"Stupid gnomes," Claire mumbled glancing over a few of the Animated stumbling along their new mushroom homes a few yards away. She propped herself up against a small sapling, a rapier stuck in the dirt beside her. With a small sigh she adjusted her Mantis ring while her blood-colored eyes stared in front of her at the Gnomes. They only took one shot to kill for her, unless you got to the officers and whatnot in their silly blue get-ups. Her head snapped up at the sound of someone approaching a bit away from her. In one fluid motion her rapier was ripped from the ground leaving only a mark behind as she took a spot hiding behind one of the large, unused mushrooms.

Claire could clearly see a pale skinned girl from the edge of her hiding spot, then made out a pair of pointed ears... an elf. But she couldn't tell if she was armed or not, and if she had a certain light-emitting ring Claire knew she'd be in trouble if there was a confrontation. Instead she shifted her sword so it was pointed behind her, a bit less threatening before she stepped out into the open. She kept her gaze locked on the girl and her little pet, knowing she'd still have an advantage on her in the darkness.

"You aren't lost, are you dear?" she asked with a false tone of sincerity. "It's dangerous to wander around at night. I know you folks are good with your little spells and plants, but night is a whole different story," she mentioned with a thin smile. Even though it was incredibly dark, she made sure her lips stayed close so not to reveal the pair of blood-lusting fangs hidden behind them. She pulled her hands slightly behind her back to hide her own rings, namely the Mantis and Hunter's Bow she'd use if the girl tried anything funny.

((XD I didn't know Gaia had Europeans. Lol. Just kidding, don't matter, Nicu has an accent too. Owo And Claire uses a few old British words.))

"There's no need to be shy, I don't bite," Claire said with a short laugh at her own statement. "If you aren't lost, surely you have a destination in mind, hm? Not many people go out for midnight Animated hunting trips unless they're pretty confident. Or have backup I suppose," she continued as she quickly slipped the rings off one hand and held it out in front of her to casually examine it while the other held the rapier and swiftly slipped the spare rings into her pocket without any noticeable moment. Vampirism had in perks when it came to speed.

((Nah, I think Claire would have gotten a head start since she already knew about the rings and Null Chamber from her civilian time instead of finding one in burnt rumble. xD And, she slipped them in her pocket, her hand is empty.))

"Well then, how can you say your not? You haven't a cause nor a destination. Come on now, child, what happened?" Claire asked curiously as she placed her arm back to her side and stepped forward just an ounce. No need to push her luck so soon.

"Animated, darling. They're called the Animated. Know one knows how yet. But G Corp has managed to solve the problem on fighting them," she explained as she pulled out her Mantis ring. She hoped that by doing this, the girl would reveal any rings she had. As long as she didn't have that ring, Claire had her dinner. To everyone else, rings were a blessing. But finding food was slowly becoming an annoyance by now.

"Mhmm," she replied with a short scowl as she spotted the Solar Ray ring, "So, you have no experience I take it?" she asked curiously as she picked up a decent sized rock. Restraining her movements, she threw the rock at a more human level, but still managed to peg a gnome on the head pretty good. As it spun around and spotted her she readied her Mantis. Only a second later the gnome was in front of her, and she swiftly moved her arm like the stroke of a blade as a katana appeared out of thin air and mimicked the movement perfectly. The gnome paused, then collapsed to the ground and disappeared. "Perfectly simple you see," she noted with a grin over at the girl. "But these are as weak as they get."

Claire quickly pulled out a black umbrella, pushing it open and shielding herself from the blast of light. As soon as the attack was over she pulled out her Hunter's Bow, carefully aiming at one and drawing it's attention over to her before using another Mantis attack. "Hope you can hold your own. I'm a bit sensitive to light," she mentioned with a small grin as she shot another arrow and once again hid behind the umbrella. The girl's ring should have been more than recharged by the time she let out those 3 little attacks to draw part of the troop's attention.
