The two teams have combined in an attempt to strengthen themselves. They will be running Chevys in 09, and three of the four drivers will be Truex, Montoya, and Almirola. No word on who will drive the #41 car.

hotaru_keikoku i'll put my money that allmendener is named driver of the other car. I think Allmendinger will go there, but he deserves to be with a better team. If he goes there, then I think he will be the best of the group.

This really makes me wonder if Dale Sr. is rolling over in his grave right now.. there was a reason he named his company Dale Earnhardt Incorporated! It's so sad that ..woman.. ruined that for Dale Jr. Oh well, as much as I had mixed feelings about him joining Hendrick, I think he absolutely made the right decision. I think he was more successful with Hendrick in just his first year than he would've been at DEI under that...woman. Just my opinion...!

After Jr left that team fell apart. Irony, is it not?

You know, I've been wondering what DEI would be like if Dale Sr. had survived that wreck. I'm pretty sure they would be at Hendrick's level, or at least have a nearly perfect record at superspeedways.

I don't know what happened to jr but he doesn't have the "magic" he used to have at daytona and talladega.

True, although he seemed to have recaptured that magic in the first two non-point races at Daytona last year. He has had some bad luck at those two tracks lately, but was running well before he got caught up in wrecks.
