Haven't read the books, so I'm not like psyched or anything. Either way, I never go on movie release days. Too many people and I'm not fond of crowds.

Most of my girl friends are obsessed with those books.Every time they get together it's becomes the topic of conversation for a good hour before we move on to something else and back to Twilight again. stare

These girls kept saying how Edward or whatever his name is was a perfect guy wishing guys like him were real...that book ruined vampires is what I'm thinking.

Exotic_Memories there are four books, I've read them all... And the movie looks like its butchered part of the books. Typical.... It's like directors don't even bother to read the books before making the movie...

♥ I absolutely love the books. The movie was ok...not as bad as I set myself up for. I was expecting another 'Eragon'. *shudder* THAT was butchered.
Most of the stuff changed or left out wasn't crucial to the plot, but changing was unnecessary in most cases, why not just stick with what the autor wrote? It's just more time consuming to rewrite. But overall it was fine. I really wished they'd played up the other characters more though. Jasper is one of my favorites but they made him...weird. And they didn't even mention his powers.
I am, however, sick of seeing the merchandise at work. I work at the Hot Topic distribution center, and Twilight is priority product. I swear, if I see another 'Team Jacob' or 'Team Edward' shirt, I will burn it. That's not even a freakin' issue until book 3. :/

I saw the movie... they butchered it basically, I know that most of the changes didn't hurt anything, but still, bugs me.
It was a bit over done, but so are the books lol.
