Hello, this is Duo here. I'm trying to figure out what to do about this guild, which seems to be on its deathbed. Gundam Wing is still a cool anime, even if more cool anime have been introduced. I'm not requiring that we all love Gundam Wing more than anything (I like a lot of things more than Gundam Wing), or that we devote our lives to this guild, but if we have time for Gaia, why don't we have time for this guild? There are still some members, like me for example, who want to hang out and discuss Gundam Wing stuff.

I'm not a mod, so it's not like I can clean up old threads or make announcements to try to focus attention on certain subforums or ban inactive members who have either never posted or been inactive for too long, to clean out the member's list and then send PMs to those members who are still active to keep them active, or try to, by pointing out things that are still cool or new about the guild...and I can't invite new members officially or accept new members...

So...

Are there any mods here? Perhaps if there are, we could go out there and hunt for new members at the very least, and hope that they'll be active.

I also think we should try to get in contact with our moderators if none have been active lately. It's not a good sign when a mod abandons his or her guild, etc.

Thank you. Please let me know if you get some feedback, or if you don't get any. It would be helpful to know if they're even on Gaia anymore/responding.

I'm actually just getting back from a year long hiatus because, I, like our Guild Captain, had my account wrongfully banned for that time. My time has been short lately as well, which is one of the reasons it took me so long to get my account back. It wasn't entirely Gaia's fault for the delay.

Anyway, I'm here now, but I'm not sure how often I can check back in the Guild right now due to family medical issues outside of the internet. If you guys want to chat, pop me a PM.

I'm still around (not that Im a mod ><) but Ive been lurking due to inactivity. I'd be willing to help spruce this place back to life if anyone has any suggestions!

I know another guild that really is dead ... and its for a very popular series that is still airing. I think this guild has done really really well, actually.

I think coming up with new topics/threads is one of the best things for the life of a guild ... find a fresh perspective on the series to discuss. I'm sure of course there are other things to do, like contests or whatnot ... but when I join a guild, its because I want to talk with other fans about the series, and come to new ideas and a stronger understanding as a result. With the new FMA series, for example, you could discuss the lack of art, even grafitti, in the new series and what that portends about the civilization there. You could talk about how they only have prosthetics and alchemy, and enough books on alchemy to fill several exclusive libraries, which we can't do with any single field of our sciences. For Death Note you could discuss themes of the primary colors, or how Light has to walk into shadow to pick up the Death Note. This might mean resurrecting old threads? Or something similar ...

I must say, I still check on this guild, but I don't post as much as I should. I suppose that's because I haven't really read any of my manga, or watched the series in a very long time. I am starting to feel that I have nothing to add to this place anymore. I mean I still somewhat enjoy the series, but I've come to a disturbing realisation that I can't actually sit and watch an episode all the way through anymore.
This is also kind of funny since I was just talking to one of my old high school buddies about the good ol' days and we were saying that we should get together with one of our other friends and have a sleep over with a night of Gundam Wing and sketch books. I just wonder if I would last... I am sure being around other people who also like the show I would... but on my own I seem to fail. I've been left to wonder what in the heck is wrong with me >.<

uhh i was gone away from gaia for almost 8 months so yeah couldn't really do anything about that.
