After all, every being deserves a story...Once upon a time... as all fairy tales begin, there lived two brothers, Edward and Jacob, who loved one another very much. The held, in each other, the greatest respect for the other. Inseparable as they were, they continued about life in a merry fashion... But, all good things must come to an end... And this end came with a woman.
Edward, the younger of the two, was walking through town one day when he met a very beautiful girl by the name of Elizabeth. Elizabeth entranced Edward with her movements, with the graceful swishing of her brown hair as it blew in the breeze. And instantly, Edward fell in love. Excited for this, he ran all the way home to his brother, pulling Jacob along to observe the girl that Edward knew he would make his. But Edward didn't understand that Jacob didn't want to share Edward... That he wanted to keep his little brother to himself... And in this, Jacob turned to evil...
Now, there was a book. A book that told of ways to get what one wanted, and in the night, Jacob tore a page from the book and traveled into the forest where he preformed a spell... But Jacob did not know that this would damn him forever... That in this, he would become a monster... And that in this, he would lose his brother, the one being he was trying to hard to keep... And perhaps, Jacob did it out of jealousy... Perhaps he too, when laying eyes upon Elizabeth, fell for her completely...
The next morning when Jacob awoke, Edward was gone. He went around the town looking everywhere for his brother, but could not find him. Jacob even searched for the girl... Elizabeth... The brunette who he loved and hated... But, he could not find her either. He ran home and looked around Edward's things for a note, perhaps... And nothing. But then, there was a stench... A strange stench that Jacob picked up, and looking under his bed, he saw his coat, covered with bits of Edward's golden hair and Elizabeth's brown strands... And caked upon it, blood...
Jacob had made a fatal error... He never read the fine print, and in realizing this, he ran off into the woods where he had tore the page from the book, where he had read the spell and there he found the two mangled bodies... Edward and Elizabeth. Jacob had sold his soul... Had become a Demon of immense power... And he lost the one person that mattered to him... A tear fell down his cheek...
But then, a strange light was emanating from Edward's body... A soft glow at first, growing brighter and brighter... And finally shining brightly, forcing Jacob to shield his eyes. "I have been given another chance," a voice said... A voice familiar to Edward's voice, but different, and when Jacob opened his eyes once more, he saw the figure of his brother, Edward, no longer mangled, but beautiful and glowing with wide spread wings that disappeared within moments.
"You brother, have betrayed me... And so I have been sent back to watch over you... To help you..." the golden haired figure said, and took Jacob up in his arms before fleeing the clearing and disappearing...

And for every story, there needs to be a setting...Deep in the forest we reside... but you cannot find us unless you are lost... Unless you are searching out something that cannot be found... People stumble upon us... Those who have been wandering for long, and when they leave us, they tell us they will return... But they can't. No one can return if it is this mansion they are searching for... And in this enchantment, we hide...
The brothers live in a large mansion that looks like it was built in older times... And why not? After all, the two beings that reside in it are immortal. But, this house is not creepy... It does not look dangerous... merely mysterious, and overall elegant.
The mansion consists of three levels, though from the front view, it merely looks like two. The entrance is elegant, with double doors, that when opened, let in a soft breeze. The grand entrance is true to its name... Grand. With marble floors and two staircases wrapping on the wall one leading down to the bottom level of the mansion and the other leading up to the third floor of the mansion. On the third floor there are three master bedrooms, all complete with their own bathrooms... Each one beautiful in its own sense... Edward lives to the right and Jacob, to the left, a room left between to separate them...
On the second (main) level there is a large den to the right when you first walk in. The den is connected to a library, one that takes up two floors... When you enter the library from the main level of the house, you can gaze down to see the bottom level of the library, which is the bottom level of the house. If you were to walk between the stairs, you would come across the kitchen, beautifully furnished with all new trappings and such, and looking out onto a beautiful garden and lake located behind the house. Step through sliding doors and out onto the porch, where you can walk downstairs...
To the left of the staircase is a study where Edward and Jacob do work or read. Sometimes this room is used as their smoking room. Pull a certain book form the shelf and a secret door will open up, revealing a larger room, filled with books that have been collected over the ages of their being alive...
Downstairs you will find a couple of guest rooms to the left, each, once again, with their own bathroom. To the right, the bottom half of the library, and to the back, a garage in which they keep their cars. Walk out onto this porch and down some steps into the garden, made, in a way, to seem like a maze. Get through the maze or go around it to find stables, and even more, a beautiful lake.
Paradise, much?

And for every story, there needs to be beings to move it...Character Skeleton I know that we both know the rules when roleplaying on Gaia. When you get your character, the female of this story, PM it to me and I'll post it up! [imgright][INSERTANIMEURLHERE][/imgright] [ First, Middle, Last Name ] but you can call me [Nickname] if you like. I am [18-21] years old [female] and my birthday is on [Month, Day]. People say I act like [Describe your character's personality in first person. Let's get to know each other a bit, eh?]. And I say it's because I have a past that goes like this: [Write a short story about your character, so on, so forth. Doesn't have to be very long]. These are a few of my favorite things:
. But I abhor
. Did I forget anything?
. I am a mere puppet controlled by [Username]. [ Edward.James.Cullen ] but you can call me [Edward] if you like.
I am [twenty] year old [male] and my birthday is on [June 20th]. You can see me in the above picture... I have [golden] hair.
People say I act like [I've been hurt. A lot of people mistake my pain for indifference or cold-heartedness towards them. Frankly, I was hurt when my brother Jacob killed the love of my life... But, I understand... Yeah, I guess you could say that I'm a very patient fellow... I'm understanding and forgiving. On a good day, or when I feel I can open up to a person, I am happy and cheerful. I am kind hearted and I'm charming. I love to make people smile, and I've gotten comments before on how I'm very soft and gentle when it comes to interaction. Oh, and I've been told that I'm a very good advice giver... I've noticed over the years that people like when I give them hugs or comfort them.
And did I mention... wear my heart on my sleeve...].
And I say it's because I have a past that goes like this: [My story can be found above... Yes, my brother killed me... But, I was given another chance by that whom resides above. Sure, I am a bit angry at my brother for doing what it was that he did, but I can understand, I think... Perhaps, a little. I try to see it from his point of view... We were inseparable before... He felt threatened by a new-comer, and so he took action. What he did, as caring as it may have been, was wrong though, and even though I love my brother, I do harbor a bit of resentment towards him].
These are a few of my favorite things: [Cooking, reading, drawing, writing, walking, adventuring, and swimming]. But I abhor [loud noises, people who are fake, and liars].
Did I forget anything? [I play the piano and compose a bit of music here and there].
I am a mere puppet controlled by [x x _ m o n e t _ x x]. [ Jacob.Anthony.Black ] but you can call me [Jake] if you like.
I am [twenty-one] year old [male] and my birthday is on [February 11th]. You can see me in the above picture... I have [black] hair.
People say I act like [a bit of a jerk sometimes. I'm a bit spiteful towards what I did to my brother... In fact, I harbor the guilt and think about it every day. Every so often, I have flashes of what happened way back when... And it really does pain me to have done such a thing. I just, don't know what over came me, is all... I guess you could say that I get jealous easily... And that when I get jealous, I tend to overreact a little. I'm trying to hush down my temper though. it acts up every so often... But, it's kind of how I show I care, and Edward understands that... I think. On god days, which is a norm for me, I like to make people laugh. You could say that I'm a bit of a jokester. I've gotten comments before on the fact that I do really cute things sometimes... Not really sure why, but I do. On the flip side, I can be really serious and a bit intimidating. Im not that great at showing my feelings... But, I don't know, I guess you could say I'm a whole array of different characteristics].
And I say it's because I have a past that goes like this: [Yes, I killed the girl that my brother loved. Over the years that I've had to think back on it, I've realized that I fell in love with her on sight... That I was jealous... That something over took me... And now I have to pay with guilt. I know that Edward still loves me because I'm his brother, but I know he hates me for the pain I caused him too. I try to stay out of his way for that reason].
These are a few of my favorite things: [Laughter, smiles, horse-back riding, abstract art (mainly with spray paint, hehe), pranks, swimming, running, photography]. But I abhor [anything that could hurt my brother].
Did I forget anything? [I play the guitar and I usually sit downstairs in the den with my brother on nights and we play music].
I am a mere puppet controlled by [x x _ m o n e t _ x x]. [ Renae Elizabeth Rawling ] but you can call me [Ray] if you like.
I am [18] years old [female] and my birthday is on [May 13th].
People say I act like [I don't have a care in the world. I've been through a lot but I'm usually smiling or trying to cheer people up. I like having fun and making new friends, but I wear my heart on my sleeve, so it's easy for me to get hurt. Though I'm kind and caring, I tend to overlook my own feelings, and neglect them.].
And I say it's because I have a past that goes like this: [When I was little, my father abandoned me and my mother, whom I later lost to the wrath of a vampire. my mother wasn't killed, but instead she became the vampire's mistress, leaving me, her 8 year old daughter to fend for myself. Since then, I have learned to care for me, keeping clothes on my body and food in my belly. I was a thief until I was old enough to get a job, which I still have. I work in a local cafe as a waitress, and although the pay isn't the best, and the tips are often little, it keeps a roof over my head. I haven't seen my mother since I was 10 years old, and I don't want to, though I knows she's still alive. I spend my days trying to forget my past, and searching for my father].
These are a few of my favorite things: [Tea, music, learning, the nice guy]. But I abhor [The player, bullies, vampires, the dark].
Did I forget anything? [She makes extra money on the side by writing songs and selling them to local musicians].
I am a mere puppet controlled by [xXEternal_SmilesXx]. [ Isabelle Elizabeth Rawling] but you can call me [Belle] if you like. I am [20] years old [female] and my birthday is on [April twenty first]. People say I act like [I take life too seriously, or if I knew a lot of people. I am always on the move, so you probably won’t get a lot of chance to say much about me. There is something I have to find no matter what the cost. Even if it cost me my soul I will make things right for her.]. And I say it's because I have a past that goes like this: [Belle has always had the picture perfect life. She was never wanted for anything or was even denied anything she wanted. The day of her high school graduation her father had a heart attack seeing his little baby walk across that stage. That day in the hospital as he lay dying her father confessed a dark secret to Belle.
When she was a small child he had lead a second life and somewhere out there somewhere she had a little sister. She was a year or three younger then she was. Just like Belle she was named after his mother Elizabeth Rawling. That night her father died in the hospital bed, his terrible secret had eaten away at his body and soul. From that moment Belle dedicated her life to finding her sister Renae. She should know the same life that Belle had known growing up.] . These are a few of my favorite things: [Iced Tea, classical music, Yoga, and jogging]. But I abhor [people asking a lot of questions of her, ground beef, diet soda ]. Did I forget anything? [All Belle has to go on to find her sister is the name Renae Elizabeth Rawling, and a photo of a small girl in a golden locket.]. I am a mere puppet controlled by [azreal425].

Edward's golden eyes flickered out and onto the landscape that he could see from where he stood in the kitchen. He had been cooking years... He barely had to pay attention to what he was doing anymore... Cutting vegetables was as simple as breathing, in his opinion... But then again, when he watched Jacob in the kitchen, it was pathetic, so clearly he had acquired some skill in it.
For a moment, his gaze moved to the clock that was slowly ticking on the wall... It was almost noon and his brother had not returned from his horse-back riding yet. Then again, when was that man ever in the house unless it was to sleep? But he had to come in soon... Clouds were gathering, daring to rain... In fact...
A drop of water slashed against the glass. There it was, just as he had predicted. He could smell rain in the air, and he knew it was coming. And the day had started off so bright too... He sighed, glancing down at the food he had going. A salad with sandwiches... Something that they had almost every day... he was just glad he didn't get sick of it... Dinner and breakfast always made up for the repetitive lunches...
Jacob jumped off, feeling rain pattering against his face in constant flow now. "There we are, girl... Back inside," he said softly to the horse, a midnight black one, majestic and beautiful. "We'll go out another day..." he said, smiling at it before turning to leave the stables, closing up before heading back up to the house. By now Jacob knew that Edward would have finished off making lunch...
His footsteps squished gently into the ground as he walked past hedges of roses and different flowers weaving through one another... Edward took such good care of the garden, it was almost creepy. He chuckled a little over the thought, reaching out, allowing his fingers to brush against the leaves as he continued, the water spraying off the plants in different directions.
"I'm back!" he yelled, hearing his deep voice echo through the house as he entered. He removed his shoes and coat at the front door, hanging the coat to dry before heading upstairs with a large leap, never once touching one step, but landing before the door to his room. "Roast beef!" he yelled, smelling it, and grinned. Maybe there were perks to being a demon... Enhanced senses... Fast movements... Different little things that made it obvious that he was clearly not human...

It was a normal day at the restaurant and lounge, and Renae was exhausted. She had been working since seven this morning, wiping down tables, taking orders, and bussing tables. But at least she was making money by working overtime. Night time at the lounge was her favorite. The manager of the restaurant and lounge, which was known as Elaina's Elegant Restaurant and Lounge, allowed her to sing her songs nearly every night, which was usually how musicians heard them and bought them from her."And now, Renae, would you mind gracing us with one of your songs?"The manager called from the stage, and Renae was grateful to get off of her feet. She got up onto the stage where she was given a stool, a microphone, and her lucky guitar, Kimber. She welcomed everyone to the lounge and strummed a few chords on the acoustic guitar, making sure it was in tune. "This is a song that I wrote about my mom." She said into the microphone as she began to play the soft and sad melody.
"Blue eyes, lonely eyes
Cry on the saddest day
The pain never goes away
Old scars and new found fears
Masked in the pouring rain
A loved one has gone away
And sorrow has come to stay
My heart just crumbled
My heart just crumbled
And I tried not to cry
Emotions tumbled
Emotions tumbled
On the day we said goodbye
Sad eyes, closed eyes
Blind to reality
Hiding tears that the world can see
Sad songs and broken hearts
Memories never go away
Sorrow has come to stay
And my heart begins to break
My heart just crumbled
My heart just crumbled
And I tried not to cry
Emotions tumbled
Emotions tumbled
On the day we said goodbye
Open eyes, knowing eyes
Welcome the hands of fate
A moment that's not to late
Sorrow has gone away
A new day begins today
My heart still crumbles
My heart still crumbles
But I no longer cry
Emotions tumble
Emotions tumble
But I accept goodbye"((And yes, I really did write that song after my sister and my grandmother passed away. ^^" No copyrighting XD))

[[ 'ooc That's lovely! Got a tune for it and everything? ]]
Edward sat, his eyes focused on the food before him, the only sound he could hear was Jacob's loud crunching, the slight grunts he made while eating, and the scraping of a fork now and then, against the side of the bowl that held the salads. "Hey so, I was thinking we'd go out tonight maybe, you know? Haven't been out in ages..." he said, his golden eyes flickering up to meet Jacob's dark red ones. Edward was hopeful... He needed an escape from the isolation of the his monotonous life there in the mansion...
"Hmph?" Jacob grunted, looking up from his plate, his mouth stuffed with food. "Mmph, yeah," he said in an almost impossible to understand sort of way before returning to his food. He finished it off within the last few bites and sat back, rubbing his stomach a little. "So, out. Did you have anything in mind, or are we just going to wander around the city until we find something, hm?" Jacob asked, now leaning forward, his elbows resting against the counter top, a toothpick between his lips, twiddling around. "Where ever it is that we go, I want a shower before," he said with a nod, looking at Edward, waiting for his response.
Edward mused over the thought for a moment. He didn't exactly want to go out to a club... But somewhere with live music would be awesome, really. "Well... Hm... I don't know. Remember that guy from a little while ago? He mentioned something about this really nice lounge, ah... What was it now... Elaina's?" he said, trying to remember the name of the place. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it was. He said it was good to go at night... Live music and a really chill atmosphere..." he said with a nod of his head, smiling, looking expectantly at Jacob for a response.
Jacob almost laughed at Edward's facial expression. It was so close to being desperate for human interaction. They didn't get much, living in the middle of no where and all... "Yeah, yeah, sounds fine," Jacob said, flicking the toothpick, watching it soar directly into the garbage can. "I'll go shower now," he said with a nod and got up, the chair making a loud noise against the hardwood floor of the kitchen, and walking up stairs to his room.
[[ 'ooc And now, if you don't mind, I'm going to do a bit of a time skip so that we can get to interacting. It's quite difficult thinking of things to say when interacting with one's self. Oh, and I was considering getting a friend of mine, Skittles, from the Malice RP to join possibly? We can have conflicts with love interests or something? But, only if it's okay with you...? Maybe... I'm not fully sure yet... LoL. ]]
Edward was first to step into Elaina's. He remembered now, that they had visited there many a time before, but never at night. Always for lunch to get a bite to eat... It was a different atmosphere at night, and he slipped in, his golden hair gently askew, wind blown from having taken the convertible. His outfit consisted of dress shoes, nice black slacks with a white, long sleeve, button-down, collared shirt, and over it, a black coat. All in all, he gave off an air of cleanliness... A high-end sort of business man.
Running his hand through his hair momentarily, he walked up to the stand and asked for a table for two. Although it was busy, they got a table within a few minutes, seated right near the stage. "I'll take a glass of your finest pinot grigio," he said to the waitress when she came around and he smiled kindly at her as she left.
Jacob, on the other hand, was dressed a little more casually, though still came off as rather classy. He wore a pair of black converses, a pair of dark antique washed jeans, and like his brother, a white, button-down, long-sleeve, collared shirt, and over it, a black blazer. Around his neck, sat, loosely done, a black tie and on his head, a black fedora hat. It was a strange combination to see together... One looked a bit more hip, while the other looked more business. However, both looked stunning...
He followed after Edward, his movements casual and graceful as he walked, sitting himself down at a chair facing the stage so that he could watch the performance. "Oh, can I get a JD and Coke, please?" he asked the waitress before he heard the plucking of guitar strings. "Ah, good music then," he said, turning his attention to the front, seeing on stage, quite a beautiful, melancholy looking girl. And then she began to sing...
Edward's gaze was transfixed on the girl on the stage... Such a beautiful voice erupted from her, as sad as it was to hear. "Blue eyes, lonely eyes, cry on the saddest day. The pain never goes away..." In fact, the girl's voice reminded him most of Elizabeth's voice, and it took all of his will power not to leap onto the stage and embrace her as if she was his Elizabeth. What did the manager say the girl's name was again? He couldn't remember, couldn't pick it out... Something that started, perhaps, with a R...?

((I suppose. I'm not a big fan of big heaps of conflict. XD I get enough of it in my One on One Roleplays, but it's really up to you. ^^" I could always play more characters if you need me to.))
As the song finished, she smiled and laughed when people shouted for an encore. Considering the song she had just played had been so depressing, she began to play a more upbeat, happy song, though it was still pretty slow. Her eyes fixed on the two men that had just come in, and something went off in her mind. She had seen them before, though never at night. They both looked... Gorgeous. Her cheeks tinted the color of embarassment from staring, and her eyes returned to the rest of the crowd as she began to sing, tapping along with the beat as she went, occasionally closing her eyes. She put a lot of passion into her music.
"The time is right, the night's just calling And even now my heart is falling I don't want to say goodbye I don't want our time to end So just take my hand and let's fly..."

[[ 'ooc Maybe later on you could make another character... But for now, we stick to one girl ^___^ ]]
Jacob couldn't much tell what it was that was coming over him. Maybe it was the gentle voice of the girl that sang... Or then again, maybe it was the sound of the guitar as she plucked its strings with grace... But whatever the case, his hands clutched the table in a strange manner, as if he were trying to hold back from doing something that would definitely be looked down upon by his brother...
But not even a moment later, his eyes glazed over, a strange reddish color coming into them as if someone had splashed paint into it... And the lights, as atmospheric as they were, suddenly flickered off. Jacob's movements were undetectable in the dark... His mind was fuzzy... A part of him was screaming to him that he shouldn't be doing this... And then there was a part of him that told him that his actions were fine...
Edward had felt the tension radiating from his brother's body, and for this reason, he tuned out the singing... The beautiful singing and the beautiful music and paid very close attention to every movement his brother made. Ad it was the glazing of Jacob's eye which was the sign for him to get him out of there, but alas, the lights flickered off, and Edward could no longer see where his brother had darted off to... But, he knew what he was going after... The girl.
"Don't do it!" he shouted in the dark, though he knew it would be of no use... Jacob would grab her and bring her back to the mansion before he knew it... Edward wanted to punch himself for not having taken any action before. The next time this would happen, he would grab Jacob before anything worse could occur. Edward, who knew Jacob only had one place to go to, took off for their home, bolting out the front door an down a dark alley, where he removed his jacket and shirt, wings sprouting out from his back, and away he went...
Jacob, meanwhile, was already atop the stage, his eyes perfectly fine to see in the dark. He could see the girl, her beautiful figure, and when he got up close to her, he could even smell her, a gentle fragrance that made his senses go numb for a moment. "I will not hurt you," he whispered softly in her ear before grabbing her, one arm around her torso, the other, cupping her mouth so that she could not scream out in alarm...

As much as she wanted to scream when the lights went out, she didn't. There was something in the air, something that made her stay completely still, and her breath caught in her throat when the voice whispered in her ear, his embrace far more gentle than she had expected. She knew she should be afraid, and she knew she should scream, but something kept her from doing both. Her eyes began to adjust to the darkness, and even as she was being pulled from the restaurant and lounge, she could make out his face almost. Her eyes widened when she realized it was the man she had been previously staring at, but before she could fully react, her body shut down, and she became unconscious. While passed out, images plagued her. She could see the crimson color of blood, a woman screaming, she could feel pain that wasn't hers.... And then she slept peacefully.

Jacob's movements were much more gentle than they would be normally as he secretly escaped the lounge, the lovely woman cradled bridal-style in his arms, the shadows masking his exit and his entrance of the car parked outside. He was glad the girl had passed out... It would be much more difficult if she could put up a fight. Jacob started the car's engine as the lights in the lounge flickered back on, only to reveal the musician was missing...
"What were you thinking?!" Edward shouted at him when he saw his brother enter the mansion. He had only been waiting for half an hour before seeing the headlights of the sports car pull up and into the driveway, rounding it to park itself in the garage. Edward was infuriated, pacing back and forth in the den before hearing the front door open and close. And it was then that he had advanced upon Jacob...
"You know you're not supposed to do that! We are not to upset the balance of her life..." Edward said, glancing at the girl that was being held by his demon brother. For a moment, when his eyes fell on her, they went soft. The girl looked calm while asleep... Something that Edward felt fond of... Something he knew he could fall for if he looked upon it for a moment too long... And because of this, he ripped his gaze away, turning a cold stare up to his brother. "So..." he said, waiting for Jacob to say something.
Jacob shook his head, looking down at the girl in his arms. "Forgive me, brother. I couldn't help myself," he said, now feeling a bit of shame for his actions. He glanced down at the girl... How beautiful she was as she slept... Jacob wanted to make her his... A love at first sight sort of ordeal...
"I will put her in the guest room. When she awakens, she can choose for herself what she wants to do. If she wants to go back, I will take her..." he said, though it pained him to think of having to take her back... No, Jacob wanted to keep this girl and have her for himself... Such a selfish man...

Despite the situation, Renae felt strangely safe in the man's arms, even as she slept. She was vaguely aware of what was going on around her, even with her eyes closed. After what seemed an eternity, her eyes began to open, and the first thing she saw was the man that had in a sense kidnapped her, carrying her up a set of stairs. She blinked, just looking up at him in curiosity. "Where are we?" She whispered, as if afraid she would disturb him if she spoke any louder. She wasn't really afraid, which made her a little nervous. Why did she feel no fear? The man had kidnapped her for God's sake and taken her back to what she guessed was his house! And still... She was comfortable. ((It's so difficult trying to choose which brother she will want in the end. ^^" The bad boy or the nice guy.))
