So when I was little all I did was read books. If I'd ever gotten introduced to comics I PROBABLY would have ate them up as much as I did anything else I obsessed over, but I didn't.
Sometime this summer I was talking to Evan, and he asked me what I thought would happen if rogue got pregnant....and I was like ....who? And he was like "we also discussed what would happen if wolverine was a girl and got pregnant and such" and I'm like "who?" "is he the one with the claws?"
after Evan died from his palm impaling his face, it turns out Wolverine is the one with the claws, yes.
This spawned a 2 week long wiki x-men fest. And then I decided to watch (torrent) X-Men: The Last Stand cause Ellen Page (Juno) is in it, and I was watching all her movies. And it was hella awesome...so I torrented the first two.
And then wiki'd and rewatched since then and that was less than a week ago. So I was sitting here tonight wondering what I can do to further my x-men obsession without actually spending money.
Uhhh. I'm currently torrenting 892 MB of Marvel comic books, the PC game, and the WHOLE ENTIRE ANIMATED SERIES.

Just...don't watch the "newest" comics and just watch the OLD series that they showed on Fox. (Not X-Men Evolution. If you WANT to...) Justmy personal opinion. xp

o_____________________________O Gee. It sounds like you took to it like... Cocaine to a drug addict, for lack of better analogy.
Well, after you finish all that, you can look back and say, "Wow, I didn't know who Wolverine is?"
I know various names, but I've never bothered to sit down and watch/read/etc anything X-men. Maybe the occasional saturday morning cartoon (which explains the theme now playing in my head) but nothing really beyond that.

Anything nerdy and epic with well developed characters I do the exact same thing with. After a couple months this'll die down a bit...but not a ton. >w<
I KNOW I LOL AT MYSELF FOR BEIN LIKE "claws yes??" and then now OFFICIALLY wanting to tap Hugh Jackman.
And the Pryde cartoons have beautiful animation and terrible acting/writing, but I've gone through a few comics and they're hella awesome.
Had no trouble finding Shadowcat or Mystique or Nightcrawler (or Phoenix, but that hardly counts) comics, and those are my favorite uh...not mainstream enough to be like the top 4. Nightcrawler is really prominent, but it's difficult to find him as more than a side character...anyway.
I'm DLing X-Men TAS MonJ. I was looking for Wolverine and the X-Men, but I think I'm going to download those by season.

Hahaha that happened to me when I discovered LOTR. I watched it every single day for two months, google'd and wiki'd it like crazy, bought the books, bought stuff on ebay, and went to about 5 million forums about it, and went to a convention for it. And then I got over it.
It happened with Star Wars too, but that lasted like 2 weeks and then I got over it because Star Wars is lame.
Anyways....do you like fanfic? That's free and fun smile

YOU CAN TORRENT THE COMICS?
I've recently been getting into Marvel myself. Well, not recently. Ever since I found Wikipedia I've been wiking a lot of shot, many of them being Marvel / DC comics characters. Mostly Marvel, though. The only DC characters I check regularly are Batman, the Joker, Sodom Yat and anyone who happens to die (like one of the Flashes).
My friend has some Civil War comics (the main one, Iron Man, Captain America, X-Men, Spiderman, What If, etc) and Cable and Deadpool comics, which I've borrowed and read.
And I have this to say.
DEADPOOL IS AWESOME.

I don't know much about Deadpool, so I'm holding back judgment.
Anyway you can, but it's a b***h.
Except for TAS, which I'm only opening up for download by season (unchecked seasons 2-5 until 1 finished, then unchecked 2, which is downloading now, et cetera), everything finished downloading.
The game's proving a b***h to download but just because it involves more than me clicking a file.
Still working on comic torrents to work.
Currently I LOVE TAS. I got annoyed when they killed off Morph second ep, though. My main problem is with wolverine's voice. He sounds like those smokers who's vocal cords broke so they have to talk through a hole in their throat.
But it's hilarious a lot of the time. Rogue is so southern it's incredible AND ADORABLE, and they didn't actually know what french is.
Gambit is 'french' in that he has an accent and says mon ami and petit and such, but he sounds like he has a heavy new york accent by someone who doesn't know how to do a new york accent and maybe went to France once. It's HILARIOUS. And Storm sounds really old and is super srs and is all like "STORM, MISTRESS OF NATURE'S POWER, COMMANDS YOU TO GO AWAY *WINDSTORM*"
Basically it's hilarious and adorable and straight out of the 80's and the little touches are awesome. I'm almost done with season one. I like Rogue and Gambit the most so far.

Figured out comic books.
They're saved as .cbr which is a ComicBook Reader File. And all you do is change .cbr to .rar and it's fine. There's also .cbz which turns into .zip.
I'd have preferred .zip since I really don't like .rar, but I got over it.
This guy updates when a new batch of comics go out, and I have the batch of 11/05/08. It's not the most recent, there was a torrent for 11/15/08, but I am NOT PICKY.
HERE IS THE LIST OF WHAT I HAVE.
Adam - Legend of the Blue Marvel, Adventure Comics Special, Amazing Spider-Man, Amazing Spider-Man Annual, Anna mercury, Astonishing X-Men Ghost Boxes, Back to Brooklyn, Black Panther, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight, Cable, Checkmate, Civil War - House of M, Daredevil, Daredevil and Captain America, Deadpool, Final Crisis - Rage of the Red Lanterns, George R.R. Martin's Wild Cards - The Hard Call, Greatist hits 2, House of Mystery, Invincible Iron Man, Justice League of America, Kick a** 1-4, King-Size Spider-Man Summer Special, Marvel 1985 6 of 6, Marvel zombies 3 2 of 4, Monster Size Hulk, Nova 018, Project Superpowers, Punisher War Journal, Salem - Queen of Thorns, Samurai Legend (2 of 4), Sgt Rock - The lost Batallion, Sheena Queen of the Jungle - Dark Rising, Star Wars The Clone Wars, Superman Batman vs Vampire Werewolves (MOST BADASS COMIC BOOK TITLE -EVER-), The Sandman - The Dream Hunters, The Stand - Captain Trips, The War That Time Forgot, Ultimatum, Warhammer 40k - Fire and Honor, Warhammer Monthly Awesome Full Color Promo Issue, Wolverine - Chop Shop, X-Force 008, X-Men - Manifest Destiny, X-Men Spider-Man.
I started with SUPERMAN BATMAN VS WEREWOLF VAMPIRES because Hipple and I thought that was so so so so horrific and epic sounding.
I took a break to read those while in the middle of watching TAS.
My life is AWESOME.
AND IT ISN'T LIKE I HAVEN'T BEEN PRODUCTIVE. Already today I picked out a cake for Jenna's birthday party in a couple weeks, looked up GED testing locations and times and such, did some research on community colleges, poo'd, and AM CONTEMPLATING LEAVING THE HOUSE.
AWESOME.

Solyk if you like ShadowKat, (my personal fav as well), she turns into kitty pryde or something like that later on in her life, but strangely enough earlier on in the comic timeline. So in like xmen evolution she's shadowkat, but in the original comics/cartoons/whatev, she's kitty pryde. Even though she's not too prominant there as far as my understanding goes.
Edit: I don't think gambit was supposed to be like.. france french or even quebeqois. I could be wrong, but i was always under the impression that he was from like... iunno, i can't think of the name for what i'm thinking of right now, but it's in the states. To the best of my knowledge, the only main xman character in the older series who came from outside of the americas originally was nightcrawler. Gambit is more of like.. a ladie's man, he said mon amis and mon cher to seem smooth and exotic.
Also, don't knock my wolverine. The series you're watching was the first glimpse of xmen i ever got when i was little and wolverine and cyclops were my big sweaty fireman saviors. You know what i mean. blaugh

I LOVE MYSELF SOME WOLVERINE but I don't quite love myself some TAS wolverine. nothing that's HIS fault, just the voice makes him sound like he has cancer. Cancer is ...well, very sexy, but not when it ******** up your voice.
Gambit is Cajun, and so that's people who live in Louisiana and speak french. and the accent is supposed to be ******** up sounding, but FRENCH ******** up sounding.
Maggeh: YAY. GOOD LUCK.
I'd never read captain america before last night. I read the Daredevil and Captain America one, and it was awesome, but I have to admit I preferred Daredevil to CA and got excited when I saw I had a DD only comic. I read the zombie x-men one and decided I need to be familiar with the plot first, didn't totes understand what was going on.
Other than that, I LOVED X-Men - Manifest Destiny, LOVED Wolverine - Chop Shop (SO MUCH), and Superman Batman vs Vampire Werewolves reminded me that DC can be awesome too. NIGHTWING. <3

I had to show some awesome to hipple and since our sharing folder is having a seizure I uploaded SO LOOK! First, we have this. Iceman is steering this truck OUT OF CONTROL so he can kick Mystique's a**. GAME! QUICK, TELL ME THE MOST AWESOME THING ABOUT THIS PIC. Hipple did it. CAN YOU? This one is a full comic book page. Kitty died (T___T) and Colossus is sad. This whole comic is adorable and made me tear up. This page is nightcrawler and wolverine thinking that 'bar fight' is the best way to cheer Col up, and Santo not knowing what a bar fight is. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f396/padmepotter/IHATEYOU.jpg

My favorite X-Men were Gambit and Jubilee. Because they just seemed so epic in the cartoons. I like Shadowcat too, because Ellen Page is just made of pure awesome. I like Collosus too... cuz he would give it to you GOOD! and Rogue could kick my a**, so I wouldn't want to mess with her... but I still like her. I LOVE storm, because I'd LOVE to control the weather... and that's it.
I never read the comics... because I always thought that comics were like gay... and I get bored of them so easily... even though they have pictures... I just don't like reading and then looking at the pictures... I like reading, and reading, and then looking at a picture... and then reading and reading... like the HP books.
I have no suggestions for you. I just wanted to let everyone know that I think Gambit and Jubilee are TRE awesome.
