Many of Duniya knew of the Divine Order. They all had varying thoughts of the religious body, but most held some measure of respect for them whether it was for their devotion to the Pantheon or for their willingness to cope with the unreliable Duniya gods. The Divine Order did not typically involve itself in the everyday affairs of its residents, but something about the uniqueness of the existence of the Tabula Rasa had intrigued the gods.
The Order contained the gods' messengers, and so, the Divine Order learned that they must interfere with these 'Tabula Rasa'—blank slates born out of Rasa. The particular reasons for the gods' interference was unknown, but no matter if Locke particularly agreed to it or not, the new manifests were to be brought to the Divine Order—specifically, Shakuni—immediately upon manifestation.
Shakuni herself was a deeply devout priestess of the Order. It was said that the gods had touched her themselves, and therefore she held a deep connection and affinity to the affairs of the gods. Shakuni was a leader in the Order and perhaps the most important messenger of them all. To be called to bring the Tabula Rasa to the gods meant that the Tabula Rasa held some deep significance. The certain significance was, as of currently, unknown, but one did not question the gods' wishes.
Another manifestation had arrived—Shannon. It was time.
As routine before she had to present someone with the gods, Shakuni entered a meditative state where she could speak with her gods. No matter what, she kept alert for the sounds around her, to make sure she would not find herself surprised and to make sure she knew exactly when the manifestation would enter.
If the gods wished to meet all the manifestations, Shakuni would be the vessel which would allow that.
(( The gods have spoken through their faithful servant! They have decreed that all new manifestations are to be brought to the attention of the Divine Order and brought to Shakuni, their faithful messenger, as soon as possible.
This PRP thread is reserved for the manifestation Shannon.
This introductory post is very similar to the ones of the other Tabula because the Divine Order and Shakuni have not been known very long; it gives you a chance to get to know them as well. ))

Shannon, (that was the name he'd been given that morning) wondered vaguely on his summoning to such a decorated room, and at the odd little feeling that welled up inside of him like some sort of...feeling. He giggled to himself a little. Oops. "Like a butterfly? Like a moth, maybe? But of course a feeling feels like a feeling. Otherwise what would it be?" He mused to the silent hallways. Once arriving in the room, however, his silliness was gone.
This was serious.
He jumped slightly as the door closed behind him, feeling another odd sensation rush through him. This one, he didn't like. "H-hello?" He whispered, risking to venture a little further into the room. "I'm Shannon," He told no-one in particular. Or...someone?
Suddenly noticing the woman at the other end of the room, Shannon jumped slightly. She had been there all along, right?

"Shannon."
"Welcome. I've been waiting for you." Shakuni's lips turned up in a smile as the Tabula finally took notice of her. His nervousness endeared him to her, somewhat, and she was curious to see what the gods would think of this one, hesitant and more than a little scared. Maintaining her smile to keep him as at ease as she could, she beckoned him closer to her.
"Don't be afraid of me. I am only the speaker for the gods; there's nothing to fear."

"Don't be afraid, ah..." Shannon repeated, more to himself then to anything. "Yes, I'm Shannon. It was confusing," He informed her, nodding at his own statement. Without really thinking about it, he found himself moving closer to the woman who had spoken. But he was walking, not being pulled. How odd.
"Is there someone I should be afraid of?" He asked earnestly, as he got closer to her still. He stared up at Shakuni with wide eyes.
"Oh, gods? I'm not sure I know what..." He trailed off, fiddling with the corner of his shirt.

"No," Shakuni almost laughed the word, somewhat amused by Shannon's obvious hesitance, "there is nothing you should be afraid of. The gods do not wish you any harm, merely to speak with you." She paused and looked at Shannon thoughtfully. Another Tabula, another one slightly hesitant and obviously awed at the temple, but....nothing more to say about him, really. He looked the same as the rest. It was up to the gods to look any further than she had.
His last statement confused her slightly, but she filled in the sentence with her best guess '...what you mean. That was easy enough to answer. She smiled and extended her hands to encompass as much of the space as possible. "The gods, those divine beings who make their worldly home in buildings like this, and speak through the Divine Order. Through me, in fact," she said, smiling warmly at Shannon.

By the time he had reached the woman's side, Shannon felt slightly less bewildered, and all but a little excited. Gods wanted to talk to him. If he remembered right (from who-knows-where) Gods were powerful, smart, and altogether much to busy for wordly afairs. He felt quite important.
"What do they wish to speak to me about?" He said outloud, as an afterthought.

They all tended to ask the same question, Shakuni noted. And it was always the one she didn't have the answer to.
"I do not know. That is a matter that is between the gods and yourself. I believe all will become clear in time, Shannon."
They might as well proceed, Shakuni thought. Unless the boy had any further questions; hopefully she would be able to provide more satisfactory answers.
"Do you have anymore questions, Shannon, or are you ready to proceed?"

"I...have no more questions," Shannon whispered sheepishly, feeling rather like a scorned child, even if Shakuni's intention was not so.
He was excited, scared, nervous, and altogether very confused at all the emotions swamping him; though the gods may have help. They may BE the help.
He prayed that would be so and nodded once. "I am ready...I think," He said, as always, with uncertainty.

"Then it is time." Shakuni thought that was sufficiently vague and mysterious. The thought almost immediately slid out of her as she slumped to the floor and the room was pitched into darkness. The only source of light was that which was surrounding the stone fountain that stood in the middle of the room. The tiny lights seemed to be calling out; they, in particular, had an affinity for Tabula. (( There is a black light between the blue and green lights. ))

Stunned silent for a moment, Shannon stared at the fountain. He considered it quietly, sizing it up, glancing at each of the lights before turning his gaze back to Shakuni. Could she talk in this state? He wondered if she was even alive.
"What...do the gods want me to do now?" He asked quietly, wringing his hands together. He could feel the lights calling to him; certain ones more so then others, but...

Time passed and the Tabula stood rooted to the spot. Shakuni was only dimly aware of her surroundings, but she knew that because she was still mostly herself, that nothing had happened yet. Wondering why it was taking him so long, she tried to stand up. Only getting as far as a rudimentary sitting position, she propped herself up on her elbows to support herself, and looked in the Tabula's direction. He stood there in front of the fountain, his silhouette clearly back-lit sharply by the lights in front of him. Apparently, he was having trouble coming to a decision.
"C-choose one. The one that draws you towards it the most." She couldn't make herself say much more, her throat hoarse. Hopefully she'd pick something and the Gods would take over from there. They knew so much more about what this was all about than her; they could provide the Tabula with better answers.

Shannon's eyes bugged out a little. Choose! Choose!? Well that was going to, quite simply, be the most utterly difficult thing in his life so far.
He eyed the colors warily. Three of them called out to him, one rather quietly, one screaming, and the other just was. Very hesitantly, he reached towards the one that was howling out to him to most powerfully. As he moved closer to the black lights, the seemed to swell and creep towards him.
Shannon shuddered, and tried to grab one of the lights in his hand. Menacing.

The black lights accrued, swirling around low to the ground and fashioning out of themselves a figure who appeared to be slowly rising from the ground. There was silence, until it was suddenly broken by the intermittent blustery noises now being made by the figure. He was large, but stout, and swathed in a long, rather coarse kimono of a red, white and black pattern. The figure, now revealed as a man, sniffed at the Tabula standing in front of him, obviously unimpressed.
"And what are you supposed to be, exactly? Don't look like much to me." Susanoo wanted to poke it to see if it would fall over, as he suspected.

Cowering in the large man's presence, Shannon managed to utter a very meek. "I don't know, I was hoping...you'd tell me?"
He wrung his hands, hoping that he wouldn't have to do any tasks or anything for this particular god. He looked very harsh to the Tabula.

Susanoo snorted. That was, in his opinion, an unsatisfactory answer. How were you supposed to know where you were going if you didn't know where you were? He did like to be in charge, though, so he forgave the strange little pale creature.
They were called Tabula, apparently. He hadn't been listening very closely when they were being told about them, but he figured he knew lots anyways and would be able to handle it. They didn't look like much.
His mouth twisted into a sort of half-grin, the God bent and loomed over Shannon, inspecting him more closely. "You... are a Tabula. Something special about you things. Don't know what; don't look very special."
He gave into his curiosity and poked the Tabula.
"You chose Bhayanaka? Path of fear? I would never have believed it if I wasn't standing here to see it myself."
