Corbin let out a small sigh as he closed the door to the large mansion behind him. He needed fresh air. While Hilaire lived in a rather large place, and he had a room that was more than big enough for both him and Shula, he had felt smothered the past couple of days. Antsy, to say the least. He took in a deep breath of fresh air as he stepped off of the raised platform in front of the door and headed in whatever direction his body carried him.
"Where're we going?" Shula asked as she shimmered into view next to him. Her face was turned up to the sky and a slight frown plastered her face. She'd had a lot on her mind the past few days since receiving the letter from Lillith. She still hadn't decided what to do about it. She also hadn't told Corbin about the letter.
"Dunno." Corbin said as he shrugged and glanced towards Shula. She seemed to be distracted by something a lot lately. One of his eyebrows quirked up slightly as he wondered what was on his demons mind. He shoved the thought aside as he turned his attention back to the path in front of him. "Well, looks like we're going here.." Corbin said as a frown crossed his face. Whatever in the world had drawn him to a park. It was full of...children. Something he wasn't exactly experienced with.
"Huh?" It was the only thing that escaped Shula's perfect lips. Her attention went to the destination that was in front of them. "A...park?" She asked. Shula wouldn't ask what Corbin was doing here. Didn't really care. She shivered slightly as a sudden chill went down her back. She was not the only demon here. And whoever was near, was very very powerful.

Lilith looked up through her eyelashes coyly at a young human man. The boy would never be interested in her, especially since she held a little girl in her lap, but it amused her to see him stiffen with desire. Her demonic... potency had not diminished when her little princess was born. Not at all. She laughed, a silly little titter of a thing, and cuddled her daughter close.
The girl had chestnut curls just like her father, wild about her head and hanging down about her mid-back, black and viscous shadows twined in with the corkscrewed locks of hair. Her eyes were a warm chocolate shade and dominated her face; she was a perfect little doll of a child, all dress in green silk. Though she was less than a week old, already she looked to be almost six. "Mommy," she lisped happily, her pudgy hand on the Queen of Demon's cheek. "Hot."
"Yes, darling, but we're waiting now, hush hush."

"I suppose a short walk through the park wouldn't hurt me." Corbin muttered as he headed towards a path that snaked through the large park. He avoided the children running around like they had some kind of...disease. Really, human contact was bad enough for him (he really could only stand Hilaire to be honest) but CHILDREN? Corbin scoffed as a rugrat shot in front of him, causing him to almost trip and land on his face. Maybe coming here wasn't such a good idea. He thought weakly as he gained his footing and continued along the path.
Shula's head twisted back and forth. Looking for whoever or whatever was causing her skin to tingle. She hadn't felt power like this in forever. Not since... No, it couldn't be. What would Lillith be doing at a PARK of all places? Shula's eyes widened as the fell onto a lone figure sitting on a bench, holding a little girl in her lap. "Lillith..." She muttered an oath only she could hear. She really hadn't expected to see her. Let alone see her with a child. Her brows rose in curiosity as she wondered about the little thing. Shula supposed this was for the best. After all, she'd seriously been considering seeking Lillith out and inquiring about the letter. Though, she did not know as of yet if she'd help with whatever was to be done.
Corbin blinked and looked over his shoulder and back at Shula. What was she doing just standing there staring ahead? "What is it?" He asked as he followed her gaze to a woman sitting on a bench. Quirking his eyebrow he responded to the sight. "I thought women weren't your scene?" He said smirking as looked back at Shula.
"Idiot!" Shula muttered as she sauntered past Corbin and in the direction of the queen of all demons. What would she do? Say? She'd never actually been this close to the queen. Only close enough to see her from a distance. Even then her power had felt great. Now it was even greater, like a weight was being held on top of her chest. Shula took a deep breath and continued over to the queen. "My lady..." She said as she took a half bow in recognition of the woman who now sat in front of her.

The child was the first to answer by sliding off her mother's lap and making a beeline straight to Corbin. What she did next was best described as 'pouncing'- she leapt at him and attached herself to his leg, promptly saying, "My name's Odessa hihowyou."
Then Lilith laughed, red eyes dancing with mirth. "Succubus," she said, bowing her head a minuscule fraction of a centimeter to acknowledge the much younger demon. "How are you?" What else did you say to a complete stranger who was Nameless besides?

Corbin barely had time to blink, let alone move out of the way of the incoming child. "I...uh.." Corbin stuttered as he looked down at the young child. He was SO not meant to be around kids. Groaning he forced a smile to his face and replied. "Hello there Odessa. I'm...fine.." he trailed off as his eyes made their way back to Shula and the other lady, who he now assumed was a demon as well. Or another summoner. After all, a demon with a child? Corbin's eyebrows raised in question as he looked back down at the child that was still attached to his leg.
"I am...well." Shula said as she straightened back up. "May I...sit?" She asked hesitatingly, not knowing if it was the proper thing to ask around a queen. Her always snarky behavior was left in the wake of realizing the queen sat in front of her. It would not do her well to be a smartass around her. "I received your letter.." Shula said. "I had been contemplating whether to get in touch, somehow, with you. I suppose my mind was made up for me." She put a look on her face that wasn't quite a smile but was not quite a smirk either.

"As you should have," said Lilith gravely, patting the bench beside her before moving her heavy brocade garments out of the way. "You may sit. This is not Sheol." A probing look, then the Queen said, "Ah, but you've never been to Sheol, have you, Succubus?"
The child smiled up at Corbin. "You is a human," she lisped adorably, licking her coral-pink bow lips as if thinking of a delicious kind of candy.
"Odessa, darling, don't bite the poor man. He's not one of your demon playmates, sweetie."
She gave her mother an offended look. "But Mommy..."

Shula took the seat next to the queen. Her eyebrows raised at the little girl stuck to Corbin. "No...I've not been to Sheol." She said as her attention was brought back to the queen. "You...have a child?" She asked, still a bit amazed at seeing the little one with Lilith.
Corbin gulped down a breath of air as he watched Odessa lick her lips. "Yes...I'm a human..." Suddenly, he was not so keen on kids even more. Though, his curiosity was a bit piqued at the fact that it was a demon child. How strange. He'd never thought of demons having kids. He just thought they kind of...existed. Oh how he had a lot to learn yet.

"I am called the Queen Mother," said Lilith dryly. "Odessa!"
She rested her curls against Corbin's knee. "I know, Mama," she sighed, "I won't bite him." However, she did tighten her grip on his leg- the summoner wasn't going anywhere without his new demonic leech.
That settled, the queen of demons returned her gaze to Shula. "I suppose you haven't come to report to me that you've found the transgressor, have you, Succubus?"

"I suppose that's true" Shula said with a slight grunt. "I just never actually expected an...actual child." A smile crossed Shula's lips as she watched the young demon latch tighter onto Corbin's leg. It amused her to see her summoner in such a situation.
Clearing her throat she turned her attention back to Lilith. "I'm sorry, but I have not." A frown showed through her smile. "I have...not been out too much. My summoner.." Shula waved a hand in Corbin's direction. "..he is not very social when it comes to other humans. Though, I suppose I could lend you my help if you so wish." She said as she bowed her head and at the same time wondered what she could be getting herself into.
The thought of this little girl biting him shouldn't scare Corbin as much as it did. At least, it wouldn't if he didn't know she was actually a demon. His face scrunched up as Odessa tightened her hold on his leg. Plopping down onto the dirty ground he looked at Odessa and smiled a bit. "Hi there." Corbin said as he tried to act...hell, he didn't know how he was trying to act.

"It's true that when the child I birth is an Incubus or Succubus like yourself, they near-automatically grow to their full size," said the Queen conversationally. "Princesses take a little while to grow." She blew a kiss to a passing man, red eyes dancing brightly underneath her crown of black hair. "I don't believe you're a first-generation Succubus, are you, my dear? Your help would be much appreciated, regardless."
Odessa smiled up at Corbin. "Hello, human," said the girl brightly through teeth with rather pointed canines. "D'you wanna play with me?"

Shula watched the man Lilith had blown a kiss at stare and then stumble over his own feet. She let out a low laugh, enjoying the man make a fool of himself. Leaning back against the bench in a more relaxed position she let her thoughts wonder. It had been a while sine she had actually seduced anyone and she kind of missed it. Though, Lucifer was enough to keep her occupied at the mansion when Corbin was a bore. "I am not, sadly." Shula said in response to the queen's question. "Do you...have any details about what happened?" She asked with a raise of one of her neatly trimmed eyebrows.
"I..uhmm.." Corbin thought the request over. Wondering if, ultimately it'd be a good idea or not to play with the little demon. Of course, he didn't want to imagine what the little girl would do should he say no. He let out a breath he hadn't known he was holding when Odessa smiled. Her teeth looked sharp. Very sharp. "I'd...be honored to play with you.." Corbin said, warily of what kind of play the girl had in mind. Though, he supposed it couldn't be as bad as if he'd had said no and made her mad. "My name's Corbin, by the way." He smiled down at the little girl.

"It was summoned around four in the morning not so long ago," said Lilith darkly. "By a human woman, likely a summoner, with a demonic taint, which Luci tells me only lends credence to the summoner theory. A half-demon's taint, he tells me, would have been more pronounced. Of course, I've never been to the human world before this day. I wouldn't know."
The princess laughed happily- her lower canines were as sharp as those on the top row. "Okay, human Corbin. Let's play 'stalk and pounce'!" She smiled, mimicking her mother's dancing eyes as she let go of him. "Mommy will count to ten and we'll go hide, then we have to find each other and when we do, pounce!"
She looked to her mother for a moment, unaware of the dark nuances of the look on the other demon royal's face. Lilith sighed, and with commendable patience, began to count down from ten. Odessa fled to hide.

"A...human summoned it?" Shula hissed out with disgust. How dare they. Why would they. Frowning, Shula tried to think of anything that might help but alas, she couldn't. Damn Corbin for him staying shut up inside that little room of his. Though, she could have easily gone out on her own for a short time she hadn't. She'd grown quite...lazy in this human world. She bit her lower lip. "I will keep my ears and eyes open my lady."
"Stalk...and pounce?" Corbin managed to get the words out just as Odessa shot off to hid. Looking over to Shula Corbin's face took on a look of helplessness. Rising quickly, he shot off, knowing he was not going to get any help from the two demoness sitting on the bench at the moment. He had to find a place to hide. But where? Not like it'd matter probably. The little demon girl could probably find him with her eyes closed in pitch black. At that thought he darted into a thick bush, hoping she wouldn't find him there. He really wasn't good with kids.

Lilith's face showed an expression of equal disgust. "Who else would? A demon I would have sensed immediately- magical swords are not a commonality in our realms." She frowned and picked up counting where she left off until she reached zero. The tense set of her shoulders eased and the Queen's countenance lit up with a brilliant, warm smile. Forget the Virgin Mary- this was how a mother should look. "Thank you, Succubus."
A very, very short time after, a loud and unquestionably infernal screech of delight accompanied Odessa throwing herself onto Corbin's back. Quickly enough that it was clearly a reflex, she bared her teeth and and started to move towards his jugular- not a moment too soon, she remembered where she was and stopped. Sheepishly, she let herself fall back to the ground. "Sorry, human Corbin."
"Good job, darling," called Lilith, clapping as happily as if Odessa had just scored a game-winning goal.

"The human was either an idiot or insane.." Succubus muttered as she watched Odessa stalk her "prey". Thoughts shuffled through her mind at reasons to why the human would be so foolish as to steal such a sword. There would be hell to pay, literally. Though it wouldn't be of her doing. While she had promised to keep an eye out, she was less loyal to the queen than some other demons were. It wasn't for lack of respect, for the Succubus had that for their queen. She just didn't know Lilith that well. Though she supposed that wasn't all there was to it, however, she was not going to analyze it too much further.
A gargled sound escaped Corbin's lips as he was basically tossed to the ground by the little demon girl. A squeak came next as his eyes saw sharp teeth heading for his neck. Closing his eyes tightly he braced himself for the coming death that had finally caught up with him. However, seconds passed and he still seemed to be laying on the soft grass. At the sound of the demon girl's voice he slowly opened his eyes up. Giving a faint, if not weak, smile in response to Odessa's apology he sat up. "It's...okay.." Corbin gulped down a breath and was happy to still be alive for the first time in a long while.
The Succubuss' breath caught in her throat as she held back a hearty laugh. The site of Odessa pouncing on Corbin and poising to attack just seemed so funny. Maybe it was the way Corbin reacted. The squeaking sounds that escaped his body had been rather amusing.
