Just got back from Video Game Live, and I'm saddened, sad that I can not find the words to describe the sheer awesomeness of this.
Its was by far one of those things you have to experience in your lifetime.
Martin Leung (Famous for his Blinded folded Mario Piano playing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHn-L6odDP4 ) was there, with a medley of Final Fantasy Music he composed for the piano, it was tear-jerking, his transition from One Winged Angel to Liberi Fatali was so incredibly smooth and effortless, I didn't notice it until about half way through Fatali. The Composer for Halo, Micheal Salvatori was there, and fun fact about the Halo Music, it was all recorded and composed here in Chicago, and the "Tibetan Monks" you here on the menu screen, well, their just 5 jinglers. The Musical selection was Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid (best one I heard), World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, Metriod (For the first time), Zelda, Mario, Mass Effect, Civilization IV, God of War, Kingdom Hearts (The screen displayed the disney's characters from their original debut), Halo, Tetris, Sonc, and a Classic Arcade Medley too. The Cover band was one by the name of SpoonyBards, who played Portal's "Still Alive" (damn...the lead singer was hot, beautiful singing voice too).
