Apollo splashed around at the lake, running in and out, simply playing. He was taking a break from catching butterflies in a jar for his sister. The sun shone brightly and glistened off his mane as he tried catching a fish instead.

*Myra strolled along the lake and looked up at the sky*
God, what's wrong with me? I'm too scared to learn how to fly. Serves them right to kick me out of the herd. I don't know what I'm going to do. I do know I'd like to learn...just not from some one who's going to throw me off a cliff and call it a lesson.
*Myra caught a glimpse of a pony fishing in the lake and froze*
Please don't let him notice me...please don't let him notice me. He'll probably laugh at my nonflyingness.

Apollo was oblivious to Myra as he pounced in the water. He wasn't the best at fishing, but it was for pleasure more than anything else.
"Hey! No! Aww come back! I just want to play!" He fretted, wrinkling his nose.

He leapt up and landed on a fish, catching it and smiling before he slipped and fell, creating waves that splashed on him. He blinked a few times and looked up to the owner of the voice. Wet golden hair stuck to his face. None the less the teenager simply smiled.
"Catch and release. Simply catching them then releasing them."

He stood up and shook out the water from his body and his wings. His wings opened up and seemed fluffier then they were.
"So what brings you by these neck of the woods?"

I'm kind of hiding out. I didn't expect there to be anyone else here.
*Myra pushed some sand with one of her hooves*
I've...I've got a bit of a problem when it comes to flying.

Before he could ask why he gained his answer. He tilted his head. "A problem with flying?" He looked at her from head to toe, noting her wings and not quite grasping why she had a problem with flight. He didn't bother trying to figure that out. So he simply shrugged.

Well, my problem got me kicked out of my herd. They don't want a Pegasus that can't fly. Says it's not natural for a Pegasus to be afraid of heights...
*Myra immediately turned red and started crying*
...Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to unload my problems on you. I'm working on it...I've gotten a little better. Being pushed off a cliff in an attempt to teach me how to fly didn't help any.

Apollo frowned. He and his sister, Chloe, both had wings...His mother had wings and she stayed on the ground most of the time anyway.
"Flying's suppose to be fun or a nice way to travel. If you're afraid of flight, then being pushed off a cliff isn't a way to go. That's like getting thrown into the water and told to swim."

Thank you for understanding. I managed to make it out okay because I can heal myself. It came in handy a lot before I was finally kicked out of the herd. What's your herd like?

I'm kind of in a new herd, but I haven't really gotten to know them yet though. The little one is hyper as all get out though.

May be I could practice by flying close to the ground. I don't think flying would be that scary if I wasn't that high off the ground.

He smirked. "There's always little ones running around our herd, half of them behave like they're adults in their attitude. It's interesting to watch them. Alot of people in my herd have wings of some kind, so for us younger ones, it wasn't hard to find someone to teach us to fly."
