The air was crisp and cool outside which, could only mean one thing, winter was coming. While winter usually brought unwanted chills and colds it brought Fayt excitement and extra energy.
So on this perfect day what was a better thing to do then go looking for other Kyunru. Sure most of the time when she found one they wouldn't exactly be happy to see her. Maybe this time though would be different. This was highly unlikely though. Fayt wasn't one to just want to sit and talk.
So there she was making her way towards the best place to find other Kyunru, the incense shop. With her chest puffed out and her hair well groomed and silky she pranced towards the shop.
Following close behind her crow friend, Fluff chased after her. Today was anything but a good day for Fluff for as so as Fayt went on one of her "searches" for other Kyunru trouble was soon to follow. And who was the one that had to get the Kyunru out of trouble? Fluff of course.

Sylvera was already in the Incense Shop, completing one of her paw paintings. This was the second one she had done, and again the kyunru was quite proud. Not as proud as she was to be a mommy, but that was another subject.
She had just finished cleaning her paws when she heard a noise just outside. Not expecting anyone except maybe Imriel, her feet bounced from the floor in surprise. "Who could that be?" she whispered to herself, tilting her head in curiosity. Maybe she should investigate.
Vera had to be careful tiptoeing down the stairs, as her veil (or blind) made the darkly tinted stairs even darker. Her two back hooves seemed to be making a little noise, as did the second to last stair. It squeaked as if she had stepped on a mouse, and she was sure that the thing around the corner could hear.

Having already nosed herself through the shop's door the purple Kyunru looked around. It had been a while since she'd been here, a good long while. It didn't look like she'd missed much though in Fayt's eyes everything looked exactly the same from the last time.
The Kyunru glanced around. There seemed to be no sign of life whatsoever. Maybe she had picked the wrong time to come or everyone had heard she was coming and up and left. Either way Fayt was about to head back out the door when she heard it. A squeak. Both sets of her ears shot up as she turned back around to discover what had made the noise. Maybe someone was here after all. She made her way towards the stairs, that she had completely forgot even existed, Fluff following after her in close pursuit.

Taking a soft gulp, she eased herself into a calm, easy mindset. It was probably another kyunru, or one of the other many unique creatures that visited the shop. Peaking around the corner confirmed her observation.
Coming up the stairs was a purple and black kyun, not too young but not too old, either. She had a fluffy tail and mane, with two lovely clips in her hair. She also had what appeared to be a scarf made of the same material as her own ribbon blind. Speaking of which, she removed for a moment to get a better view. Had the new kyunru spotted her yet?

The purple Kyunru had made her way up a couple stairs when she saw her. Judging by her features she must have been a Kyunru herself though she was much more beautiful then any others Fayt had ever met. With lace-like wings, white silky hair, and beautiful blue eyes she truly took Fayt's breath away for a second.
"My my aren't you a pretty one." Fayt did her best to try and circle the new Kyunru, trying to take in all her features, though the stairs didn't allow much room to do this. Before she could get any closer to the new Kyunru though Fluff came flapping up the stairs, determined to separate Fayt from this beautiful stranger. Fluff certainly didn't want any trouble.

The other kyunru was on her in a heartbeat. She circled around Sylvera, inspecting her every feature. Though Sylvera was not used to this roundabout looking, she was used to getting some stares. Her personallity was not one of those to gain an ego boost from it, however. She was about to speak when she found a crow in front of her face.
Gulping, she tried to give a smile. It failed, so Sylvera looked toward the ground instead. What was going on? "Um, hello there." Her voice was as soft and silky as her pelt and white hair. Tilting her head slightly, she attempted to get a better look at the purple and black kyun. Her eyes were more red than she had thought, and were almost eerie. Overall she was cute, but the crow being so protective might regularly make that hard to see.
Wondering why her vision was so blurry, Sylvera reached up with her paw to feel that she had put her ribbon blind back on. Lifting it slightly, it appeared that the other female's eyes, hair, and scarf were quite sparkly and pretty. She wondered if she had a partner, but knew that this kyunru was still a little young and thin to have had children.

Noticing she was upsetting the new Kyunru, Fluff landed. She looked up at the new Kyun and let out a soft caw as if trying to comfort the pretty stranger.
Fayt had backed off slightly after Fluff's entrance, though she was still staring at the newcomer intently. "Hello to you too beautiful." she said stepping over Fluff to get a closer look at Sylvera's face. Fayt had noticed this Kyun's beautiful eyes and wanting to get a closer look at them she lifted up her ribbon blind to get a better look at them. Clearly Fayt had never heard of personal space.

In seconds, the purple and black kyun was eye to eye with her. The red eyes had a wonderful shine in them that reminded Sylvera of rubies. Her friend, she noticed, had also taken a few steps back. So the bird understood space while the kyun did not. Nevertheless, the unicorn spirit smiled at her.
"So you are a new face around here. Well, to me you are anyway." Vera tilted her head to get a better look, wondering if maybe she had seen her before, and just did not remember. I'd remember someone like this, she thought to herself.

"I guess you could say i'm new around here. It's been awhile since i've shown my face in this shop." Fayt took a step back to take in the elegant Kyun in front of her again. "What about you? You come here often?"
The purple Kyun brushed her fluffy purple tail against her new acquaintance's face as she took a step forward to look up the stairs. "So what's up there? Care to show me around beautiful?" Fayt gave her a wink as she began to walk up the stairs. Fluff flapped her wings violently in her effort to get back between the two Kyuns. It was her job to "babysit" Fayt after all.

Blinking, Sylvera lead Fayt up the stairs along with Fluff. She had not expected to get a tail to the face, though she knew it was not a bad gesture. Around the fifth stair, Sylvera began to speak again. "There is not much up here, except some pillows and incense. At the very top, I mean. These other rooms hold games and such." Turning her head, she nodded toward one of those rooms. It was blue and purple themed, and very lovely. It almost appeared to be an office of someone, and it certainly was not the game room. Too many lamps were in there for it to be games.
"If I am not at home with my family, I am usually here. This place is like my second home." Just as she finished her sentence, they reached the final floor. The walls and floor were made of wood, probably (and more obviously) from the tree, and many pillows filled the room. Every single one was a different color, save for the rainbow pillow. It was the one Sylvera sat on before looking around the room more herself. There was a bed, a couch, and a hammock as well. The hammock was padded, and usually that was the place all kyunru loved. Vera could see her sons potentially relaxing there when not in their beds at home.
As the unicorn's spirits eyes gazed over the room, they finally came to Fayt's second set of ears. They had blended in so well before that she had not even noticed. Now Sylvera understood perhaps why this kyun was so observant. "You know, I do not think I ever learned your name."

After Fayt got to the top of the stairs she stepped aside to let the other Kyun lead. The rooms were so vibrant. It was easy to see why other Kyuns liked hanging out here. The purple and blue room especially caught her eye and had she not been in the presence of such a attractive Kyun she would have been tempted to check it out.
When they reached the final room the purple Kyun was slightly taken aback by all the pillows and other comfy looking furniture. It was like a Kyun love nest or at least it was in Fayt's mind. Fayt grabbed up a rather light blue colored pillow in her mouth and drug it over next to the elegant Kyun, who had taken seat on the most colorful pillow in the room. The closer she could get to this new Kyun the better. Plopping down on her own pillow, Fayt herself soon became a pillow for Fluff, who had perched herself on Fayt's back.
Fayt glanced around her new surroundings, taking it all in and trying her best to ignore Fluff. She positioned her ear sets so she could take in all the new sounds of the shop too. Twitching her ears Fayt turned back to her pretty companion. "I'm Fayt and this here is Fluff." She turned her head to motion at the crow on her back. "And what might your name be lovely?"

Sylvera watched as the two laid next to her, one on top of the other. She could not figure out if they were friends, if one was a guardian to the other, or some other relation. It was something she could, and probably would, ask later. "My name is Sylvera, but you can just call me Vera for short if you like," she replied, smiling slightly. She was still unsure how to think about this Fayt and her Fluff, but so far they appeared to be harmless.
Looking around, she noticed the room was slightly darker than usual. Eyes roaming the room, they finally hit the cause; two bulbs had burned out. That was something she needed to fix later. Actually, this made the second thing she was putting off. Getting up, she pulled open a drawer from a nearby lamp table with her paw, and picked up a bulb. Holding it tight, she flew toward one of the old bulbs, and replaced it. She did this one more time before returning to her spot on the rainbow pillow. "Sorry about that," she mumbled almost breathlessly, "the lighting was bothering me. I'm used to it being somewhat bright in here."
Feeling her face turn red, Sylvera felt it best to change the subject as quickly as possible. "So Fayt...do you have a family?" She tilted her head slightly at her own question, then continued. "How did you and Fluff meet?"

Fayt's ears twitched. "Vera..." she parroted softly to herself as if getting used to the name. It was such a fitting name for a pretty lady such as herself. "...It's a pleasure to meet you my beautiful Vera." The purple Kyun bowed her head slightly. Normally Fayt would never have been this formal and in all honesty she was just parroting something she had seen long ago. This Kyun looked like formal stuff would be right up her alley though. This was all an act to try and win over the girl.
Fayt watched Vera replace the burned out bulbs. This was something she had reserved that only humans could do. Not only was this Kyun beautiful but, she could do amazing things all by herself. Fayt blinked a couple times, letting her eyes adjust to the new brightness of the room, her face still filled with wonder. It wasn't long before Fayt shook herself out of her momentary wonder, nodding at what Vera had just said.
"...A family.." Fayt's ears shot up at this new question. Truth be told families were a sort of foreign concept to her. She'd never really had anyone with her ever besides Fluff. Sure she'd had flings before but, never had she had anyone that would love and care for her. "Fluff here is my only family." Motioning at the bird on her back she continued. "Ever since I was born she's been here for me..." Fayt trailed off and Fluff sensing some uneasiness in her friend began to preen her hair. Fluff was more like a mother then anything to Fayt, though at times having your "mother" follow you around everywhere was a pain. Which explained why Fayt would sometimes try to ditch Fluff to be alone with another of her kind. Fayt shook herself out of her own thoughts. She was being extremely rude to this beautiful lady. "What about yourself?" "Have any family?"

Sylvera watched as Fayt talked about Fluff and a little of her childhood. As she stared off into space for a moment, it told the unicorn spirit that maybe she was a little odd because she did not have parents to raise her, but she had turned out well and with a good heart. It gave Vera a warmth inside her own beating heart to know that she atleast had Fluff with her, and that they had each other today. It was much better (and happier) than to have no one at all.
So now that Sylvera had been asked about her family, she felt spoiled. "I have a loving partner named Lasuk. He's a kyuria, by the way, and we have two beautiful sons named Adriel and AntheƓ." Looking down, she knew she should probably dive into her past a little. Fayt did after all, and it would only be polite if she did the same. "My parents passed away just as I became a teen. So I raised myself toward the end, but in my youth I had a lot of help."
Had Sylvera begun to take her family for granted? Certainly she would not from now on. How lucky she was, and how lucky her sons were now. Fawns need their parents guidance.

Fayt listened to Vera talk about her partner. So this amazing Kyun did already have a mate. No surprise there, Fayt just felt somewhat guilty for flirting so much with her earlier. She had found in her experiences that flirting with Kyuns that already had something wasn't the best of ideas.
Her ears immediately shot up and her eyes went wide at Vera's other members of her family. "You..have KIDS?!" Fayt had never seen a Kyunru fawn other then herself when she had been young. She actually had surprisingly unaware that Kyunru could even still have children since she had never really seen one herself. Fayt gave a small blush. Vera probably thought she was completely weird now if she didn't already. "Sorry...i've just never really seen children of our own kind before..."
Vera's past took Fayt by complete shock. Her parents had died at such a young age and yet she had turned out so well. At least Fayt had never actually know her real parents. Knowing nothing about them was better then losing them after you had grown to love them so much. "I..i'm sorry to here about your parents." Fayt had a urge to scoot over closer to Vera to comfort her, though she decided it was better not to bring up the subject any more.
Fayt sat in silence for a moment or two before piping up with another question. "What's it like? To have a family I mean." Another faint blush crossed Fayt's face. Fayt was rarely one to get embarrassed but, the thought of having kids did just that.
