NOTE: This class/discussion is no longer taught/led by a teacher. However, please feel free to read through it and ask any questions that you may have or express any thoughts/opinions you have. Just please don't ask, "Can I join the class?" Because the answer is 'no'. Thank you.

Hello I'm Geimhreadh Runeteller and this is going to start out as a basic guide to the 3 main types of Runes used in all things Divination :p

I will first introduce you to the 1st set of 3 of Runes we will be working with and then break them down from there biggrin

(Due to the fact that it would be a long and non worth while process to write all the corresponences out by hand i will be linking to images and websites alot to give you a better understanding biggrin )

(And I appologize in advance for the lack of some pronounciation marks over some of the letters the computer I am currently using doesn't have alternate language lettering available)

First we will look at the most common set: Futhark or Elder Futhark http://www.candledark.net/silver/futhark/runes.gif(

I would like to say that the link is no longer working and I was wondering how you pronounced these? You gave their names but you never mentioned that.

For anyone that is interested, this is an excellent site for more info on the Runes... Runes, Alphabet of Mystery Also I highly recommend Diana Paxson's Taking Up The Runes, excellent book for anyone seriously considering using the Runes.
