday all day long.
One girl even started singing at the end of 6th period, and then the rest of the class joined in. I did my customary birthday push-ups in ROTC because I'm a good sport. You see, we don't HAVE to do birthday push-ups, because they can't really punish us for having a birthday, but generally you do it just to show you're not a stick in the mud. Essentially, you do push-ups as they sing. YAY for strange traditions.
So yes, this is an attention-whorish thread. Sorry.

Also you're only a year and a half older then him. That's really no big deal if you think about it. But then again it is a much bigger difference when you are a teenager.
I don't know if that helped you feel better or not about dating him.

A friend is 14 (15 in April March) and his boyfriend is 18.
Another friend is 15 and her boyfriend is like, 21.
My mom is a bit over two years older than my dad.
So you're not too old. ^_^
