Dovev sighed and nearly rolled out of the tree he was in. Growling, he righted himself and shook his head. He'd gotten lost in thought again. Even after a few weeks and quite a few pounds gained, he still missed the presence of his mother. It was strange, knowing she was gone. She had never paid him much mind...but she had still been there.
And now she was gone. Vanished from his life. Vaguely he hoped she had just left him or gotten lost, rather than the more likely alternative of death by another creature. He sighed again and rested his forehead on the branch.

Tunta'Poli sighed softly as he padded along - paws sore and belly rumbling a bit. It was harder to find prey sometimes along the coast... so he'd gone inland for a while, and was now in a forest of some kind, peering about at the trees and plants here.
They were different from those at home... and by this point, he knew that he was never going to find his way back there. He'd been blown too far, and he had no idea really in which direction ... and nothing looked familiar.
Another sigh... really... he had to stop being so down in the dumps! He was still alive, right? And he could find another place to live. Maybe... someone would find him, if they were looking. If they weren't all dead.
Argh, there were those negative thoughts again!
With a frustrated little noise, the blue leopard plopped down in the dirt and started to clean his fur off - determined to stop looking and thinking and feeling like he was depressed.

The sound of something below him got him alert and out of his rather depressing thoughts. Hackles raised, he looked about until he spotted the blue leopard below. He was wary...but he had the high ground for now. So...he would be polite. The other looked as worn out as he felt.
"Bad day, sir?" He adjusted himself on his branch so it wasn't uncomfortable to look down.

Poli jumped at the sudden voice from above, ears going back against his head for a moment as his eyes darted around, looking for an escape route. He'd met some unfriendly others in his wandering before - and his usual tactic was to run away. He'd really only fight if forced to ... but if he had to fight, he didn't lose. Ever.
Then the words themselves filtered through and he relaxed, peering up at the other. Oh my. He was ... very very green. "Ah suppose you could say that," he replied after a moment of trying not to be too obvious about staring at the other leopard's fur-color.

He smiled politely, noticing the attempt to not stare. He was used to it...his mother had been just as green, and the two of them together had been stared at quite a lot.
"It could be worse...you could have not awoken today." He jumped from the tree, landing a bit away from the other leopard...out of swiping range for either, to show he meant no harm. The LAST thing Dovev needed right now was a fight. Especially with someone who was likely older than him.

Poli blinked at the other and then smiled slightly at that - usually quite an easy-going leopard. "That's true... in mah case, though, Ah seem to have gotten m'self lost." He shrugged slightly.
"There was a storm near mah home and Ah was thrown into the sea, then washed up again not too far from here. Ah'm startin' to think Ah'm goin' completely the wrong direction since nothing looks familiar."

Lost...ick. Not something Dovev could help with. He was a wanderer...and he'd never really paid attention to the scenery beyond making sure he could find food and water and somewhere to sleep.
"I'm afraid I can't really point you in the right direction. I've been wandering my whole life." He smiled apologetically. "Sorry."

Poli just smiled at the other and nodded slightly at that. "It's ahlright," he drawled, tail-tip flicking. "Not your fault that the weather had it in for me, apparently."
"But if yah ever meet someone who talks about me to yah, you could tell 'em that I'm not y'know, dead."
