-Re-edited on February 1st, 2009. Due to enlightenment.
Before thinking this is a spam topic, just hear me out.
Is there a preference or a playstyle or just a single game, that no matter anyone says how good it is that you'll flat out say "No way" or "No chance" in hell.
I'll will post my "NEW" hatred later on.

Most online game that requires level grinding or that have huge d**k masses. (WoW and Halo). I would say MMORPG at most. I like a game that can end, MMORPG never does with expansion packs left and right. And pay monthly costs? No thanks. Hence why I never bothered to give Zomg! a try. It looks kinda silly anywyas.

Hrm...I don't think I got a genre that I dislike (except Puzzle games with no story) but I could rant about the genre that I like less: Racing games.
The reasons I like this genre less:
-Few tatics (Shortcuts and nitro for some) -Make an error (like crashing into a wall) and you almost say that you lost the race. -For some: Tunning = Boosting up the car (not sacrificing some driving aspects ex: losing some acceleration for a higher top speed, gaining some control but losing some nitro, stuff like that) -Knowing the place is a ******** HUGE ADVANTAGE!
My favorite racing game so far is F-Zero GX since it got a good story (IMO), tunning weren't just boosting the car up and because of FALCON PUNCH!

Junior~Mints i honestly, do not undestand the topic. are we talking about genres we can not stand? Normally I would say something like "Then why bother posting at all if you can't try to understand", but I like this guild too much not to give anybody a reason to boot my a** out.
Since I'm in a good mood, I'll explain. It's simply it's something anybody else does but you'll wouldn't it even if you either have a gun to your head or it gets you a free ********. In basic terms, just say whatever you wouldn't be caught dead doing.

Games that everyone touts as amazing from a gameplay standpoint, but have weak to terrible writing/storylines, and uninteresting presentation.
I've gotten to the point in my fandom that if it doesn't have a great story with good writing and character development, then I'm not interested (unless it's a genre that doesn't need it, like a puzzle game).
It's one of the main reasons why I've been so meh about most newer games lately, with a few exceptions. Especially games coming out of Japan.
I mainly blame how quickly the industry became a huge money making beast that is shifting to making big budget titles for a mainstream audience. This hinders a project's ability to tell an original story, out of fear of limiting a potential customer base.

Okay, here's my NEW "something I wouldn't be caught dead playing with.... Wait for it....
Sports Games!
All I see it as the same thing, only the rosters changed. Why waste fifty dollars on a game while can be used to buy tickets to watch an actual sport game or play it on a grassy knoll with friends for free and laughs instead?
