Fridrik had finally had enough and convinced Mǽja to help him paint some of the trim he had finished carving on the wagon. She was tired of painting all the time and saw it as a chore but agreed only because he had been trying to get her to help for a couple days now and she did want the wagon to look nice. She was seriously hoping someone would come by so she could get away though.
Fridrik was balanced on the outer fence of the wagon, a small paintbrush in one hand and a little round bowl in the other. He was totally concentrated on painting the rest of the flowers on the wagon’s trim that he didn’t even stop to bark at Mǽja, who was now singing and causing the wagon to rock with her sparodic hip swinging. Her flailing arm was sending small splatters of pale pink paint off the side of the wagon. Fridrik’s eyebrows were set a deep furrow as he tried to keep his balance on the already thin rim and keep his hand steady. He was trying not to imagine what trouble his twin was causing, he just wanted to get the blasted flowers done so he could get started on the rest of his work.

Zak was ambling by in a way that if Ki had seen him would have meant Chore Avoidance Alert in big flashy letters, lucky thing she wasen't here.
Rana ambled alongside in a sort of bouncy dog way. she was very concerned with Zak's pockets as they contained little bits of something very very tasty indeed and sometimes she got them when he said "good doggie" and some tines not even though he still said "good doggie" it was maddening! she'd have to do better!
Zak stopped and regarded a wagon, it was mostly pink-ish garishly colored like many of the wagons that did not belong to Ki. and it was swaying in the breeze. He popped a piece of the cheese rind in his mouth and quietly regarded the woman painting it on this side.
there must have been someone else on the other side but that was conjecture as the wagon had, as yet, failed to topple.

Mǽja wouldn't had stopped her merrymaking except she had this nagging feeling that she wasn't alone on the side of the wagon anymore. She stopped all movement suddenly which ended up causing her twin to topple backwards. He let out a yelp and swore under his breath as he brushed his now pink hand over the grass in an attempt to wipe it off.
Mǽja cringed as she realized something had happened to Fridrik but turned around just to check if her feelings were correct and standing there was an odd fellow and large dog. She frowned, that was a big dog, it probably could eat her if she got on its bad side. She decided it would be safe to stay on the wagon and say hello.
"Hiya there!" She waved and offered a large smile. She kept glancing at the dog just to make sure it wasn't going to do anything.
Fridrik stomped around the wagon with the intention of knocking some sense into his sister only to find they had company. He didn't really want company and was thinking about just going inside and leaving the conversation to Mǽja but the man had a beautiful german shepard. "Nice dog," he said as he shot Mǽja a warning glance, he was going to eat her up later.

Zak chewed the stale cheese in his mouth as he contemplated before replying to the two people before him, not more crazy people, he thought waving to the woman with one hand, he savored the polite peace of chewing with one's mouth closed.
Zak swallowed his cheese and tossed another linty chunk to Rana who caught it with expert cheese calculus and snorked it down whole. "thank you, she is a very good doggie" he said partly to Rana and partly to the man before and slightly above him "nice paint job" said Zak gesturing to the wagon.
I am a very good doggie, thought Rana thumping her tail on the ground and smiling with her tongue out, I should get more of the pocket stuff, because I am so very awesome.

"I bet." Fridrik replyed, walking closer to the dog to study her further, she had a nice coat, "What's this one's name?"
Mǽja grinned even wider, "Hmm thanks, but I don't fancy myself a good painter." She regardered her work. It wansn't exactly as accurate as Fridrik's but he would end up fixing it at some point so it didn't matter much. She jumped up on the railing and sitting down hung her legs over the side.

there was a flash of petticoats, and underthings as the gypsy woman sat down with a fwump, this was politely ignored. there were a lot of snide comments about the dripping slopped on primerless sealentless pink paintjob that could have occupied that silence. not to mention noting that the railing did not look dry. Zak opted to talk about his dog.
"Showed up in the night so I dunno what her real name is, but it seems she'll answer to Rana" said Zak, he patted her on the side the dull thumping noise counterpointing her tail. "she must'a known people but I'd hate to hand her back to whoever"
Rana sniffed and thought seriously about getting up and giving this new one a going over, but there was cheese here, a major conundrum! she settled for sort of straining, in a friendly way, to sniff at a distance.

Leshya'e had let Anezka off her chores that day, so the girl decided to take a walk and see what was around. Spotting a large dog and an even larger man, she stalked along after them out of curiosity. Seeing him stop, she ducked away and spied a bit, eavesdropping on him and the pair of wagon painters. Being the ever curious girl that Anezka was, she wondered if the mysterious arrival of the dog may have something to do with the Meij. "No, no, It's none of my business". She shook her head and spoke to herself, "We'll find out soon enough, that's most sure."

Fridrik knelt down and lifted his hand out, he'd let the dog choose if she would come over her not. "Well she seems to like you well enough. I wouldn't mind getting a dog of my own but that one," using his other hand he pointed his thumb back in the direction of Mǽja who was picking off a green paint stain from one of her skirts, "is afraid of any animal that isn't small, fluffy and falls into the prey category." He narrowed his eyes. If Mǽja had heard she made no indication so but continued to examine the paint blob. It must have been from one of their previous painting because it wasn't the pink of the flowers.

Anezka chuckled, "I'm in that category...I bet we'd get along great." She was about to step out, but then hesitated. One never knew how people would react to a Fortunette. Squatting down, she ducked around to get a better view of the woman, examining her possible new friend. "She looks nice enough, maybe I'll give it a try."

Rana sniffed the new guys hands, they did not contain cheeses bits and were somewhat covered in something icky smelling but she butted against them to show willing, you wanna itch my head and I could be cool with that she thought
"Ohh that's a shame, my Meyma used to not let the dogs in the house, but she had a liking for these horrible rat-bag moggies" said Zak smiling at the memory of the foul tempered inbred tabbies that lurked behind the stove back home, I miss home, he thought, least there's two meals or so a day here, and I couldn't say that before even with a cow of my own. "a'course there's never no use in keeping an animal that can't keep itself" he said slipping Rana another bit of cheese
"and where would you even keep a rabbit or somesutch?" Zak shook his head, tiny wagons barely had room for the people who lived in them. let alone whatever obscure economic endeavor that allowed the nomadic lifestyle.

Mǽja was getting bored of the dog talk the boys were doing and the green blob of paint was proving to be just as uninteresting. A soft chuckle caught her attention. She lifter her head up to try and find the source but she saw no one. Somewhat disappointingly she zoned in on the guy's conversation, "But rabbits are small I'm sure we could fit one in somewhere. It's official we should get a rabbit Fridrik!"
Fridrik rolled his eyes as he tried to decipher what exactly rat-bag moggies were ."Aye, we haven't got any room in the blasted thing as it is and then she insists on keeping these useless gowns." He waved his hand off in the air as he went to scratch behind Rana's ears.

"I dunno rabbits are pretty good eating, plus the skins are warm in the winter, and it's got to be easier then setting traps for them" said Zak

Anezka ducked away as the women lifted her head, scared that she might be seen. A smile soon crept over her face, "Yes, yes, she and I would get along smashingly." Creeping out of her hiding spot, she stood and dusted off her pants, then walked towards the group. Before she had the chance to take even a few steps, she was stopped by the large dog. "Oh, oh, hello there."

"Heres to that. I can make some pretty mean rabbit stew." Fridrik said as he picked at the remaining paint on his hand. Mǽja let out a gasp at Zak's comment, the poor rabbit! She would have said something except the dog bounded off toward a rabbit.....no a girl....a rabbit girl? She ended up letting out a loud screech, the dog might eat the rabbit-girl! She released the the railing she had been gripping much to tightly as the girl seemed calm enough.

"Yeah I do most of the cooking for, Hey Rana git back here!" said Zak "Rana! 'Mere!" he called but the dog was off "godsdammit" he muttered. it was going quite well too, oh well its not like you can train animals by terrorizing them, she'd be back soon enough she'll get cheese when she does what I ask of her, and no sooner he thought as the dog went into the bushes behind the caravan
Rana sniffed the thing infront of her and circled around it, alright her it was a her, although not a human thing at all, but it lives inside, interesting, not quite not a human thing either and it had things on it's back that didn't look quite right. Rana sniffed them seriously even as the squinky-flnofy smell to them smell snuck up her nose and made her sneeze, but they had almost no substance to them. interesting.
but it appeared to mean no harm and did not smell particularaly dangerous, alfalfaed but not dangerous. Rana looked back at Zak this one seems to check out Ok she thought wagging her tail in lazy circles. I am a good dog as I am assessing potential hazards in the enviroment and deserve tasty pocket-things for my good work
