Rules for the Age of Chaos. They shall be updated occasionally, so please check back.
Out of Character Rules:
1. No excessive profanity, unless the situation warrants it. (I'll be the judge of that)
2. No flaming or fighting on public boards. If you have a dispute with a member, take it to PMs or off the site.
3. FOLLOW all guidelines and read ALL regulations before you submit an application or consider joining this board. If you can't listen to the simple rules, then don't apply.
4. Please post the appropriate material in the designated forums. IE, do not post advertisements in the general chat area.
5. Respect the staff. Plain and simple.
In Character Rules:
1. No godmodding other writers' characters unless given permission.
2. No harming other writers' characters unless given permission.
3. As you know, I'm all for mature themes on this board, but do not abuse this allowance. If threads get out of hand, I will lock the thread in question and warn the participants privately. If it happens more than three times, said members will be removed from the board.
4. Do not post in a thread unless the name of your character is present in the title, or indicated in the body of the text. A majority of the plots on this board will be premeditated, so do not assume that your character can simply jump into a closed thread.
5. Frequent attendance is required on this board, meaning the staff expects you to at least check the board once a day. We do not expect threads to move at an unrealistic speed, but we wish for things to keep active. 250 words is not an extravagant minimum for you as an intermediate to advanced writer to meet, certainly not every two days. If you become inactive without reason, you will be PMed first, and then removed from the plot if you do not respond within two days.
Aforementioned, we completely understand if situations arise that make it impossible to meet our expectations. Simply PM myself or the other administrators and moderators stating the reason for your absence.
6. This board is set in a medieval time period, therefore you must follow the rules applied to such an era. Do not inject modern technological advances, IE laserswords, motorcycles, and rifles.
7. On that note, keep it realistic. If you have some ground shaking plot you want to do, touch base with one of the staff so they can approve it. We're generally lenient when it comes to big explosive ideas.
8. As a general rule, your character cannot be in more than one active thread at a time. If circumstances arise where it is absolutely necessary to run dual threads, PM one of the staff so we can consider it.
9. Have fun, and don't be afraid to contact any of us. Most major positions are open at the moment, such as royalty, male wilders, and all manners of other characters.
