Aye cadet lad, as you can see above, the enlisting period's not over yet. Wait a few more, and after a few more enlistees, we'll get everything in process.
Keep looking for those items, or choose a method above.

Shouldn't your police force be based off of military or fighting type things instead of random questions? Are you looking for people of combat or people to join your knowledge bowl team? xd

Heh it should be that way, but these random questions isolate the brutes of fighters and the intellectual potential officers into their own class or ranks. 3nodding Tactical questions are coming up shortly, after my midterm.

Short Answer Response
Military Officer Training,
You are a Lt. Colonel comanding 4 companies (1 Battalion). Given a Battalion of 700 full strength strong. No artillery, No Cavalry.
Weapon/ammunition: 650 Musket Rifle ranged units, 400 yds. Issued 60 shots each (standard) with bayonets. 19 Officers, melee sabers and 6-shot pistols, 42 shots each. 30 sharpshooters rifles unit, 800 yds. Issued 60 shots each. You are the commanding officer.
Terrain: Your battalion is situated on a slightly sloped hill facing west, clear of any forest for 1200 yds squared. Forest line to the north, north east, and east. Looking west there is hill, higher elevated than your position. South has a broken tree line and a dotted with large boulders, mainly cleared.
Situation: While on march, your advanced scouts detect enemy calvalry and infantry movement from the south.
Scout team 1 report from the south: Estimated 200 men-on-calvary, armed with sabres and lances. 50 men-on-calvary armed with Carbines, unknown ammo supply. Travel time reduced by boulders, eta 40-50 minutes.
Scout team 2 report from the west: 600 fusiliers, Regular Infantry, standard ammunition issue, forming and marching two columns 30-men-wide by 10-men-column deep towards you. Range similar to ours. 150 volunteer musketeers, Militia status, less than standard ammunition issue, less than average range ~200 yds, staggered no formation march behind regulars.
Approximate engagement time of Infantry: 40 minutes until regulars reach firing range.
Both have no element of surprise.
Orders: You are on defensive measures, hold your ground and repel any attack. There is no reinforcements. You have 30 minutes to deploy your men in a strategic formation. Overall mobilization time is 15-20 minutes.
Describe your formation and suggest possible outcome.
You will assessed on bases of strategy, technique, organization, and if your strategy is plausible.
Hint: Consider a V-formation or Box-formation, and the use of sharpshooters. Watch your timing and ammo supply and weapon range.
