[This is a continuation from an old family RP, and will contain Shizuka Tsuyoi in the first few posts but afterwards it will just be Windflame and Pilgrim. Also, this is a RP for just WNC and me, PGM.] 
He had gotten lucky to get to know Blackfire--Windflame's daughter--and because of her he was able to "train" with Windflame. His black furcoat color hid them well enough since they had grown over them, but his scars were still there... if hidden.
He remembered days where he thought he would die; memories flooded him as he looked around, jumping at everything, thinking he would die at any second. Windflame had become more secluded as of late, and Blackfire had vanished some place, so this forest area was even more mysterious. As he walked, he stumbled and found himself against--
"...AH!"
He gasped. He had found him.
"Shizuka Tsuyoi. Why have you returned?"
The dark Kalona couldn't have been anymore intimidating. Scarlet eyes that always seem to pulse with a glow were now trained on the smaller, slighter stallion, who stood before him quivering. So his young student still feared him? How... amusing.
"Speak.""M-M-Master!" he stuttered, surprised at himself. Where was Blackfire when he needed her?! "M-Master, I've come to find you to ask for a... request." Shizuka knew that Windflame noticed he was still shaking, and that his scent of fear was coming off his body in heaps.
He watched as the kalona tilted his head, a signal he knew to tell him Windflame was listening. The Kalona never spoke more than was necessary, which Shizuka was grateful for, unless one wanted to get into a banter of words with Windflame, something the Kalona enjoyed (which was odd, but fine, if one wanted to stay alive).
"The... My... I've come to request you to deal a test to a new member of... the.... of the family. The family doesn't trust him yet, and they wish for the stallion to... prove himself.
"And... I ask that you do not kill him, but..." he stopped, seeing as Windflame's eyes seemed to have glowed, though it could have been the trick of the sunlight."...Is that so, Shizuka Tsuyoi?" he watched the younger stallion, and then he turned briskly. "Come." He had many things to prepare for, and he knew of what test to predict this kind of outcome. From what he had heard with the rumors circulating Hania's ever growing herd of a family...
There was a new stallion that had more heart than fight, and he knew this test did not mean it would be physical. Perhaps it would, to prove that the stallion was strong, but if he was a stallion of words... His ear twitched as he heard the hoofsteps of Shizuka following behind him.
"Should you not step lighter, Shizuka Tsuyoi?"
He couldn't help but to reprimand the young stallion; this forest may be his dwelling, but even he did not fight off all other creatures that lived here. He worked in harmony with them, for they provided for him as much as he provided for them, which was why he was able to survive without killing too many other Soquili.

 A stallion appears out in the meadows as he knew the day was to arrive sooner than expected. He looked towards his surroundings and sighs, remembering just how strong he needed to be. This stallion would be called Pilgrim. Pilgrim simply thought back to the moment when the sun was just rising when Snowlily, his leader of the herd had approached him. "..Pilgrim.. Just trust in your heart and your will to protect those you love. We all believe in you. Your children will be proud of you."
As he remembered the words, he smiled slightly as if he believed her. He knew he could trust her since she was the one that showed him the ways of life around her. "..My will is to protect everyone in my life.. especially my dear Zaria and our children." He would wait for Shiz's word in the meadow like they had agreed to do so before. He knew he was nervous. He knew he would have to show that his will is stronger than anything that kalona has ever will see before. He stomped the ground quite hard, making all the rabbits and foxes scatter for their ground dens.
Pilgrim looked to where his love and baskets are at and sighs. ".. I will past the test for you, my love.. I will show you just what I will do for you." He said softly into the wind.

As he led Windflame to the designated area where Pilgrim would be, he winced as he thought about what Windflame would do. There really wasn't anything the Kalona couldn't do; seriously, the guy could fly, he had fangs, hooves that he sharped on a daily basis against rocks, and horns! He didn't have the usual demonic tail, but perhaps that was part of why Windflame was so frightening.
The Kalona was a pure-breed, despite his appearance. However, because his appearance made it look as if he was a half-breed, it would scared even the toughest unicorn out there, just because he was unpredictable. "Master, your testee will be waiting for you in the open meadow fields. He is a bright brown almost orange colored stallion, and he is here to prove his courage. Please don't wound him too deeply, for he is already family, but only because the mate he wishes for birthed two children before they were ready."
A smirk appeared before vanishing. "You are judging, Shizuka Tsuyoi?" At the young stallion's not, he tsk'd and walked forward, hardly making a sound. He suppressed his bloodlust as well as he could, just so that his opponent would at least get his nerves together.
Then...
Then, he would unleash his entire bloodlust. He knew his former student would stop the test if he got to close to killing the other stallion, but he was doubtful that even his former student would be able to stop him. He strode to the meadow in brisk steps.

Pilgrim's ears flickered as he began to hear the voices of his friend and then another voice.. one that seems to be almost evil. He folded his ears down before putting on a brave face and stood there almost like what a soldier horse would do. "..It is almost time..." He said to himself. He knew he will get hurt during the fight. He was willing to go all the way just for his love for Zaria." He burred slightly to try to keep himself from getting nervous. Shiz had warned him several times about Windflame ever since Zaria had demanded a test for him to prove himself in. But Pilgrim shook it off and always told Shiz, "Shiz.. I can do this. You believe me. You trust me already. Zaria needs to see this.. or at least hear about it." He frowns as he remembers the memory of that day after Zaria had the baskets. "... Zaria..."
He looked towards the forest and narrowed his eyes as he had finally got the courage to do it. It took him this long to get himself ready. It was time and he knew it was past the point of no return. It was either past the test or fail in winning his love's heart and trust. He knew he would not be able to bear the shame of facing her if he had indeed lose.
With a booming voice, he says, "Windflame! I am ready! I know all about you. I will not show you fear." He kept his eyes narrowed at the forest as he knew his courage and will was growing with each passing minute.

As his former student departed to watch and judge from the sidelines, a wild, challenging sound reached his ears as he took his first steps into the meadow, where his eyes soon found the bright-brown, almost orange stallion glaring at him with a strong will. At least this one was fiery, which was good; he had already passed that part of the test.
Blood-stained hooves approached the other slowly with nary a sound, almost as if he was ghost with how he almost floated over to Pilgrim. "You, who have called upon me, the demon stallion with such challenge, understand you may not live?"
Well, of course the stallion would live, but this was a test, and he would not allow distractions of any other sort cause this stallion to falter. After all, his former student had one request that had gone unheard from others.
"Don't kill him."
Shizuka's voice rang in his head for a moment before he stood up straight, eyeing the smaller stallion with an almost dark aura of regality. He tilted his head, the sun light bouncing off his pure white horns that protruded from his head.
"Come."

When he saw that the kalona had finally came, he did his best to show that his will is strong. When Windflame had asked him a question, his voice rang out strong and true to his words, "I do understand that I may not live but I must do this to show that my will and love for my beloved Zaria is strong. I will do anything to show her just what I am and want to be for her!"
He walks towards the kalona as he felt his nervousness disappearing like it was slowly dripping away from him almost like rainwater. He took one last glance at where his den where his mate and children are. He silently said to himself, "I will prove my will and love to you, Zaria.. I promise." He then went on to follow the kalona. His tail flicked back and forth almost if he was ready for a showdown that was meant for him all of his life.

He flexed his wings as he watched the stallion proclaim his vows. He would never understand these others; what they meant by love. He had found love... or so he thought. He had been betrayed, and henceforth he knew what it was to be what he was.
He was a demon, and because of what he was, it made him who he was. He did not care any longer for others that did not wish to look beyond what he was to who he was. He had met few Soquili like that, and as such, he had even lost two of his old lifemates--one who betrayed, the other because of his selfishness.
He would not be denied a way to release his frustration. This stallion would learn what it would be like to despair... to feel betrayed... to see that he would not...
The crazed bloodlust he had held back unleashed itself. He trained his blood-crazed scarlet eyes on the stallion.
"Come!"

Pilgrim would only scowl for a second but hids it before the kalona could see. He simply followed his orders while wondering where Shiz is at. He only hope that he hadn't bit more than he could chew so to speak. He began to think of all of the things that led up to that day.
Meeting Zaria... Finding more about her.. then the mating that had just happened without any plans for the future... He sighs as he stopped at that moment in his mind. He looked at the kalona and knew he had a big challenge on himself. He believed in his will and love that he can pass the test. He burred softly while looking around the place, wondering where they are going.

He snarled silently; impatiently. This stallion was more frustrating than he had anticipated. No wonder 'the family' had had difficulty in accepting him. What was Zahariah thinking? Foolish stallion! While these thoughts ravaged his mind, his entire outside facial expression remained blank.
"Who are you waiting on?"
The stallion was more than smart, it seemed; perhaps his silent taunt had not provoked the other enough. This puny, mortal Soquili obviously had no idea what was going on.
Perhaps he was waiting to see Shizuka Tsuyoi. That was unlikely, however, for his student knew better than to be within sight of his barely controlled bloodlust.
"I am not one to trade insults, but as it stands..."
He allowed a smirk to be seen. It was rare for his emotions to show on his face, but when it happened, many usually ran.
He knew this stallion wouldn't run. He could see from the 'love' that emanated from his body, the 'determination'.
"...Perhaps, you, who has come here, expects to live? Do not count on it."
With those final words, he lunged at a speed impossible to see, to react to. At the back of the black warrior's mind, he had a minute hope that Shizuka Tsuyoi would rescue this poor idiotic creature.
His fangs flashed.

Pilgrim narrowed his eyes when he watches the kalona's actions. Deep down he was actually fearing for his life but his determination won over. He only merely growled at the stallion before seeing that he had took off towards him.
"...Kalona... I will defeat you." He said with a snarl and suddenly ran towards him, knowing that he probably will get hurt but had to do this as a test of will on himself. He sent out a kick towards the kalona's face quicker than most soquilis. He was indeed strong for a stallion.. as least he hope he is to pass this test.

Had Windflame been less of a warrior he would never had been able to avoid that kick that the stallion had suddenly thrown. Snarling at the close hit, he flailed his front hooves, rearing as the sunlight flashed venomously on his sharpened hooves. He came crashing down in a few moments, hoping to at least slash at his opponent's flanks.
He said nothing in reply to the stallion's wish of defeating him. There was nothing more for him to say. There was this fight, this bloodlust... this adrenaline! He would not allow such a pitiful creature to mock him. His warrior's pride wouldn't allow it.
His fangs flashed once more, coming down to bite at the stallion's neck, freezing just a millimeter away as he heard a familiar voice.
"Stop!"
He bellowed at the top of his lungs, knowing that if Windflame went any further and bit Pilgrim, it would be the end. The smell and taste of blood would drive the barely-in-control kalona wild, and it would have resulted in a death not needed. Not wanted.
"Master, calm yourself!"
He struggled not to stutter out of fear for Windflame; he was a fighter born (it was in his blood after all) but even he still held fear of the demon horses.
"Master, I said not to kill him! If you bite him, you will lose control. You don't like losing control... right?"
Shizuka hoped he had managed to get to Windflame, though he felt he was going to be punished later if Pilgrim used this stunned silence to his advantage and fought off Windflame at that instant.
"Master, as soon as you move your fangs away from him, you may continue the battle."
Windflame pulled away from the orange-brown stallion, snapping his jaws in the air as he glowered at Shizuka Tsuyoi. He would punish his student later, but he nodded to let his student know he was grateful. He despised not being in control.

Pilgrim glares at the kalona and then winced once he had felt the hooves on his side. He was just about to send a back kick to Windflame neck when he had heard Shiz. He stood there in shock as he glares at the kalona, wanting to pass the test. He moved slightly to move away from him. "....Shiz...Thank you.. but. I have to do this. He can do what he wants." He said in a soft tone of voice. He had to hold himself back during the silence since it was dishonor to attack during the said silence. He looks at Shiz. "..The test is not yet done.. My heart tells me to finish the battle." He snorts as he waits for the battle to continue.
He paws the ground sharply, looking straight into the eyes of the kalona. ".....I am ready for whenever you are ready, kalona. I am not afraid of you. I am already starting to bare the scars of the battle for Zaria."

Shizuka tilted his head in response to Pilgrim, and then shook his head with a sigh. Well, what the stallion wanted is what Zaria wanted, and because of that, well... who was he to stand in their way?
"Fine. I won't interfere again. You better live, Pilgrim... otherwise..."
The underlying threat in Shizuka's voice could have caused any other Soquili to shiver in fear, had the situation not already been intense as it was. He turned to stare directly into the eyes of his teacher, before flinching away at the killer look he received in return.
"...Begin."
He made a mad dash out of the range of flying hooves and fangs, watching the battle with cold, calculating eyes.
"So be it..."
He did not answer as he glowered at his student, merely nodding his acknowledging with a slight grunt. He changed his stance as he eyed the enemy. The fool would not get away. The adrenaline, the fear, the fluctuating emotions that flickered around this stallion had him tasting the air in anticipation.
It was too bad he couldn't kill this tasty creature; it was a hunt worthy of his warrior status... but he did not quite hunt. This prey was brought to him by his student... an offering? No... what was it Shizuka Tsuyoi had said...?
"This is a test, Master. Nothing more. Don't kill him."
Snarling silently and wondering why he even bothered to listen to his student's request, he once more lunged with ferocity at the smaller stallion. This time, he would not be stopped!
The blood lust in his eyes burned all the brighter at the prospect of a challenge...
